    New London - Funeral services for Gustave Affeldt. 83. who died at Appleton last Sunday evening, were held from the August Affeldt home town'of Maple Creek, at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, at the Maple Creek Lutheran church, the Rev. Kurt Timmel conducting the services. Interment was made in the new Maple Creek cemetery.

    Valda D. "Val" Kaddatz

    Valda, surrounded by her family, went home to the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 29, 2014. Valda was born in the Town of Deer Creek, Wisconsin on December 1, 1922, to the late George W. and Ida (Faneuf) Nitzske. She was baptized on August 19, 1928, at St. John Lutheran Church in Deer Creek, Wisconsin. She reaffirmed her faith at her confirmation on June 14, 1936. "Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5.
    On June 2, 1945, Valda was united in marriage with Roland (Bud) H. Kaddatz at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Stephensville, Wisconsin. They enjoyed 65 loving years together before Bud's passing in August 2010. Val was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
    Valda graduated from Shiocton High School in 1940, and shortly after graduation moved to Appleton where she worked until her marriage to Bud. Together they engaged in dairy farming in the Town of Bovina until their retirement 1982. At the age of 10 in 1932, during the Great Depression, Val, along with her sister Loretta, moved to Michigan to live with their aunt for one year. This experience instilled in Val a deep appreciation for "being home" and a simple lifestyle. Her simple pleasures included sewing, doing ceramics, gardening, and baking. Fiercely independent, Val continued to live on the "home farm" until suffering a stroke in July of 2014. Her diminutive stature often belied her physical and inner strength.
    The most important things in Val's life were her faith, family, and friends. During the past 69 years, she was a faithful member at St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She deeply appreciated visits from her "good" neighbors, nieces, nephews, and friends. She cherished time spent with her family, especially holidays. The legacy she leaves her family is her steadfast faith, her kind and generous spirit, a persistent work ethic, and a keen sense of humor. The void she leaves is impossible to fill, but her family rejoices that she will now be in her eternal home for her birthday and the holidays.
    Valda is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Krystal (William) Schumacher, Green Bay and Karla (Thomas) Luehring, Shiocton; five grandchildren, Scott Schumacher, Green Bay, Reverend Andrew (Nicole) Luehring, Kaukauna, Timothy Schumacher, Green Bay, Mitchell (Rachel) Luehring, LaCrosse, and Brittany(special friend Chris Burden and his daughter Sienna)Luehring, Hales Corners, and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Schumacher, Ian and Tabitha Luehring. She is further survived by sisters-in-law Elda Van Handel, Lila Kaddatz, Bernice Nitzske; brother-in-law Lyle Kaddatz; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
    In addition to her parents and her husband, Valda was preceded in death by her infant twin daughters, Lois and Louise; brothers Herbert (Helen) Nitzske, Ervin (Madeline) Nitzske, Alfred, Ralph, and Roger Nitzske; sisters Eleanor (William) Kuhnke, Loretta (Clifford) Nelson, and Bernice (Glen) Spaulding; and brothers and sisters-in-law Irene Kaddatz, Gladys (Clyde) Main, Elmer Kaddatz, Art VanHandel, and Mary Jane Kaddatz.
    The family will receive family and friends at St.Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Stephensville, on Wednesday December 3 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. with the Reverend Joel Lillo officiating. Committal services will follow at the Ellington Union Cemetery.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund in Valda's memory to support Christian education has been established.
    The family extends their sincerest thanks to the staff of Heartland Hospice and the staff of Lawrence Hall at Brewster Village, Appleton for the exceptional care and compassion extended to Valda and her family.

