    August Anhalt was born October 13, 1847 in Germany. He speaks only German. He owns an 80 acre farm 5 miles northeast of Kiel.
    Susanna Hartmann (his wife) was born Sept. 20, 1849 in Germany. She speaks only German. She is a sister to John Hartmann and Herman Hartmann. Married Feb. 22, 1870 in St. Nazianz by Rev. Oschwald. In 1906 there were two children still living at home. Those two are: Albert born Sept. 24, 1884, Clemens born Aug. 15, 1889 Besides the 2 above there are 6 married children. They are 1 son in St. Anna, 1 son in Sheboygan, 1 son in Plymouth, 1 son John Anhalt in Kiel, 1 daughter in Town of Rhine plus the wife of Peter Hensen (who is member of St. Peter and Paul).

    August Anhalt
    Death claimed August Anhalt retired farmer, and resident of this city for fourteen years, on Wednesday morning at 1:20. He had been ill for two months, and hardening of the arteries was the immediate cause of his demise. Mr. Anhalt was born in Brandenburg, Germany, on Oct. 13, 1847, coming to America, Sheboygan county, in 1852. he was married in 1870 to Miss Susanna Hartmann, Who survives him, and the following children: Mrs. Jos. Steinbruecker of Sheboygan, Mrs. Helen Hensen of Fond du lac, Peter of Plymouth, John of Chilton,William of Shoboygan, Albert of Marytown and Clemens on the homestead in the town of Eaton. There are also two sisters, Mrs.Magdelina Guenter of Antigo and Sister Aemiliana at St. Josephs Convent at Milwaukee. Mr. Anhalt also leaves 44 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Rev. A Roder will conduct the funeral services which will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul church on Monday morning at 10 o"clock. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

    Anhalt Funeral Will Be Held This Morning
    Funeral services for Albert Anhalt, 70, will be held from SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church this morning, Thursday, at 9:30 o'clock. The Rev. F.X. Kheil will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Mr. Anhalt died Monday at St. Nicholas Hospital. He was born September 24, 1884 in Eaton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Anhalt. October 15, 1907 he married Miss Catherine Nicolay of New Holstein. They located on a farm near New Holstein. In 1942 they moved to Kiel. His wife died in 1947. In 1950 he married Mrs. Verna Bechle of Kiel. He was a member of the Holy Name society. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Gilbert of New Holstein, and Lando of Appleton; two brothers, John of Chilton and Clemens of Kiel. Also a sister, Mrs. Helen Hensen, Fond du Lac, and 16 grandchildren.

    Clemens F. Anhalt, 88, a former rural Kiel resident, died July 20 at Rocky Knoll where he resided the past three months. Born August 15, 1889, in the Town of Eaton, a son of August and Susanna Hartmann Anhalt, he attended district school in the Town of Eaton. He married the former Alma Gast on October 22, 1912, in Kiel. Mr. Anhalt and his wife farmed in the Town of Eaton until 1940, when they moved to Kiel. He was employed at the Polar Ware Company in Sheboygan until his retirement in 1958. Mrs. Anhalt died in 1947. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, and the Holy Name Society of the parish. Survivors include two daughters, three sons, 20 grandchildren and 30 great -grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, following family rites at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Reverend Francis Kerscher, pastor, was celebrant of the Mass. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

    Anhalt, Lando A. 1005 W. Winnebago St. Appleton Age 91, passed away at his home, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, February 5, 2003. Lando was born April 11, 1911 in the Town of New Holstein, Calumet County, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Albert and Catherine (Nicolay) Anhalt. Lando has resided in the New Holstein and Appleton areas all of his life. He was united in marriage to Pauline Achter in Chilton on January 31, 1933, sharing 70 years together. Lando was employed by Kimberly-Clark Corp., at the Lakeview Mill, for 30 years, retiring in 1971. Following his retirement, Lando enjoyed walking, biking, and woodworking. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
    He will be deeply missed by his wife, Pauline; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Tom School, Appleton; granddaughter, Stacy (John) Tadych, Kaukauna; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaylee, and Jonathan Thomas "J T" Tadych and another great-grandchild, due to arrive in July. Lando is also survived by a sister-in-law, Edna Anhalt, New Holstein; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
    In addition to his parents, Lando was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert and Gilbert (Veronica) Anhalt; a sister, Sylveria Anhalt; and a grandson and his wife, Sarah and Tom School, Jr.
    The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10AM Saturday, February 8th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., with Fr. John Holly, Msgr. John Schuh, and Fr. Michael O'Rourke con-celebrating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel from 4-8PM Friday and then directly at the church from 9AM Saturday until the time of the service. The parish prayer service will be held at 7PM Friday. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tim Shaw and to Affinity Hospice, (especially Sandy, Gina, and Mary) for their loving care during this difficult time.
