    Obituary:
    Marie Joann Haen, 98 of Appleton died Thursday July 10, 2014. She was born November 14, 1915 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Rudolph and Elizabeth (Oppman) Rammer. Marie married Henry Haen on June 5, 1935. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1981.
    Marie was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Appleton, where she volunteered her time and talent to many causes, such as making quilts for the homeless. She volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospital, knitting baby caps. Marie loved playing cards, and was an avid golfing fan, whether it was playing in her younger years, or just watching the golf network. Marie loved to travel, and took many wonderful trips around the United States and to other countries, visiting in Europe, Egypt, Germany, or just traveling to Florida. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her family, from cooking to just being there when she was needed, her family could always count on her.
    Marie is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bull, Madison, and Karen Ruff, Appleton; two grandsons, Joseph (Julie) Sonkowsky, Oshkosh, and Brian (Lora) Bull, Waukesha; a sister, Germaine Dart, Lakewood, WA; her God daughter, Sr. Janelle Athorp, Springfield, Il; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by four sisters, Rita Boyer, Elaine Rammer, Elsie Mersberger, and Laverne Biwan; and two brothers, Alfred and Elroy Rammer.
    Mass of Christian burial for Marie will be 11:00 AM on Monday July 14, 2014 at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W Pine St, Appleton, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
