Arlene was born on De cember 7, 1921, in Appleton, to the late Clarence and Annette (Ecke) Dee g. She married Joseph Coenen on February 12, 1942, in Appleton; he preced ed her in death on August 21, 1998.Survivors include her daughters: Nancy (John) Sayovitz, Marietta, Georg ia and Jan (Bob) LeRoux, Appleton; her daughter-in-law, Diane (Bruce) Coen en-Wilz, Darboy; her grandchildren: Steve Sayovitz, Mentor, Ohio; Sam Coen en, Darboy, and Emily Coenen, Darboy; her sisters-in-law, Mary Deeg, Kimbe rly, and Betty Deeg, Appleton.She was preceded in death by her son, Tim; her sister, Myrtle; and her bro thers: Art, Clarence “Nance”; and Earl.The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at S T.     Diane Kempen, age 67 of rural Weyauwega, passed away at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah on Sunday morning, August 17, 2015, following a lingering illness. Diane was born in Kaukauna on March 25, 1948, daughter of the late Earl "Honey" Deeg and Mary Deeg of Kimberly. After high school, Diane attended FVTC, but before she could graduate, Duralam hired her on as a plate maker. She worked as a waitress, then at Duralam, and later at Presto Products, but her favorite role of all was that of being a mother to her five children. Her lifelong dream was to live on the water somewhere - anywhere. She met Ken Kempen while working at Duralam, and the couple married in 1997. Two days later they bought a lake home at White Lake near Weyauwega, and she had been happy ever since. She fished every chance she got, loved her dogs, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed playing Liverpool Rummy.
    Diane is survived by her husband: Ken Kempen of Weyauwega; her mother: Mary Deeg of Kimberly; her father-in-law: Leo (Arlene) Kempen of Kaukauna; four loving children: Tammy (Tim) Fink of Appleton; Trevor (Shannon) Helms of Freedom; Andrea (Travis) Feldkamp of Kimberly; and Stacy Hill of Kimberly. There are also nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandson; a brother: David (Katie) Deeg of Kimberly; and several brothers and sisters-in-law: Diane Shaw, Mary Huebner, Jeff Kempen, Paul Kempen, Leo (Kristi) Kempen, Tim (Denise) Kempen, Tom (Sherry) Kempen, Amy (Al) Prudom, Ted (Diane) Kempen, and Katie (Michael) Meulemans. She was preceded in death by her father Earl "Honey" Deeg, her son Eric Helms, and her mother-in-law Phoebe Kempen.

    Donald E. Briggs Sr. age 78, Cameron MO. entered the gates of heaven on Friday, August 19, 2011 with his loving family by his side, at Kansas University Medical Center following a courageous, six-year battle with cancer. Donald was born on August 9, 1933, in Appleton, to the late Earl and Lillian (Deeg) Briggs. Donald shared 45 years of marriage with Alice Jane (Reinke) Briggs until his love passed July 4, 1999. He was the greatest man, husband, father and grandfather. He loved three things most ("The Big Three"), family, Green Bay Packers and golf. He was employed at Thilmany International Paper for 38 years. He was a member (and past president) of the Hortonville Commercial Club. He served as trustee on the Village of Hortonville board for 6 years, including serving as president for two years. He was honorably discharged after serving 12 years in the Army Reserves. Survivors include: his son Donald (Karen) Briggs, Jr. and their children: Jeremy (Ashley, special friend), Erick, Amanda (Travis, fianc?) and Kayla, Appleton; his daughter-in-law Marie Briggs, and her children: Rick, Daniel, Ashley and Natalie, Green Bay; two daughters: Deborah Taylor and her children: Patrick, Heather (Wayne), Mark Jr. (Emily) and Holly (Adam, special friend), St. Joseph, Missouri; Tammy Briggs (Danny, special friend) and her children: Casey Jo (Elliot) and Brett (Meghan, special friend), Cameron, Missouri; a brother Chuck (Karen) Briggs, Appleton; four sisters: Marge (Eugene) Hopfensperger, Sparta; Betty (Dick) Bloch, Kaukauna; Sharon (Bill) Longworth, Neenah; and Cindy (Gary) Femal, Downey, California; also aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice and his son Michael. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Parks; Dr. Harbison; Dr. Mirza; Dr. Goggins; Dr. Slovick; Kansas University Medical Center, Cameron Regional Medical Center, St. Elizabeth Hospital staff for their excellent care and support and to The Village in Cameron for their warm hospitality.     Kathleen "Kathy" M. Ott, (Deeg), Sherwood, age 65, died peacefully on Monday July 21, 2014 at home with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 5, 1949 in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late George and Audrey (Lamers) Deeg. On March 14, 1969 Kathy married Randy Ott. The couple resided in the Sherwood area their entire married lives. Kathy was a dedicated volunteer, a talented seamstress and a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, "seester", and a friend to "ALL". She will be sewn in our hearts forever, we love you! Kathy loved bingo and going to the grandchildren's activities. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. Kathy was a meal site manager for Meals on Wheels for over 15 years.
    Kathy is survived by her husband, Randy, Sherwood; 4 sons: Randy Jr. (Lori), Spokane, WA, Mark (Laura), Chilton, Ryon (Heather), Appleton, and Kristopher (Lori), Hilbert; 7 grandchildren: Morgan, Trevor, Taylor, Brianna, Vincent, Logan, Sophia, and baby Ott on the way; 1 "seester", Karen Van Dinter, Neenah; 3 brothers: Ron (Terri) Deeg, Georgia, Alan (Angela) Deeg, Appleton, and Dan (Terri) Deeg, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
    Mass of Christian Burial for Kathy will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St. John-Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood with Fr. Michael Betley officiating. Friends may call on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a parish prayer concluding the evening.     Eric W. Helms, age 35, of Kimberly, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, March 19, 2010. He was born on April 13, 1974; son of Mark E. Helms and Diane (Kenneth) Kempen (Deeg). Eric graduated from Kimberly High School in 1992, and was a short order cook for Cinder's restaurant for several years.
    Eric was a free spirit who enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing video games and cards with his friends and family. He was a devoted father who cherished spending time with his children. He was a kind-hearted person who people took an instant liking to. Anyone who knew Eric loved him for his kind and gentle nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
    Eric is survived by his parents, Mark Helms of Greeley, Colorado, and Diane (Kenneth) Kempen of Weyauwega; children: Emilee Wingen, Kaylee and Lylee Helms; sisters: Tammy (Gerald) Fink, Andrea (Travis) Feldkamp, Stacy (Adam) Geurts, Marisa (Chad) Atwood; brother Trevor (Shannon) Helms; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Eric is further survived by children who were close to his heart: Ashley, Skyelar and James.
    Eric is preceded in death by his grandfather Earl Deeg, and grandparents Edgar and Lucille Helms (Gerndt).
    A special thank you to Eric's closest friends who were an important part of his life through the years. Eric, nothing could prepare us for the pain we feel from losing you. We take comfort in knowing that God is waiting with open arms to bring you home to Him.
    The Funeral Liturgy for Eric will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home and again at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Eric's name.
