    Biography:
JOSEPH TENNIE, one of the highly respected citizens of Greenville township, Outagamie county, where he owns a well-improved farm, is a native of Westphalia, Prussia, Germany, where he was born February 6, 1844, and a son of Joseph and Frances (Sigman) Tennie, born at Lugde, Prussia, the former in 1808 and the latter in 1812. Mr. Tennie's parents, who were farming people, never came to the United States. Joseph Tennie received his education in the schools of his native country, and at the age of twenty-eight years he came to the United States, settling in Greenville, where he worked for others until his marriage, and at that time settled on the farm he now occupies, which he had purchased a short time previously. He now has an excellent tract of eighty acres in this farm and also owns seventy acres across the road, and he is ably assisted in his agricultural pursuits by his sons. Mr. Tennie and his family rank among the best and most respectable citizens of Greenville township, and it is such as he, with willing and progressive disposition, industrious habits and law-abiding principles, that have made the township what it is. The family is connected with the Roman Catholic Church at Greenville. On April 10, 1877, Mr. Tennie was married to Emma Lippert, who was born in Greenville township, May 19, 1858, daughter of George and Frances (Sonderleiter) Lippert, natives of Baden, Germany, and early settlers of Outagamie county, Wisconsin. Both died in Greenville township, where they owned a large tract of land and carried on farming. Mr. and Mrs. Tennie have had eight children: Mary, single and residing at home; Joseph, a resident of Greenville township, engaged in the Rural Free Delivery service; Agnes, in the convent at St. Francis, Sister Ermelinda; and Oscar, John, George, Dora and Helen, all of whom reside at home.

Joseph married Lippert, Emma 10 Apr 1877, Greenville, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA. Emma (daughter of Lippert, George and Sonderleiter, Frances) was born 19 May 1858, Greenville, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; died 23 Sep 1944, Appleton, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; was buried , St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. Mom, your youthful energy was an inspiration to us four girls who often times had trouble just keeping up with you. What wonderful meals you made for your family and friends. You loved playing cards with "the girls," and dancing with dad, especially the polka. For over 50 plus years, mom truly enjoyed the company of her neighbors who were like family, and got together for their weekly coffee clutch. Your many years working at Northwest Fabrics established lifelong friends. You loved life and lived it to the fullest. Thank you for taking us to church and loving God. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts and we will miss you so much.
With love, Dad and your girls.

    Obituary:
James J Viotto, Sr., of Little Chute, Wisconsin, went home to be with his savior and Lord Jesus Christ on April 4th, 2017, shortly after celebrating his 80th birthday, surrounded by family and friends. Jim was born April 1, 1937 to Joseph and Ethel (Lickert) Viotto and graduated from St. Mary's high school in 1956. That same year, James and his brother Gene joined the Army, where he spent 3 years serving our country in Germany and California. In 1965, James met the love of his life Shirley (Humblet) and they were married October 15, 1966. Together they raised 6 children; Mark (Jackie) of Alaska, Jane Hauser (Tony) of Florida, Rick (Dianne) of Alaska, James Jr. of Appleton, Mike (Nikki) of Green Bay, and Greg (Nate) of Kimberly. He is further survived by his siblings, Gene (Charlene), Beannie (Gary) Malchow, Leanne Schreiner, Shirley (Rich) Syring, Joe (Cheri), Sue (John) Fink, Bethie (Joe) Megna, and Gene Paalman. He is further survived by his spouse's family; William (Peggy) Muskevitsch, Beverly (Dennis) Plaster, Debbie Muskevitsch, Jean Humblet, and by 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In 1972, Jim and his brother Gene founded Tri - City Auto Sales, a car dealership in Menasha. He worked there up until 2016, when he finally decided it was time to retire. Jim was a very hard working man and always did everything to the best of his ability - a trait he passed on to all of his children. Jim was very strong in his faith; after he accepted Jesus into his life, he joined Cornerstone Church in Menasha (formerly Evangel), where he was a member for over 30 years.
Jim was an avid, year-round outdoorsman. In November, you'd find him in Tomahawk hunting with his best friend Jim Greil. In February, you'd catch him in Canada fishing on White Fish Lake. No matter the weather, he was always planted on his ice bucket determined to catch the fish, which he always was able to do even when no one else could. Once summer arrived, Jim would be on his way to the lakes of St. Joseph determined to catch the monster northern and walleyes. In later years, he was able to purchase one of the cottages owned by his parents on Lake Shawano and spent many memorable summers fishing the lake, just like his dad before him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ethel, mother-in-law Esther Muskevitsch, father-in-law Richard Humblet, sister Mary Ann Paalman, sister-in-law Laura Mentzel, brother-in-law Joe Muskevitsch, brother-in-law Jim Muskevitsch, brother-in-law John Muskevitsch, brother-in-law Romy Muskevitsch, brother-in-law John Humblet, granddaughter Ellice Viotto, nephew Gary Paalman, and his best friend Jim Greil.
The funeral will be held at Cornerstone Church, 357 Broad Street in Menasha on Sunday April 9th. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3pm and the church service following. For more information and to express condolences, please visit www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.

    Obituary:
Kodye Michael Fassbender, age 16 of Grand Chute, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 as a result of suicide. Our home is now void of Kodye's smiling face and quick witted personality. The world is now a bit dimmer. Kodye will forever be remembered for his avid love of the outdoors, his passion for Wounded Warriors and Mission 22 organizations and his willingness to always help a friend or a fellow classmate. Kodye had quite an impact on all those who knew him. He was a proud American and respected our country with a zeal not found in most teenagers.
We hope Kodye's death can be a catalyst for more open conversations around mental health and suicide awareness. If you or someone you know is struggling right now with mental health issues, please text HOPELINE to 741741.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship is being established at Appleton North High School to aid an upcoming graduate to pursue a career in the mental health field.
Memorials may also be given in Kodye's name to the Mission 22 Project or the Wounded Warrior Project.
The family wishes to thank the Grand Chute Police Department, Marquette University Police Department, the Mission Church and the Victim Crisis Responders, Jennifer and Carolyn for their support in our immediate time of need.
Mike, Lisa and Nycole also wish to thank all of their family and friends for their unwavering support during this especially difficult period of life.
"It's been a long day, without you my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again."
    Kodye-
We hope and pray you've found the peace you sought. Part of our hearts went to heaven with you. The remaining parts we'll hold and remember you all our days. We'll always be proud to be called your mom, dad and sister. Until we meet again, our love for you is unending.
Love you. Mom, Dad and Nycole.
    Kodye,
I am so heartbroken over losing you-you were my bud. Make sure G-Pa does the McDonald's runs til I see you again.
Love and miss you. G'Ma Heenan.
