On Friday August 25, 2017 a gentle heart stopped beating. Surrounded by his family, Don was welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord.
Don was born in Green Bay on December 18, 1926 to Stephen and Rachel (DePeau) Process.
Don attended Saints Peter and Paul grade school and East High School. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and started his own business, Don's Ice Cream Shop on Webster in Allouez, where he met the love of his life, Dolores. They were married on July 2, 1951 at St. Patrick's Church.
He worked for the Green Bay Board of Education as a Building Engineer and retired in 1987 after 33 ½ years. During the years that the kids were growing up, he worked a part time job with the Green Bay Packers as a parking attendant and with the grounds crew. This afforded him the opportunity to attend all the home games including the Ice Bowl. On occasion, Coach Lombardi would stop at Don's entrance!
He enjoyed camping with his family and exploring the back roads of Wisconsin with all the kids in tow. He also enjoyed traveling with Dolores after retirement. He was a jack of all trades and could fix or build just about anything. He gave his love of music to his children and enjoyed singing and playing the harmonica. He will be greatly missed by all of us!!
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dolores "Bunky" (Courchaine), and their nine children; Christine (Billy) Kincheloe, Mark Process, both of Los Angeles; Mary (Ken) Marvel, Madison; Diane (Gary) Smits, Clintonville; Jeff (Lori) Process, Green Bay; Janet (Mark) Eastman, Green Bay; Lisa (Steve) Sauer, Ashwaubenon; Rick (Tami) Process, Sobieski; Sarah (Tim) Rudesill, Lakeville, MN.
