Obituary:
Kaukauna - Carol A. (Rogers) Wurdinger, age 98, a lifelong resident of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on June 9, 2018.
Carol was born on July 22, 1919, daughter of the late Louis and Clara (Gast) Rogers. She was a 1937 graduate of Kaukauna High School, and married her high school sweetheart Ralph "Lowie" Wurdinger, on October 4, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna, where she had been a member her entire life. Carol was an avid volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church and School. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and sang for many weddings and funerals throughout the valley, and was a member of Trinity's choir for over seventy years (2008). She was also a member of the Women's Aid for seventy-one years and served as vice president, secretary, and treasurer at various times. Carol worked at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for seven years during Ralph's deployment in World War II, and upon his return, she became a dedicated stay-at-home mom to their two daughters, Donna and Kay. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for twenty-seven years. Carol had a real passion for gardening and taking care of her flowers, supporting the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers, and visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - right until her death.
Carol is survived by two daughters: Donna (Don) Mitchell of Appleton and Kay (Dennis) Riemer of Kaukauna. Her grandchildren are Todd (Robin) Mitchell of Greenville, Terry (Andrea) Mitchell of Appleton, Shelli (Jason) Fox of Kaukauna, Shawn Riemer of Neenah, Traci (James) Laatsch of Kaukauna, and Toni (Bradley) Laufenberg of Shiocton. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Nolan and Lydia Mrotek, Haley and Hannah Laatsch, Carter and Hayden Mitchell, Landon and Bentley Fox, and Asher and Callen Laufenberg. She is also survived by her godchildren: Lynne (Ben) Collins of Kaukauna and Faith (Steve) O'neal of West Palm Beach, Florida; a sister-in-law: Clarice Wurdinger, and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Wurdinger, her parents Louis and Clara Rogers, brothers Norman (Louise) Rogers, Sherman (Virginia) Rogers, and Clifford (Dorothy) Rogers.
The Christian Funeral Service for Carol will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna, with Rev. David Fleischmann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank the staff at Atrium Acute Care of Little Chute for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Carol and her family during this challenging time. A special thank you to their Activities Director and Carol's friend, Sara, for all the fun activities and discussions she shared with Carol during her stay at Atrium.

Obituary:
Clifford "Skeeter" Rogers, 78, Kaukauna, passed away in the early morning of Saturday, March 28, 2015 at his home. He was born on February 13, 1937, son of the late Clifford A. and Dorthea (Koehn) Rogers. Skeeter lived in Kaukauna all of his life. After graduating high school he attended UW-Oshkosh, where he met his loving wife of almost 58 years, Shirley Bresler. They were married in Oshkosh on May 9, 1958. Together they raised five children.
Skeeter worked at Thilmany for 42 years and was able to enjoy 16 years of retirement He was well known for his sense of humor. When he could no longer get in and out of a boat, he gave up fishing, something he and his brothers enjoyed doing at the family cottage on Lake Poygan. He spent many vacations with his family at cottages and lakes up north. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching the Badgers, playing cards, especially sheepshead and cribbage and was an avid reader. In his later years, he enjoyed relaxing on the patio while watching the birds, turkeys, deer and other wildlife.
Skeeter is survived by his wife, Shirley; five children, Ron (DeAnna) Rogers of Kaukauna, WI, Rick (Kathi) Rogers of Plymouth, MN, Robyn (Matt) Jackson of Valrico, FL, Holly (Kevin) Williams of Portage, WI and Sandra (Kevan) Kokkonen of Shiocton, WI; 15 grandchildren, Stephen, Paul, Kristy, Elizabeth, Breanna, Austin, Halie, Madison, Skeeter, Andie, Caitlin, Michaela, Barbara, Victoria and Kyle; 8 great grandchildren, Amanda, Ethan, Sabestian, Sierra, DeAndre, Xavier, Travon and Nayoni; a brother, John (Gina) Rogers; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Rev. Michael (Rogene) Rogers.

Rev. Dr. Michael Rogers, 67, of Bemidji, MN, died Tues., Apr. 26, 2011, at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in Bemidji.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Fri., Apr. 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bemidji with Rev. Matthew Wurm officiating. Interment was Mon., May 2, 2011, in St. Paul cemetery, Arlington, NE. Michael Louis Rogers was born June 19, 1943, the youngest of three sons of Clifford August and Dorothea (Koehn) Rogers at Appleton, WI. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, WI, and attended the parish school. Trinity Lutheran Elementary School, both graduating and being confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in May 1957. He graduated from Kaukauna Public High School in May 1961. He received his doctorate from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN, on May 17, 1996. He did his undergraduate work at Concordia Teachers College of River Forest, IL, graduating with a BA in 1965. He taught three years and served as principal of Zion Lutheran School in Colby, WI, 1965-1968. He was the vicar in Barrington, IL, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and graduated from the seminary in 1972 with a B.D. M. Divinity. He served various congregations since 1972, some of which include: St. John's Lutheran Church, Ord, NE; Grace Lutheran Church at Middletown, CT, (1977-1978); Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, WI, until 1984; Trinity Lutheran Church and School of Wisconsin Dells, WI, until 1989 and St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Arlington, NE, until his retirement in August 2000.
On June 26, 1977, he married Rogene Hornickel in Ord, NE. In retirement, he did guest preaching and served as Vacancy Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church at Bagley, MN, and First Ev. Lutheran Church at Grand Rapids, MI. Throughout these many years of ministry for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Dr. Rogers served as Zone Counselor of both the L.L.L. and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League; South Wisconsin District Board of Stewardship; Volunteer Pastors in Probation of Valley County, NE; Region 6 Representative on the Nebraska Drug and Alcohol Commission of Douglas, Dodge, Washington and Sarpy Counties. He also served two full terms on the Nebraska Association of Congregations for Concordia College in Seward, NE.
Survivors include his wife, Rogene; two sons, Luke and Ethan, all of Bemidji, MN; two brothers, Clifford (Shirley) Rogers of Wisconsin and John (Gina) Rogers of Tennessee; and his mother-in-law, Velma Hornickel of Ord.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
