    Obituary:
    Evelyn McGinnis, 96, Kaukauna, formerly of Freedom, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. She was born Oct. 8, 1914, in Appleton, daughter of Henry and Mary (Nussbaum) Roehl. Evelyn married Robert J. McGinnis on Jan. 22, 1935, and he preceded her in death July 12, 1991.
    Mrs. McGinnis was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, and a former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. Evelyn and her husband farmed for many years in Freedom. She enjoyed embroidery, cross-stitching, crossword puzzles and playing cards.
    Evelyn is survived by her children, Patricia (Stewart) Arnold, Appleton; Paul D. McGinnis, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mike (Ruth) McGinnis, Fond du Lac; a sister-in-law, Diane McGinnis, Appleton; 11 grandchildren, Aaron (Allison) McGinnis, Adam (Amy) McGinnis, Sarah (Christian) Pritle, Terry (Pamela) Arnold, Cheryl Magnuson, Jay (Linda) Arnold, Sandra Herwig, Megan (Dustin) Parker, Bethany (John) Hellmann, Nicole Davis, Amy McGinnis; 15 great-grandchildren, Aiden McGinnis, Caleb McGinnis, Quinn McGinnis, Cash Pritle, Kennedy Hellmann, Peyton Hellmann, Carter Davis, Ashley (Eric) Holdorf, Devin Magnuson, Trevor Magnuson, Tyler Arnold, Marrisa Arnold, Jacquelyn Arnold, Michelle Herwig, Danielle Herwig; one great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Magnuson; one great-great-grandson on the way; a sister-in-law, Helen Roehl, Appleton; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles; grandson, Nicholas Arnold; one brother, six sisters, five brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. James Hablewitz officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
    Evelyn's family wishes to thank St. Paul Villa and staff along with St. Paul Hospice for their loving care and compassion.

    Obituary:
    Age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and children at Appleton Medical Center on Wednesday, June 4, 2008. He was born on April 16, 1935 in Appleton, son of Robert and Evelyn (Roehl) McGinnis. He was united in marriage to Diane (Dumke) McGinnis on April 26, 1974. They enjoyed 34 years of marriage together. He worked at G.E. rewinding motors until his retirement in 1997. Chuck proudly served in the Army in France and Germany. He was called our "Miracle Man" surviving many medical problems. He loved playing and watching sports, especially baseball and watching his children play. In later years, he watched and gave advice to neighborhood kids and family. He enjoyed going to breakfast monthly with his Freedom friends on Thursdays, and his G.E. friends on Mondays.
    Chuck is survived by his wife, Diane; and three children and their spouses: Aaron (Allison) McGinnis, Appleton, Adam (Amy) McGinnis, Appleton, Sarah (Christian) Pirtle, Madison; three grandchildren: Kaleb and Quinn McGinnis and Cash Pirtle (born on Papa's birthday, April 16, 2008); his mother Evelyn McGinnis, Little Chute; sister Pat (Stewart) Arnold, Appleton; brothers: Mike (Ruth) McGinnis, Fond du Lac, Paul (Kay) McGinnis, Utah. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Rachel (Tubbs) Dumke; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his "special" friends, Rick, Sue, Jon, and Dan Gulbransen. He was preceded in death by his father Robert McGinnis, father-in-law Arthur Dumke, and sister-in-law Betty Schubbe.
    Funeral mass for Chuck will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (1810 North McDonald Street) with Father Gerald Falk officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    The family gives our special thanks to the ICU staff at the Appleton Medical Center for your loving care.
    I will miss you with all my heart, be sure to listen for my jokes, remember I've got a million of them.

    Arnold, Nicholas J.Nicholas J. Arnold, 21, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon as the resu lt of a motorcycle accident. He was born April 20, 1985, to Terry L. and P amela R. (Schumacher) Arnold, in Milwaukee and had been an Appleton reside nt all of his life. Nick graduated from Appleton High School - West in 200 3, attended U.W. Fox Valley and was currently attending Marian Colleg e. He was employed at Curwood Inc., New London. Nick enjoyed fishing, hunt ing, rock climbing, riding his motorcycle and was preparing to run his fir st half marathon. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and was a ttending St. Edwards Catholic Church, Mackville.He is survived by his parents, Terry L. and Pamela R.
