Obituary:
Joan M. (Schreiter) Engleman, age 84, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She was born on July 3, 1929 daughter of the late John W. and Mercy (Poetzl) Schreiter. On May 14, 1955, she was united in marriage to Duane Engleman, and they enjoyed 58 years together.
She was employed at the Outagamie County bank for 30 years. Joan enjoyed being with family and friends, time spent at the cottage on Lake Winnebago, fishing, camping and playing cards. She also enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and crossword puzzles. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Joan is survived by her husband, Duane; 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Debra Engleman (Bruce Nickles) and Patricia (Steven) Leist; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Lyle and Betty Engleman; 2 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John W. Schreiter and Mercy Poetzl Schreiter; her brother and sister-in-law: John R. Schreiter and Nancy (Pynenberg) Schreiter; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lester Engleman and Dora (Greb) Engleman and a nephew, Lance Engleman.
In accordance with Joan's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a prayer for Joan and her family will be most appreciated at this time.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Appleton Health Care Center and the ThedaCare Hospice for their compassionate care unto Joan and her family.
Joan's final message was "I hope to see you in another life".
Mom…you will be forever in our hearts.

Obituary:
John Schreiter, age 78, of Appleton, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008, at Parkside Care Center. He was born July 23, 1930, in Appleton, son of the late John W. and Mercy (Petzel) Schreiter. He married Nancy Lee Walton September 26, 1961, sharing 41 years together before her death on December 28, 2002. He was employed by Midtech/Repap Paper Company for 34 years and retired in 1992.
John was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and Kimberly American Legion Post #60.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Scott Patterson, Berlin, WI; Jean and Terry Winter, Chicago, IL; three grandchildren: Kelly, Stephanie and Renee Winter; a sister and brother-in-law: Joan and Duane Engleman, Appleton; two nieces: Debra and Patricia Engleman; and his mother-in-law, Genevieve Pynenberg, of Little Chute.
A private graveside service will be held.