    Myrna N. Meyer, age 79, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, May 17, 2014. She was born to the late Walter and Georgianna Fuhrman in the Town of Maine on November 17, 1934. Myrna was a graduate of Bear Creek High School. In 1952, she married Frank J. Kielbasa, who preceded her in death in 1970. On October 21, 1978, she married Bill Meyer and they enjoyed 31 years together. Myrna was a talented seamstress, and was employed at Gunderson Cleaners for over 20 years. Myrna loved gardening, canning and her household plants. She had quite the green thumb. She loved to cook and shared her recipes (she made the best fish lunch and homemade bread around). She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and fishing. Myrna was a long-time active member at Bethany Lutheran Church in Appleton, where she grew in faith and closer to her Lord.
    Myrna is survived by her children: Jean Kielbasa of Appleton; Randy (Tammy) Kielbasa of Oshkosh; Nancy Kielbasa-Neuman of Fremont; daughter-in-law: Betty Kielbasa of Appleton; step children: David (Barb) Meyer of New London; Sue Millard and special friend Gene Guth of Weyauwega; Dale (Janice) Meyer of New London; Sherrie (Mike) Kent of Readfield; Dean (Leona) Meyer of New London; Sharon (Bill) Stuesser of New London; Del (Annette) Meyer of New London; Sara Kopitzke and special friend Greg Pope of Weyauwega; siblings: Norbert (Erica) Fuhrman of Kaukauna; Myrtle Buelow-Conn of Tucson, Arizona; brothers and sisters-in-law: Edith Dorow, Elroy Meyer, Elda Wilda, Verna Gamsky and Howie Meyer. She was also blessed with 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Michael Kielbasa; husband: William Meyer; stepdaughter: Sallie Meyer; son-in-law: Paul H. Neuman; siblings: Vi Ziemer, Dorothy Norder, Norman Fuhrman, Ralph Fuhrman, Rudy Fuhrman; brother and sister-in-law: Eddie Meyer and Rosemary Wadsworth.
    The funeral service for Myrna will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at BETHANY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 530 Parkway Blvd., Appleton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Wichmann Funeral Home (537 N. Superior St., Appleton) from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.     Donald M. Fuhrmann, 81, Appleton, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016. He was born on December 17, 1934 to the late Ervin and Rose (Stickney) Fuhrmann in Birnamwood, WI. He attended Clintonville High School and worked as a Leather Cutter for Zwicker Knitting Mills. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and feeding the birds. He always had a green thumb for gardening and was proud of his tomato plants.

    Gene Ervin Fuhrmann, age 74, of Clintonville passed away on October 24, 2017 at home.
    He was born on November 29, 1942 in Clintonville, son of the late Ervin and Rose (Stickney) Fuhrmann. He graduated from Clintonville High School, Class of 1961. Gene married Bernice (Engel) on July 20, 1968.
    He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968, spending 1 year in Korea. His lifelong interests were hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.
    Gene is survived by his wife Bernice, daughter Rachel (Kevin) Saari, two grandsons Nicholas and Jacob all of Iron Mountain, Michigan, sisters and brothers in law Betty and Carl Kosbab of Bonduel and Roger and Eileen Engel of Green Bay, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Rose (Stickney) Fuhrmann, a sister Mabel (Lavern) Stoffel, and a brother Donald (June) Fuhrmann.
    Gene's funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday October 28, 2017 at St. Paul Church in Clintonville with Rev. Titus Buelow officiating.     Robert L. Schneider, age 82, of rural Bear Creek (Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County) passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his home.
    Robert Lee Schneider was born April 14, 1934 in the Town of Maple Creek, Outagamie County, to Art and Grace (Affeldt) Schneider. He entered the U.S. Army and served proudly from 1955 - 1958. Robert was united in marriage on October 4, 1958 to Ruby Ann Mary Young at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Robert and Ruby raised their children and were lifelong residents of the Bear Creek / Deer Creek area. In 1958 he started working in the maintenance department at Hillshire Farm, New London, until his retirement in 1997. His wife preceded him in death on May 8, 2012.
    Robert was a member of St. Mary's parish where he actively volunteered as an usher and with lots of other church events. He was also a handyman who could fix just about anything. Robert helped out neighbors and relatives whenever needed. He enjoyed woodworking, deer hunting, smelt or sucker fishing, and making trips up north with his children. Robert will be remembered most as a good provider for his family; a loving husband and a proud father and grandfather.
    Survivors include four children, Gordon (Betsy) Schneider of New London, Richard (Jennine) Schneider of Brighton, CO, Bonnie Felts of New London, and Robert (Wanda) Schneider of Shiocton. There are 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. There are two sisters, Betty Preibe of New London and Joyce Taylor of Minneapolis, MN. There are two brothers, Leon (Doris) Schneider of Fond du Lac and Dennis (Ann) Schneider of Hortonville. There is one sister-in-law, Victoria Schultz of New London and one brother-in-law, Ivan (Theresa) Young of Shawano. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruby, an infant daughter, Beverly, a sister, Kathy, and two brothers, Ronnie and David.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 12th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Fr. John "Jack" Mullarkey will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of mass at the church. Military Honors will be provided at church by members of the VFW Post 664, American Legion Post 63, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 63, all of Clintonville.

