    Obituary:
    Cyril H. Verheyen "Bear" March 21, 1943-January 30, 2014. Son of the late John and Caroline (Kerkhoff) Verheyen died at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Cyril graduated from Preble High School in 1961 then proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Cyril also served as an auxiliary Deputy for the Brown County Civil Defense Department. On Aug 6, 1966, Cyril married his true love Mary C. Vanden Langenberg and had two children; Mark A. and Valerie J. Verheyen. In 1976, his entrepreneurial spirit led he, and partners, to build the Twin Cities Roller Dome in Marinette, WI. In 2004, he retired after 35 years of service as a mechanic for Schneider National. Cyril's generosity, creativity and love for building always made him first to help friends and family with projects. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved cooking and travel.
    He is survived by wife Mary and children, Mark (fiancé) Patricia (Dolan), and Valerie Verheyen; sisters Florence Gardipee, Mary Kunesh, Nola (Fabian) Rentmeester, Eileen (Lloyd) Sigl; brothers Bernie (Elaine) Verheyen, Darrell (fiancé Margene) Verheyen; sisters-in-law Nancy, Elizabeth and Delores Verheyen, Marlis (George) Richards, Sandy (Mike) Klimek; brothers-in-law, Earl (Dorothy), Clayton (Betty), Roger (Bonnie), Randall (Cheryl), Keith (Kathy) Vanden Langenberg, and James Devroy as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Cyril was preceded in death by family, Evelyn (Bud Guerts), Elmer, Alvin, Harold (Lil), John Jr., Cliff (Joanne), Juleen (Bernie Scray), Delores, Cletus, Ray, Clayton, and Judy (Devroy) Verheyen; brother-in-law Joe Kunesh, Rodney Vanden Langenberg; and sister-in-law Carmen Kane.
    Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 1 to 4 p.m. Memorial service 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Deacon Bill Burkel officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
