Obituary:
Lorraine M. (Schwalbach) Griesbach, Appleton, age 79, passed away at Grand Horizons in Appleton on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. She was born in Appleton on May 3, 1930, the daughter of the late George P. and Mabel L. (Vanderwegen) Schwalbach. On June 16, 1949, she married her husband of 60 years, Roman Griesbach. Lorraine was a faithful member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was blessed with several talents including: playing organ, crocheting and needle work, known as "fancy work" to Lorraine. Even though Lorraine suffered many illnesses throughout her life, she will be remembered for her positive attitude and her strong faith in God.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Roman; son, Daniel (Cynthia) Griesbach, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Jacob (Catherine) Griesbach, Mara Deering and Amanda (Jon) Kolman; great-grandchild, Rowan Deering; sisters: Marlene Ebben and Gail (Cletus) Tennessen; nephew, Ronald Ebben; and niece, Krista (Christopher) Krenz.
The Funeral Mass will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 E. Lourdes Dr., Appleton, with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.
The Family extends a special thank you to the staffs at Grand Horizons and Heartland Hospice. Their exceptional and compassionate care is greatly appreciated.
