    Obituary:
At an early hour on Thursday morning, March 15, 1928, Mathias Propson died at the home of his son, John, in Kloten, town of Stockbridge at the advanced age of 87 years. News of his death caused deep sorrow among relatives and neighbors, by whom she was loved and respected. His illness was only of a week's duration.
The deceased was born in Rittersdorf, Germany, Oct. 6th, 1840 and in 1873 came to America locating in Chicago where he was married to Barbara Vien in 1874. The following year they located at Lomira, Dodge County, where he followed farming. In 1878 he moved to Calumet County and purchased the farm on which he lived until death claimed him. In 1920 he turned the homestead over to his son, John, with whom he made his home. His wife died thirty-one years ago.
Mr. Propson was an honest, upright man, whose word could always be depended upon. He drew to him friends in large numbers and his home was always open to welcome them. He was a staunch member of the Catholic Church and one who did his full share in building and maintaining St. Elizabeth's church of which he was a regular attendant.
He is survived by six sons, Peter of Flint, Mich., August of Chilton town, Math of Fond du Lac, Albert of New Holstein, John on the homestead, Joseph of Stockbridge town, two daughters, Mrs. John Gilles of Stockbridge and Mrs. Jacob Veit of Chilton town and thirty-five grandchildren.

    Obituary:
    W. "Jerry" Propson, 57, Chilton, passed away Mar. 9, 2012, at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. Jerry was born Apr. 24, 1954, son of Theodore and Viola (Goeser) Propson. He was united in marriage to Debra Kobussen on June 22, 1974, and was the proud father of their son, Adam. He graduated from Chilton High School in 1972, the American Institute of Banking 1976, the Midwest Banking Institute 1978, Wisconsin Bankers Association General Banking and Commercial Lending Schools in 1987 and 1988. Jerry loved the City of Chilton and all of it's people. This was where Jerry made his banking career for over 39 years. His banking expertise helped countless individuals in the area achieve their goals and their dreams; he continually sought perfection and his high standards were a blessing to those who came to him for their lending needs.
Jerry was very involved in community and professional associations. He had served as the president of the Fox Cities Chapter of the American Institute of Banking from 1982 until 1983. He was a member of the Chilton Fire Department, Chilton Optimists, Chilton Chamber of Commerce, Chilton United Fund and was a founding member of the Chilton Lions Club. Jerry served as Chairman of the Calumet County Salvation Army Service Extension Unit for over 20 years. His dedication to his community made him the recipient of the Salvation Army Service Extension Volunteer of the Year Award in 2000. Jerry also served on the board of the Chilton Area Development Authority and the RDA loan committee. If it was warm enough and the weather fair enough, Jerry could be found playing a round of golf at Hickory Hills in his free time. He also served as the treasurer of their Thursday Men's Club for over 20 years. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and sturgeon spearing. Jerry had a passion for gourmet cooking and became addicted to everything Food Network; there wasn't a recipe too difficult on their network or website that he wouldn't successfully make. Jerry was a good friend to all he met and enjoyed every moment of conversation he had. He was passionate about his worldviews, and if you asked him, he found himself to be right very frequently.
Above all other things, Jerry loved spending time with his family. His love was shown in his life and in his actions, whether he was preparing the next prank to pull on Debbie, talking highly of his son and favorite daughter-in-law, or playing pirates with his grandsons. Jerry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie; his son, Adam (Melissa) Propson; and his grandsons, Connor and Carter, all of Chilton. He is also survived by his mother, Viola, Marquette, Mich., sisters, Diane (Dave) Giddens, Marquette, Mich., Patti (Jim) McCoy, Hilbert; his brother, Ken (Peggy) Propson, Sherwood; sisters-in-law, Kathi (Bill) Hoff, Chilton; Penny Scot, DePere; and Vicki Kobussen, New Holstein. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Ted; a brother-in-law, Mike Kobussen; and his mother-in-law, Nancie VanGrinsven. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 15, 2012, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 15, 2012. Memorials are appreciated in the name of G.W. "Jerry" Propson.

    Obituary:
    Hilbert - Anthony (Tony) Thiel
Tony Thiel, 44, of Stockbridge, passed away in his sleep Saturday March 10, 2018, at Aurora BayCare hospital in Green Bay, after a four-year struggle with cancer.
Tony did not let his struggle define him, and he had the better of the cancer most of the time. He will be remembered for sharing his love for the outdoors with anybody who could keep up. On a motorcycle, in a boat, on the ice, or walking the land, Tony loved fishing, hunting, sturgeon spearing, scouting for deer, turkey, and bear, searching out mushrooms and asparagus, and finding grapes and berries for winemaking. He mastered the "dead-finger" fishing technique, smoking sturgeon, making jerky, barbecuing for family gatherings, scaring his nieces, playing the scarecrow and other characters, and singing karaoke. He was a proud dad and husband who did quality work, was a good teacher, and would lend a hand wherever needed.
Tony graduated from Hilbert High School and the Fox Valley Tech aviation program, and he served his country in the Air Force. He put his skills to use as a race car crew chief and inspector, and professionally as a maintenance mechanic and aircraft service center coordinator. He was previously employed at Tecumseh in New Holstein and Gulfstream Aerospace in Appleton.
Tony is survived by his wife of 10 years Amy (Kasten) Thiel, and by his daughter Amelia Thiel. Tony is also survived by his father Jim (James) Thiel, Hilbert; and four brothers and six sisters: Joe (Mary) Thiel, Oshkosh; Frank (Faith) Thiel, Wayside; Terry Thomas, Green Bay; Sandy (Curtis) Dixon, Larsen; Connie (Mark) Kimmes, Whitelaw; Carl Thiel, Salem, Wis.; Judy Price, Green Bay; Jeff (Adriane) Thiel, Little Chute; Mary (Jarrod) Sandoval, Pueblo, Colorado; and Anne (Dave) Ruby, Oshkosh. He is survived by uncles and aunts: Bob, Jim, Dave, and Mary Propson, Pat Henseler, Dave Thiel, and Margie Thiel, and over 40 nieces and nephews.
Preceding Tony in death were his mother Joan (Propson) Thiel, and an infant brother Edward Thiel.
A funeral service for Tony will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 15, at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. boettcherfamilyfuneral.com
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation are appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Nawaz and the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in Green Bay for all their care and compassion.
