    Coffey, Joseph J., AppletonAge 61, died peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at his home, surround ed by his family. He was born in Green Bay on September 1, 1942 to the la te Joseph and Mary (McCann) Coffey. On February 1, 1969 he married Jean Sc hnepf. Joe was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a Probati on and Parole Agent for 32 years.He will be sadly missed by his wife, Jean; daughters: Ann (Randy) Sankowsk y, Kimberly; Katherine (Dan) Ditscheit, Green Bay; brother, Daniel (Mar y) Coffey, Simpsonville, South Carolina; sister, Rose Casey, Appleton; gra ndchildren: Xana, Sydney and Lucretia, nieces, nephews, other relatives a nd friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a broth er, Vernon.The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Pi us X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St. The visitation will be Wednesd ay at the funeral home from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Thursday at the ch urch from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a vigil servi ce Wednesday at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Nichol as Cemetery in Freedom.The family would like to thank these physicians and their staff for the ir skill and compassion: Richard Johnson, Phillip Yazbak, Datun Oyedijo a nd Robert Geller. We are also grateful for the loving care shown Joe, thro ugh Affinity Hospice and St. Elizabeth Hospital, especially Rehabilitatio n, ICU, 4 South and Radiation Oncology. In lieu of flowers memorials are a ppreciated to the American Brain Tumor Association or Mother & Unborn Ba by Care.I would like to thank my children, family and many friends for their he lp and prayers that sustained me through the past ten months. Jean.Cancer is so limited, It cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It c annot corrode faith, It cannot eat away peace, It cannot destroy confidenc e, It cannot kill friendship, It cannot shut out memories, It cannot silen ce courage, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot reduce eternal life, It c annot quench the Spirit, It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.
