    Obituary:
    Kenneth "Ken" R. Hockers, 31, Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly on Aug. 24, 2011. He was born on June 10, 1980, in Green Bay, to Tom and Becky (Rich) Hockers. Ken attended NWTC and obtained his G.E.D., graduating with high honors. He continued his education there studying Robotic Engineering.
    He was currently employed at Alive and Kicking Crust and previously worked at the Green Bay Country Club as a cook. Ken enjoyed cooking and playing and recording music. He was always staying active, whether it was martial arts, working out or playing basketball with friends. Ken recently began going to Bible Study at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was a very kind and helpful person and deeply cared for others. Ken will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.
    He is survived by his parents, Tom and Becky Hockers; sister, Cory Hockers; niece, Anna; paternal grandmother, Agatha Hockers; aunts and uncles, Tammy (Tim) Begley, Ken (Cathy) Hockers, Ann (Bill) Jaeger, Joan (John) Leick, Rose (Jim) Smits, Peggy Hockers (special friend, Lowell), Bonnie (Dave) Defnet and Jeff (Patti) Hockers; and many cousins, relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Lillian Rich; and paternal grandfather, Alfred Hockers.
    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. Memorial service 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jon Zabell officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
