    Merlian Cletus J. Bero, 80, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010. He was born April 5, 1930 to the late Charles and Florence (Martell) Bero in Green Bay. Cletus served his country in the United States Navy. On October 10, 1953, he married Patricia Scheffen. He was employed at Fort Howard Paper Company in the carpentry shop. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #801. Cletus enjoyed the outdoors. He taught hunter safety for 20 years and most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Patricia; eight children, Theresa (Paul) Christman; Barbara (Albert) Lankford; Diane (William) Schauf; Nancy (David) Baeten; Ronald (Sue) Bero; Daniel Bero; Mary (Timothy) Schroeder; and Eric Bero; twelve grandchildren, Jesse, Lindsey, Nicole, Justin, Christopher, Aaron, Jeremiah, Misty, Shane, Mathew, Joshua and Nicholas; twelve great-grandchildren; five brothers, Vernon Bero, Jerry (Jan) Bero, Bill (Marge) Bero, Butch (Sue) Bero and Jim (Mitzi) Bero; two sisters, Shirley, (Charles) Drace and Donna Van Egeren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Gore and three brothers, Ken, Wayne and Charles. Friends may call Monday, December 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a parish wake service will take place at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida Street, where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John J. Becker presiding. Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cletuss name. The family would like to thank the staffs of Southern Care Hospice and Harmony House for all of the special care given.

    Daniel "Dan" "Curly" Roy Bero, 54, Green Bay, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was born on December 8, 1962, in Green Bay to Merlin "Cletus" and Patricia (Scheffen) Bero.
    Dan enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and tinkering with electronics.
    Dan is survived by his mother, Patricia Bero; his siblings and their spouses, Theresa (Paul) Christman, Barbara (Al) Lankford, Diane (Bill) Schauf, Nancy (Dave) Baeten, Ron (Sue) Bero, Mary Jo (Tim) Schroeder, Eric Bero (special friend, Liane Lentz); as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin "Cletus" Bero; and a nephew, Jerimiah Baeten.
    Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Michael Dabeck officiating. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

    Baeten, Jeremiah Michael
    Jeremiah Michael Baeten, 32, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at home after a four year battle with brain cancer. Jeremiah was a man of integrity, who believed in leaving the world a better place. Each day he strived to make a difference in the lives of others, even if it was just by sharing a smile. Jeremiah was born to Nancy Bero who instilled honesty, kindness, hard work, and the ability to do anything he set his mind to. He was later adopted by the most wonderful father David Baeten who was his best friend and role model. Jeremiah was a devoted husband who deeply loved Amy for the past 13 years.
    He had a love for animals, especially their boxer. Jeremiah would spend hours patiently training and playing with Tucker. He was a driven young professional who enjoyed the challenges and customer satisfaction that work brought to his life. Jeremiah had a gift to encourage, inspire, and help others laugh, even at the toughest times. Family and friends will remember Jeremiah most for his sense of humor, compassion, positive attitude, intellect, spirituality, wisdom, passion to help others, and his adorable SMILE.
    Jeremiah is survived by his wife, Amy (Dugenske) Baeten; parents, David and Nancy (Bero) Baeten; maternal grandmother, Patricia Bero; maternal aunts and uncles, Terry and Paul Christman, Barbara and Al Lankford, Diane and Bill Schauf, Ron and Sue Bero, Daniel Bero, MaryJo and Tim Schroeder, and Eric Bero; paternal aunts and uncles, Earl and Ginnie Baeten, Mary and Mike Mollon, Anna and Art Fisher, and Rosie Burns; and several close cousins.
    Jeremiah was preceded in death by his beloved and inspirational maternal great-grandmother, Genevieve Scheffen; maternal great-grandfather, Irvin Scheffen; maternal grandfather, Cletus Bero; and paternal grandfather and grandmother, Franchise and Rose Baeten.
    Memorial visitation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1954 County Road U, Green Bay from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. A celebration will immediately follow the funeral.
