    Hopfensperger, PFC Arthur W.
    PFC Arthur W. Hopfensperger, K.I.A. November 28, 1950, in Korea, finally will come home to be laid to rest. Arthur was born in Appleton, August 27, 1932, son of the late Raymond and Pearl (Filz) Hopfensperger.
    Arthur joined the U.S. Army when he was 17. He served his country honorably during the Korean conflict in Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 32 Infantry Division and was in Korea only a short time before being K.I.A.
    Arthur's remains were positively identified in 2005, from a successful family DNA match, from his cousin, Elaine Lastofka, Appleton.
    Arthur is survived by two brothers, Donald (Joyce), Appleton, and Steven; sister-in-law, Carol Hopfensperger, Appleton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family members of Arthur's whom has since died are his brother, Raymond; two sisters, Pearl Korth, Marie Belling; and a nephew, Adam Hopfensperger.
    A graveside service with full military honors for Arthur will be at 3:00 PM on Monday October 8, 2012, at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton with Rev. Marty Koeller officiating.

    Raymond W. Hopfensperger Jr. 1832 N. Ullman St. Appleton
    Age 55, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, 4:43 p.m. November 15, 1989. He was born June 10, 1934 in Appleton and had been an Appleton resident all of his life. He was owner-operator of his own truck. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Carol A. [Howe] Hopfensperger; a daughter, Sherry, at home; three sons and two daughter in-law, Robin and Sue, serving with the Air Force at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware; Larry and Anita, Menasha; Brian, Appleton; two brothers and sisters in-law, Don and Joyce, Steve and Sandy, all of Appleton; a sister, Pearl Korth, California; seven grandchildren; his father, Raymond Sr., Appleton.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, a sister, a brother, and a son, David.
    Complete funeral services will be Saturday, November 18, 1989 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. M. P. Spaude officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Appleton from 4-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. at the church until the time of service.

    Donald R. Hopfensperger, 76 of Appleton died Tuesday November 13, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Appleton, July 1, 1936, son of the late Raymond and Pearl (Filz) Hopfensperger. Donald married Joyce Brehmer on October 20, 1956.
    Donald served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict from 1953 to 1955. He was a truck driver for various companies and later became his own owner/operator, retiring in 1999. Donald was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Appleton. He enjoyed camping, especially in Marion with his family.
    Donald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce; three daughters, Debora Cornaro, VA, Karen Kraft, Kaukauna, and Lisa (Percy) Lawrence, Appleton; son, Mark (Michelle), Appleton; nine Grandchildren; six Great-Grandchildren; a brother, Steve; sister-in-law, Carol Hopfensperger, Appleton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur, and Raymond; two sisters, Marie, and Pearl; and a nephew, Adam.
    Memorial service will be 11:00 AM on Friday November 16, 2012 at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2220 E College Ave, Appleton with Rev. Martin E. Koeller, and Rev. Timothy Seabaugh co-officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Full military honors will follow his service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    Donald's family would like to thank the staffs at Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Dawn, Amy, and Trish; Martha Siekman Cancer Center; and Theda Clark Medical Center, especially Dr. Phillips for all their care and compassion for Donald and his family.

    Robin Arthur William Hopfensperger, age 57, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on January 4, 1958 in Long Beach, California, to Raymond and Carol (Howe) Hopfensperger. On May 26, 1979, Robin married Susan Pellegrini at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. This began his passion for airplanes. Robin loved his job as an aircraft maintenance supervisor at Air Wisconsin, and achieved his goal in aviation when he was hired on with United Airlines. He was a leader with the Girl and Boy Scouts, and the National Guard Cadet Program. A few of Robin's hobbies were traveling and woodworking, especially making the rocking horses for his precious grandchildren. His family meant the world to him. He loved being with family, and he was an awesome cook, husband, dad, and papa. Robin truly loved his grandchildren, and looked forward to the time spent with them.
    Robin is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sue Hopfensperger; children Amy (Corey) Lahvic, Chris (Mary) Hopfensperger, and Michael Hopfensperger; grandchildren Cameron and Carter Lahvic, Azaria Hopfensperger; his mother Carol Hopfensperger; and siblings Larry, Brian (Janet), and Sherry Hopfensperger. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Robin was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Raymond, and a nephew Adam Hopfensperger.
    The memorial service for Robin will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at ST. JOHN'S CENTER FOR INNER PEACE, 1513 Pinewood Lane in New London. Fr. Paul Feider will be officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service.     Adam Hopfensperger, 22, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008. He was born to Lory Schabo and Brian Hopfensperger on Sept. 8, 1985. Adam was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Appleton and graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 2004. He worked at Werner Electric. Adam loved to ride his motorcycle and loved anything to do with cars. He loved techno music and playing X-box and he would randomly send off-the-wall text messages quoting lines from movies. He loved the outdoors and water, including fishing, swimming and camping. He enjoyed discing at Plamann Park and most importantly, hanging out with his friends. Adam would go out of his way to help anyone and he had a gift for making someone who was sad, happy.
    Adam is survived by his parents, Lory (Jay) Schabo and Brian (Janet) Hopfensperger; his brothers and sister, Erik (fiancee, Barbara Luebke) Hopfensperger, Amber Schabo and Austin Hopfensperger; grandparents, Carol Hopfensperger, Norman and Elaine Schabo and Norman and Dorothy Labitzky. Adam is further survived by many other relatives and special friends.
    He was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard and Lois Kennedy and Raymond Hopfensperger Jr.
    Services for Adam will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Appleton, with the Rev. Kenneth Frey and the Rev. Leon Ehlert officiating. Visitation for Adam will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
    A memorial fund is being established in Adam's name.
