Obituary:
Rudolph Hidde, 76, Neenah, formerly of Iron River, Michigan, died Thursday, August 30, 2007, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. He was born April 9, 1931, in the Town of Hortonia, Outagamie County, son of Rudolph and Theresa (Reader) Hidde. Rudolph married Carol Suehring on February 23, 1963, in the Town of Grant, Shawano County. Mr. Hidde was a member of First Lutheran Church, Iron River, Michigan and a former member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clayton. Rudy was employed for 39 years at American Can Company prior to his retirement. Mr. Hidde was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the military police. Rudy enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and especially his granddaughter, Lily.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Lee (Robyn) Hidde, Brillion; daughter, Diane (Steve) Flunker, Shiocton; 3 grandchildren: Lily Hidde, Dustin and Damon Flunker; sister, Lou Collar, Hortonville; brother, Warren Hidde, King; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Gladys Wichmann, Marion; James (Rosalie) Suehring, Stevens Point; Jeanette Suehring, Wausau; Sally (Gregg) Janicek, Wausau; Patricia (Douglas) Tietz, Westerville, OH; Rhonda Suehring, Tigerton; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Hidde; a sister, Arlene (Raymond) Magolski; 3 brothers-in-law: Harvey Wichmann, Willard Collar and Jerry Suehring; a sister-in-law, Amy Hidde.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2007, at the Kessler Funeral Home, with Rev. Dale Zwieg officiating. Interment will be in the Clayton Cemetery, Clayton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. Military honors will be conducted by members of the William Verhagen American Legion Post #60, Kimberly following the service. A memorial has been established.