    Kenneth R. Affeldt, age 63, Shiocton died on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Ken was born on March 10, 1949, in Appleton son of the late Louis and Madeline (Bessette) Affeldt. Ken proudly served his country in Vietnam. He worked very hard until his tragic fall and head injury causing his retirement.
    Ken is survived by four sons, Kenneth Jr. (Marcy), their children: Daniel, Kassandra and Dakota; Jamie; Tim, his sons, Austin and Logan; and Tony (Rachel), their children, Hailey and Mason; longtime girlfriend, Juleen Vallafskey.     Diane E. Diaz, 60, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. She was born on August 23, 1948 in New London, WI to the late William and Elinor (Nitzske) Kuhnke.
    She is survived by her brothers, Roger (Misako) Kuhnke, Ronald (Val) Kuhnke and William (Helga) Kuhnke; sisters, Rosey (Becky) Pues, Pat (John) Paulson, Betty (Bruce) Ladwig, Carol (Chet) Prellwitz and Barbara (Sam) Hernandez; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
    Diane was a member of the Moose Lodge in Zion for many years and was an avid bowler and BINGO player. She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed and always loved by her family and friends.

    Alice M. Ehrenberg, age 57, of Manawa, WI passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born in New London, WI on August 10, 1959, the daughter of the late Elvin and Dorothy (Fuhrman) Norder. On July 9, 1988, Alice married David Ehrenberg at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for 25 years. She loved watching her hummingbirds, playing card games, doing jig-saw puzzles, reading, knitting & crocheting, making hats for other cancer patients and visiting with friends and family. She loved helping others, especially making them smile and was an avid wolf lover. Most of all, she had an unconditional love for her children. Alice is survived by her husband: David Ehrenberg, Manawa; her daughters: Katrina (Gaylin Greetan II) Ehrenberg, Waupaca; Ciara (Peter Amador) Ehrenberg, Waupaca and Skyonna (Dakota Timm) Ehrenberg, Manawa; her siblings: Connie Hackett, Appleton; Dan (Paula) Norder, Bear Creek; David (Jennifer Reilly) Norder, Ripon; Wanda (Doug) Bowden, Fremont; Mary (Rick) Bowden, Neenah; Sue Williams, Appleton and Maurice (Debra) Norder, Caroline; her brother-in-law: Dan (Beverly) Ehrenberg, Waupaca; her sister-in-law: Jean (John) Tessen, Etowah, TN and her mother-in-law: Eva Ehrenberg, Waupaca. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin & Dorothy Norder, her father & mother-in-law, Clarence & Cecelia Ehrenberg, a nephew, Doug Bowden Jr and a brother-in-law, Mike Hackett. A Memorial Gathering will be on Thursday, June 1 from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Per Alice's wishes, there will be no funeral services following the memorial gathering. She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Fuhrman.

He was born on August 9, 1954, in Appleton the son of Frank J. and Myrna N (Fuhrmann) Kielbasa. Mike married Elizabeth ?Betty? Suprise in Appleton on August 25, 1979. He worked for Appleton ?Appleton Paper? for 28 years. He was a life long resident of the Appleton area. Mike enjoyed time with family, fishing, hunting Nascar, going to the cottage, gardening, canning, and smoking fish.

    A memorial service will be held at 8:00pm Thursday April 20, 2006 at Valley Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being established.
    Frank and Betty would like to thank his friends at Appleton for all their friendship, love and support, the Doctors and Nurses at Appleton Medical Center for all the care given to Mike.
