    Eloisa "Becky" Van Eperen, age 86, of Kaukauna, went into the arms of the Heavenly Father, surrounded by her loving family, at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Becky was born on July 5, 1930, in Milwaukee, to the late Hirene T. and Maria (Zunica) Mendez. Throughout her life, Becky was sustained and enriched by her faith. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and her deep and abiding faith were an inspiration for all that knew her. Her family was extremely important to her and she was always there for them. The time they spent together will be forever treasured. She was an avid Packer fan and could always be seen wearing her green and gold Packer colors. Becky enjoyed Bingo, mostly so that she could treat her grandchildren with the prizes. She also was well known for her enjoyment of singing.
    Becky is survived by her children, Joanmarie "Toby" Berken, Jean Berkers, Jackie (Abel) Rodriguez, Julie (Richard) Merritt, Jim (Laura) Van Eperen, Jennifer (Jason) Smith; her grandchildren, who she truly loved: Justin Van Eperen, Stacy (Andy) Kurland, Elmer (Jacqueline) Keberlein, Nicole Keberlein, Marcus (Sabrina Buehler) Keberlein, Jackie Strunc, and Holly Strunc, Annette (Harlowe) Rowe, Corey (Nicci) Berkers, Adam Rodriguez, Aaron (Jodi) Rodriguez and Angeline Rodriguez, Eric Merritt, Madeleine (Brian Lemke) Merritt, James and Thomas Van Eperen, Alexandria (Mitch Schroeder) Heimermann, Andrea Heimmermann and Blake Heimmermann; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Nivia, Duncan, Sadie and Shelby, Harlowe and Marlee, Calleigh, Brevon, Landon and Peyton; and her brother, Robert (Mary) Mendez. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Faith Mendez, and her special friend, Albert Van Lith, and lifelong friends, Anna & Greg Parker, and many other in-laws, other relatives and friends. Becky was preceded in death by her son, Joseph, her siblings, Caroline Mendez and Eloisa Mendez, Alfonso Mendez, Angeline (John) Wall, Ralph Mendez, and her former husband Joseph Van Eperen. She was further preceded in death by many in-laws, other relatives and friends.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at ST. PAUL HOME CHAPEL, 316 East 14th Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, on Friday (Today) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the chapel at St. Paul Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff and friends at St. Paul Home for their gentile and compassionate care.     Joseph Marcus Van Eperen, 61, went to the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 17, 2014 surrounded by his family at Fox River Nursing Home.
    Joe was born on August 6, 1953 to Joseph and Eloisa (Mendez) Van Eperen in Appleton. He was an avid fisherman and loved nature especially the fall colors. He was a huge Packer fan, and he could always be seen wearing his green and gold Packers colors and enjoyed scratch off tickets. Most important to him was his family and he was always there for them, and the times they spent together will be forever treasured. Joe was a member of Holy Cross Parish and his deep and abiding faith were an inspiration to his family.
    Joe is survived by his son Justin, who was the light of his life, his mother Eloisa Van Eperen, sisters; Joanmarie "Toby" Berken, Jean Berkers, Jacqueline (Abel) Rodriguez, Julie (Richard) Merritt, Jennifer (Jason) Smith, brother, James (Laura) Van Eperen. He is further survived by his favorite people, who he truly loved, his many nieces and nephews; Annette (Harlow) Rowe, Eric (Candace) Merritt, Adam Rodriguez, Elmer (Jacqueline) Keberlein III, Nicole Keberlein, Marcus Keberlein, Aaron (Jodi) Rodriguez, Corey (Nicci) Berkers, Angeline Rodriguez, Jacqueline Strunc, Hollyann Strunc, Alex Heimmermann, Madeleine Merritt, Andrea Heimmermann, Blake Heimmermann, James Van Eperen, Thomas Van Eperen, great nieces and nephews, Calleigh, Brevon, Landon, Peyton Merritt, Harlowe Rowe, Duncan Keberlein, and close friends; Elmer Keberlein II and Casey Arts and his many buddies at The Pub and Bob's Inn.     The funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna with Fr Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.     Appleton - On Sunday, February 11, 2018, Eric J. Merritt was called home by his Lord and Savior after continued complications with his health. Waiting for him at the heavenly gates was his beloved grandmother. Eric was born in Appleton on July 20, 1978, son of Richard and Julie (Van Eperen) Merritt. He was a graduate of the Weyauwega-Fremont High School's class of 1996.
    Eric cherished every moment with his precious children, teaching them God's Word, through his thoughts, words, and actions. He had a kind and beautiful soul.
    Each relationship Eric shared was unique and special, and everything he did for others was done with purpose and meaning. Eric had an unwavering bond with his mother, father, and sister, and he devoted his life to his babies. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his infectious smile, and his many unique collections.
    Survivors include his parents: Julie and Richard Merritt; four loving children: Calleigh, Brevon, Landon, and Peyton; his sister: Madeleine (fiancé Brian Lemke) Merritt and their son Tobias; three brothers: Shane Mata, Steven Mata, and Joseph Facundo; several aunts and uncles: Joanmarie "Toby" Berken, Jean Berkers, Jackie (Abel) Rodriguez, Jim (Laura) Van Eperen, Jenny (Jason) Smith, Robert (Denise Lapier) Merritt, Judy Merritt - Lampl, James Merritt, Curtis Merritt, and Lynn Merritt. He will also be especially missed by his many cousins who he was so close with: Justin, Elmer, Nicole, Marcus, Jackie, Hollyann, Annette, Corey, Adam, Aaron, Angeline, James, Thomas, Alex, Andi, Blake, Randee, Marcy, Audry, Leslie, Spencer, Shelby, and April, and their extended families. He also leaves behind countless good friends and several faithful and much-loved pets.
    Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph Van Eperen, Sr., Eloisa E. Van Eperen, James C. Merritt, and Sima Merritt; and an uncle: Joseph M. Van Eperen, Jr.
    The Christian Funeral Service for Eric will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, N2740 French Road in Appleton, with Rev. Tim Glende and Rev. James Fleming officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
