    Eudora M. Kast, 82, of Bangor died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. She was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Township of Ridgeville, Monroe County, Wis., to Heinrich and Margariet (Naumann) Schaefer. After her mother passed away, Eudora lived with her sister, Minnie Hyatt. She grew up in the Cashton area.
    Eudora married Joseph Kast, Nov. 6, 1954, on Minnie and Glyn Hyatt's farm. They farmed in Melvina, Wilton and Bangor areas. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bangor. She enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the most unselfish, giving and caring person one would ever meet.
    Eudora is survived by her husband, Joseph of Bangor; her children, Gary Kast of La Crosse, Eleanora (Jack) Marsh of Bangor, Paul (Susan) Kast of Mindoro, Karen (fiance, Michael Abbott) Kast of Sparta, Roger (Dawn) Kast of Onalaska, Steven (Nicole) Kast of Tomah, Douglas (Dawn) Kast of West Salem, and Doris (Tony) Johnson of Mindoro; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Geier of Sparta; and many other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers and sisters, Helen Pergande, Fredrick Schaefer, Elizabeth Clemmerson, Minnie Hyatt, Frieda Hanson and Al Schaefer. Also preceding her in death were an infant brother and sister.
    Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bangor with the Rev. Roy Hefti officiating. Burial will be in Rockland Cemetery, rural Bangor.
    Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church. Online condolences may be offered at www.lanham-miller.com.
