    Bernice "Birdie" McCormick, age 71, of Combined Locks, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015. Birdie was born to the late Frank and Helen (Loessel) Veitenhans on September 12, 1943. She married John McCormick on January 18, 1969.
    Birdie is survived by her husband of 46 years, John; her daughter Lisa ("favorite son-in-law" Eric) Ross; her sisters Mary Veitenhans and Ruth Megonigal; brother Joe (Sue) Veitenhans; brothers-in-law: Raymond (Ceil) McCormick, James (Dorothy) McCormick, Dan (Joy) McCormick; sisters-in-law: Sister Alice McCormick, Sister Pat McCormick, Judy McCormick, Joanne McCormick Mary (Dave) Rades, and Kathy (Tom) Coon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her son Joe McCormick, her siblings Rita Boyce and Robert Veitenhans, her brother-in-law James Megonigal; John's niece Lori McCormick and his nephew Craig Uitenbroek.
    Memorial services for Birdie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks with Father Andrew Kysely officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 204 E Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and again the following day at the church at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.     Birdie always enjoyed her flowers while she was alive; in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the COPD foundation in her name.
    A special thank you to the staff on the seventh floor of AMC, we will never forget your kindness; and also thank you to Birdie's brothers and sisters-in-law and their families for all of the support they had showed Birdie and her family.

    McCormick, Joseph J. “Joe”Joseph J. “Joe” McCormick, of 134 Jean Street, Combined Locks, age 32, pas sed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2005. He was born in Appleton on Ju ne 2, 1973, son of John and Bernice (Veitenhans) McCormick. He graduated f rom Kimberly High School in 1991. He went on to work at Pierce Manufacturi ng in Appleton. Joe was an avid auto enthusiast and worked on rebuilding c ars and creating hot rods. He was particularly proud of his custom Harle y. He just started and really enjoyed walleye fishing.He is survived by his parents, John and Bernice McCormick of Combined Lock s; sister, Lisa (Eric) Ross of Dallas, TX; aunts and uncles: Sister Ali ce McCormick of Racine, Raymond (Ceil) McCormick of Darboy, James (Doroth y) McCormick of Darboy, Sister Pat McCormick of Green Bay, Judy and Joan ne McCormick of Appleton, Mary (Dave) Rades of Appleton, Dan (Joy) McCormi ck of Appleton, Kathy (Tom) Coon (Joe’s Godparents) of Darboy, Mary Veiten hans of Madison, Joe (Sue) Veitenhans of Wickenburg, AZ, and Ruth Megonig al of Coatsville, PA. He is further survived by his godchild, Rachel Seid l, and numerous cousins and friends.Joe is preceded in death by his grandparents: Martin and Alice McCormic k, and Frank and Helen Veitenhans; uncle, Robert Veitenhans; aunt, Rita Bo yce; and a cousin, Lori McCormick.The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005, at S T. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Locks, with Fr. J im Lucas officiating. Friends will be received at the Jansen Fargo Funer al Home, Kimberly, on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer servi ce at 7:30 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the ti me of the service.
