    Obituary:
Barbara A. Lemke, age 49, St. Paul, MN, went to live with her Lord on Sunday, March 28, 2010, after a long and vigilant battle with cancer. Barb was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on February 23, 1961, the daughter of Milo and Joan (Krause) Lemke. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville, and was currently a member of Woodland Hills Church, St. Paul. Barb graduated from Hortonville High School and the University of Minnesota. She was passionate about her work at the ARC of Greater Twin Cities, advocating for people with disabilities. Barb enjoyed many hobbies including biking, hiking, traveling, being a DJ (Fab Babz), and was a huge Packer fan; always loving her Brett Favre. Barb's upbeat attitude and outgoing, loving personality had a positive impact on countless people.
Barb is survived by her parents; her brother, Jeff (Kathy) Lemke, and their sons, Jason, Brandon, and Collin; her sister, Lisa (Bill) Timm, and their children, Justin, Jamie, and Cory. She also is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends; also her two faithful cats, Buddy and Sadie.
Her grandparents, Arthur and Hazel Lemke, and Adolph and Dorothy Krause; and a nephew, Brett Lemke, precede Barb in death.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home, 109 W. Main Street, Hortonville, from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010. A memorial service at the funeral home will be held at 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Woodland Hills Church, 1740 Van Dyke Street, St. Paul, MN, on Friday, April 9, 2010, at 2 p.m.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Corey and her staff at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN, for their wonderful care.
Barb was such a caring and loving daughter, sister, and sister-in-law. She taught us some very special lessons about life. She has left behind countless memories that will bring joy to the countless hearts she has touched. It gives us comfort to know that Barb's soul has found a pain-free, peaceful place in heaven.
Love you always, Mom and Dad - Kathy and Jeff - Lisa and Bill
"Barb was an amazing influence to all of her nephews and to her niece. We were like her own children to her. We couldn't wait to go visit Barb when we were young. She loved to travel with us and would often come camping with us every summer. She taught us to appreciate everything the world has to offer and fueled my desire to get out and travel and try something different."
