    Obituary:
The home of Anton Nadler in the town of Stockbridge, was made desolate on Monday afternoon at about five o'clock, when the wife and mother was summoned by death after an illness of six days from influenza-pneumonia. A strong effort was made to bring the patient through but the ravishes of the disease was stronger than all human effort and despite the care and nursing she succumbed to it. The sad feature of the case is that the father and eight small children, the oldest eleven years and the youngest a babe of five weeks, are all ill with influenza and under the care of two nurses. The heart of the community goes out to them in sympathy for their great affliction.
Marie Wettstein, second youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Wettstein, was born in the town of Chilton Dec. 15, 1886. She was married to Anton Nadler in June,1907 and they began housekeeping on the Frank Nadler homestead in the town of Stockbridge, which he took over when his parents retired from active farm work.
She was a beautiful girl in childhood and developed into a splendid wife and mother, giving her children the tenderest care and leaving nothing undone that might further the welfare of her husband and family. Neighborly and hospitable, she was well liked and held the respect and affection of everyone in the community.
The funeral took place on Wednesday forenoon from St. Elizabeth's church at Kloten, Rev. Fr. J. H. Huhn of Jericho celebrating Requiem Mass, with interment in St. Elizabeth's cemetery. Many beautiful flowers were sent to the home as an expression of sympathy to the bereft ones and as a tribute to the memory of the dead.
She is survived by her husband and eight children, also by her mother, Mrs. Katherine Wettstein of this city, and five brothers, John Wettstein of Oshkosh, Edw. Wettstein of Stanley, Simon and Albert of Stockbridge and Hubert Wettstein of Monico; four sisters, Mrs. John Seichter of Charlesburg, Mrs. John Dohr of Chilton city, Mrs. Aug. Propson and Mrs. John Propson of Stockbridge.

Marie married Nadler, Anton "Tony" 12 Jun 1907. Anton (son of Nadler, Franz and Reinl, Anna) was born 19 Oct 1881, Marytown, Calumet, Wisconsin; died 28 May 1959, Stockbridge, Calumet, Wisconsin, USA. [Group Sheet]

    Obituary:
Paul Wagner, age 73, of Stockbridge, ended life's journey on October 14, 2011 at home and started his journey into everlasting life with Jesus. He was born August 31, 1938 in Brothertown, son of the late Norbert & Alvera (Nadler) Wagner. Paul was raised on his family's farm and was always proud to be known as a "farm kid". He attended St. Mary's School and Stockbridge High School. After graduation, Paul and his buddies joined the US Army Reserves.
Upon returning home, he married Mary Kay Schumacher on September 13, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. They enjoyed 53 years of good times together. Paul spent 38 years working at Kimberly Clark Lakeview Mill, retiring in 1995. He also spent several summers working on the commercial fishing boats on Lake Winnebago, jobs he was thankful for and truly enjoyed. He served many years on the Stockbridge Fire Department and as an usher at St. Mary's Church.
After retirement, he spent his days fishing, hunting, feeding the birds and wildlife, cutting wood and spending as much time as possible with family and friends at their home and also their "little piece of heaven" at Clam Lake. Time there was especially enjoyed during the fall bow hunting season. Paul also enjoyed spending time on the lake sturgeon spearing. In 1972 and 1981 he speared the largest sturgeon on the lake.
He and Winnie never missed an afternoon ride through the park before supper. He also loved the sunsets and quiet times at home by the fireplace watching the Brewers, Packers, Bucks and many hunting, fishing and nature shows. He even liked snow storms, just so he could plow the snow with his "toys". Paul's traditional values in everyday life were outstanding examples to his family and those that knew him and he never considered anyone a stranger. He also had a tremendous sense of devotion of the Blessed Mother.
Survivors include his wife: Mary Kay; children: Sue (Art) Kosterman of Kennan, Patti (Tom) Parsons of Stockbridge, Connie (Kurt) Groeschl of Chilton, Joe (friend Lory West) of Stock bridge; 8 grandchildren: Christy Coenen and friend Luke Hawley, Courtney (Nick) Jackels, Kelly Parsons and friend Brian Gardner, Jonathan (Kristin) Groeschl, Nathan Groeschl, Ashley (Joel) Longmore, Mike (Andrea) Wagner, Lacy (Mike) Parker; 4 great grandchildren: Kennedy, Elise, & Anthony Jackels and Kyan Longmore; 2 brothers: John (Sandi) Wagner, Mark (Sandy) Wagner; 3 sisters: Mary (John) Alger, Joan (Andy) Meyer, Lois (Bill) Forstner; brother-in-law: Chuck (Joann) Schumacher; and sisters-in-law: Gen (Ed) Gerhartz, Carol (Vince) Feldkamp. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Alvera & Norbert Wagner; and his mother and father-in-law: Tillie and Jobby Schumacher.
Funeral service will be at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Mike Betley officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 PM until 4:30 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2011.
Paul and Mary would like to thank our Calumet County Hospice Nurse, Amy, and her staff; Dr. Goggins and his staff of nurses; Father Mike and Deacon Steve, and all of the help from our family, friends, and our special angel, Kelly. We couldn't have done this without all of you.
Paul would like to say a very special thank you to his little gal and shadow "Winnie" for her constant love and devotion in his good days and the not so good ones.
Dad, Every kid should be lucky enough to have a dad like you. We will be forever grateful that you are ours. Love Sue, Patti, Connie, and Joe.
