    Piette, Edward AugustAge 99, died Tuesday evening, December 24, 2002 at Vallhaven Care Cent er in Neenah. Edward was born on September 25, 1903 on the family fa rm in Brussels (Door County), Wisconsin; son of Charles B. and Antoinet te (Lerat) Piette. The family moved to Appleton when he was one year ol d. He attended parochial schools in Appleton, leaving after sixth gra de to work on the Rhyner farm west of Neenah. He enjoyed farming and wou ld have liked to own a farm. He joined the Navy in 1922 and served aboa rd the destroyer USS Billingsley, traveling to many ports around the world .Edward married Clara Dietrich at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton on Ju ly 12, 1928, just before the Depression began. They enjoyed 65 years toget her.Edward was a hard worker all of his life and spent most of his working yea rs at Appleton Woolen Mills (Appleton Mills) as a weaver of paper mill fel ts. He lived in Appleton until moving to Neenah to be near Clara, who w as in a nursing home after suffering a stroke. He lived in his own apartme nt at Assisi Home of Neenah until the age of 98.     Lucille "Ceil" Mader, completed her life here on earth on August 10, 2010, at the age of 96. She had been a resident of the Ridgeview Highlands Circle Senior Housing Complex in Grand Chute for 16 years. She was born October 7, 1913, in Appleton, WI, to George J. and Salina (Piette) Barrett. After Salina died early in Lucille's childhood, George married Julia Aldrich. Lucille graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy, Fond du Lac, and attended UW-Milwaukee. She married Charles C. Mader on June 20, 1935, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. They had four children, sharing 35 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 1970. Ceil was employed by Zwicker Knitting Mills, retiring as a supervisor, after 26 years. She loved to travel, enjoyed playing cards, Friday night fish fry, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and many memorable years at the cottage she and her husband built on Moshawquit Lake. One of the things she will be remembered for was her love of sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Badgers.
    Ceil is survived by her children: Julia "Judy" (James) Ebben; Georgianna "Georgie" Pankratz, Appleton; Louis (Deborah) Mader, Kansas; daughter-in-law Leann Mader, Appleton; and a dear former daughter-in-law Donna (Merrill) Mader, Kansas; three sisters-in-law: Irene Langenberg, Combined Locks; Marge Foss, Washington; Mildred Mader, Madison. She was the cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Ceil also had many personal friends, of which included her very special card playing friends, Arlene Jochman, the late Rosie Callan and the late Luella Van Ooyen and Doris Vander Velden being her longtime valued friend and also the Ridgeview Tuesday card players.
    Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charlie; her son; Charles "Chuck" "Skip" Mader, son-in-law James Pankratz, brother, Ronald Barrett; sister, Frances (Barrett) Forster; a cherished former daughter-in-law Janice (Voigt) Mader; three great-grandchildren; father- and mother-in-law: Henry and Mary Mader; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
    Lucille was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Resurrection for Lucille will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH (410 W. Lawrence St.) with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Church.
    In lieu of flowers, per Ceil's request, memorials to the American Cancer Society, MS, Spina Bifida or Diabetes are appreciated. A special thanks to her longtime physician, Dr. John Elisberg, Deacon CF, the Heartland Hospice team, Alma, Sam, Sister Ruth and a hospice volunteer friend Jean Mauthe. Also another special thanks to The Island Shores staff for their compassion and care for our mother.

    Dorothy A. Bobb, 95, Neenah, died peacefully Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at The Bridges, Appleton. She was born on January 2, 1920, in Appleton, daughter of George and Adele (Poquette) Piette. Dorothy was united in marriage to Elmer Bobb on May 17, 1941. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2001.
    Family was always foremost in Dorothy's life. She also enjoyed tap dancing and music; especially singing.
    Dorothy is survived by 2 daughters: Christine (Ed) Rubbert, Appleton and Wendy (Jim) Kraus, Menasha; 2 sons: Ken (Betty) Bobb, Branch and Larry (Lucy) Bobb, Knoxville, TN; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Irene (Bob) Krieg, Neenah and Celene (Jim) Stilp, Winchester; many other relatives and friends.
    Dorothy was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Robert Piette Caron and Clayton (Rose) Caron; 2 sisters: Isabelle (Ken) Springborn and Joanne (Burt) Post.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with John McFadden officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made for Alzheimer's research.

    Age 63, entered Eternal Life unexpectedly on August 26, 2001, at Appleton Medical Center. Chuck was born on July
    19, 1938, in Appleton to Lucille Barrett Mader and the late Charles C. Mader, Sr. He served his country in the United
    States Navy. Chuck married Leann Kohl in 1988. He was a salesman for Factory Motor Parts, Appleton, and spent his
    entire career in the automotive industry. Chuck began at Mader's Service Station and was later employed at
    Automotive Supply. He loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and camper. Chuck spent many
    weeks and weekends traveling and camping in his motorhome, with a particular fondness for Colorado and Montana.
    Survivors include his wife, Leann; his mother; his daughters, Susan Michael Nugent, Appleton, and Jennifer, at home;
    his sons Dennis Diana, Waukesha, and Michael, Chilton; his grandchildren, Joanna, Marissa, Andrea, Peter and Ryan;
    his sisters, Judy Jim Ebben, Appleton, and Georgianna Jim Pankratz, Appleton; and his brother Louis Deb, Shawnee,
    Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and his former wife Janice, mother of three of his children. The Funeral
    Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2001, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West
    Pine Street, Appleton, with Rev. John P. Bergstadt officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.
