    Obituary:
    Gerhardt W. "Gay" Scheibe age 89 of Black Creek entered eternal life with our dear Lord on March 10, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 28, 1925 to Arthur and Ida (Stapel) Scheibe in the Town of Freedom. He grew up on the family farm on French Road in Freedom. He attended St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. He also attended St. Peter Lutheran School. On August 30, 1947 he married the love of his life, Doris Schabo. On August 30, 2014 they celebrated 67 years of marriage. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Center. He was employed with Schabo Materials for more than 30 years. He enjoyed going on trips to Texas, Branson Missouri and anywhere else his car may take him, especially out west. He enjoyed his woodworking shop and having fun with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gerhardt lived a life of love and honor. Faith and family were always what mattered most.
    He will be sadly missed by his wife Doris; daughter Sherry Lynn (friend Jerry) Scheibe; daughter-in-law Elaine Scheibe; grandchildren: Adam (Kelly) Scheibe; Ryan (friend Destiny) Scheibe; Lucas (Erika) Scheibe; Rachael (friend John) Scheibe; great-grandchildren Hunter, Dylan, Calvin and Lily Scheibe as well as other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by: his parents; son Russell Scheibe; Doris' parents George and Martha Schabo; brother Victor (Erma) Scheibe; sister-in-law Dorothy Schabo ; brother-in-law Eugene Gerrits; two nieces.
    Friends may call at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, N3505 State Rd 47, Appleton on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral Services will be at church at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jeffrey Suhr and the Rev. Micah Martin officiating. For more information and to express condolences, please visit www.wichmannfargo.com.
    The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at ThedaCare at Home Hospice. Also, a special thank you to Dr. David Ebben and his staff and nurses for the care given to Gerhardt.

    Carol A. Geiger died Sunday, April 3, 2011. She was born July 20, 1952 to parents Victor and Erma Scheibe. She is survived by her husband, Jim Geiger, sons Rory (Rebecca) and Ryan; granddaughters Kiersten and Kennedy; step-daughters Rebecka Huggins and Ronecka Baker; brothers Lester Scheibe and Larry Scheibe; sisters Donna Klatt, Mary Grimm, Betty Runge and Sue Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents.
    A memorial service will be held July 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel located at 3131 N. Richmond Street, Appleton, WI. A memorial fund has been set up at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 North 108th Street, Omaha, NE 68164.

    Scheibe, Russell V. Our Heavenly Father answered our prayers that Russ would not suffer long with the renal cancer that was invading his body. On the evening of November 25, 2009, with his loving family by his side, Russ left this world to be with his Savior.
    Russ Scheibe, 61, was born on August 14, 1948, to Gerhardt and Doris (Schabo) Scheibe, of Appleton. Russ was a 1966 graduate of Hortonville High School. He was drafted by the Army in 1968 to serve in Vietnam. Upon honorable discharge, he went back to his passion of driving the "Big Rigs." For the last 23 years he worked for Appleton Coated. Russ was a member of the American Legion Post 0041 in Kaukauna, enjoyed NASCAR, collecting classic cars, and spending time with his family.
    In August 1973, Russ married Elaine (Ulmer) and enjoyed 36 years of togetherness.
    Russell is survived by his parents, loving wife, sons: Adam (Kelly), Greenville; Ryan (friend Jackie), Forest Junction; Lucas (Erika), Appleton; daughter, Rachael, Appleton; grandsons Hunter and Dylan; sister, Sherri (friend Jerry), in-laws: Ray (Fran) Ulmer, Barb Ulmer, Fred (Sandie) Ulmer, Bev (Gordy) Baumgart, Darlene (Mark) Griesbach and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents; George and Martha Schabo, Arthur and Ida Scheibe, in-laws, Albert and Ruth Ulmer, brother in-law Larry Ulmer and niece Shelly Rutten.
    Services for Russell will be held at Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, December 3, 2009. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Rev. Micah Martin will be officiating. A private burial will take place.
    The family wishes to extend a special Thank you to the Fox Valley Hematology/Oncology departments, the surgeons from Valley Urology Assoc., Cheryl, Crystal, Rachael and Gina from Affinity Visiting Nurses, to family and friends for prayers, calls and cards received in the past weeks, and a special thanks to Pastor Martin.
    It's nice to know you have friends that care. Remember to make the most of everyday; otherwise life passes you by so fast. Thank you all, because it does mean so much-Russ.
    Due to severe family allergies, please, in lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
