    Obituary:
    Janette Van Hulle, 85, Menasha, died quietly in her sleep on April 15, 2011, after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Ida and Ellis Curtiss of the Town of Maine.
    She is survived by her husband, Norman; her brother, Donald (Dorothy) Curtiss; her children, Keith (Holly) Van Hulle, Clemmons, N.C.; Gary (Lee) Van Hulle, Greenville; Linda Stephenson, Menasha; Darla (Joe) Maciejewski, Neenah; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, April 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. Visitation will be again on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at the church. Interment will take place at St. Margaret Cemetery in Neenah.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to a Leaf on the Tree of Life at the Ronald McDonald House.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Prairie Homes Assisted Living for the loving care over the past seven years.

    Obituary:
    Donald Eugene Curtiss, age 85, of Shiocton, went to his heavenly home on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Brewster Village, Appleton. He was born on October 19, 1932 in the Town of Maine, Outagamie County, son of the late Ellis and Ida (Planert) Curtiss. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On October 27, 1956, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Nitzske in Clintonville. Don worked over 30 years at Midtec Paper Corporation in Kimberly. He also farmed for many years. He was a spiritual leader of a tight knit family, woven together with love, laughter and faith. Don enjoyed woodworking, especially making his willow baskets and bird houses. He was a member of the American Legion Post 512 in Shiocton, and was a proud recipient of the Old Glory Honor Flight. He was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church, Shiocton.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy; children: Sonya (Mark) Voight, Shelley (James) Brown, Sharla (Steve) Jens, Sandra (Jim) Buman, Jay Curtiss and Stacey (Randy) Cupery; grandchildren: Chelsea (Andrew) Zahansky, Ashley (Brock) Rubens, Alisha (Matt) Wichman, Vinson Buman (special friend Kelly), Vanessa Buman, Savannah Jens, Spencer Jens and Lucy Cupery; great-granddaughters: Nora and Lena Wichman and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Francis (Ioline) Nitzske and Joy (Wayne) Mueller . He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother who died in World War II and five sisters.
    The funeral service for Don will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Shiocton with Rev. Paul Hinz officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. A visitation for Don will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    A special thank you to the The Manor staff at Brewster Village and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their wonderful care and love for Don. We will always remember the contagious and heartfelt smile he shared with everyone!
