    Mary Jane (Liebergen) Rottier, 60, De Pere, was surrounded by her fami ly at home as she went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle wi th cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002. The daughter of the late Omer and Do ra (Hietpas) Liebergen, Mary Jane was born on Oct. 31, 1941, in Appleto n, Wis. The Liebergen family lived in Greenleaf, where Mary Jane attend ed grade school at St. Mary's Elementary School and graduated from De Pe re High School in 1959. Mary Jane married Benjamin F. Rottier on Aug. 5, 1 961, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenleaf. Ben and Mary Jane liv ed in De Pere their entire 40 years of married life together. Mary Jane w as very active at St. Boniface Church. She had worked at Country Kitch en in De Pere and was most recently employed at Schneider National for t he past 10 years. She enjoyed bowling, cribbage, and spending time with fa mily and friends.Mary Jane is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin; three sons, Gary (M ary) Rottier, De Pere; Terry (Lynne) Rottier, Ashwaubenon; Charlie (fian ce Tricia Hager) Rottier, De Pere; one daughter, Karen (Tony) Bloom, Gre en Bay; six grandchildren, Mark, Michael, Garrett, Benjamin, Abby, and Gen essa. Mary Jane is also survived by two brothers, Melvin (Carol) Lieberge n, Hollandtown, and Gordon (Bonnie) Liebergen, Greenleaf; two sisters, An na (Earl) Schmidt, Kaukauna; and Theresa (Ray) Rozmarenowski, De Pere. Ma ry Jane is further survived by Benjamin's family, three brothers, David (B onnie) Rottier, De Pere; John (Sue) Rottier, Oregon, WI.; and Greg (Joyc e) Rottier, De Pere; two sisters, MaryEllen (Dudley) Smith, De Pere; and L ois (Pat) Burns, De Pere; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.Friends and family may call on Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, from 4 to 8 p.m. at O ur Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1305 Lourdes Ave., De Pere, and on Sat urday from 8:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at church. Mass of Christian B urial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at churc h, with Fr. Conrad Kratz O.Praem officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Cal vary Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the fam ily.

    Melvin Liebergen, 71, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. Melvin was born on August 28, 1943 to Omer and Dora (Hietpas) Liebergen. On October 23, 1976 he was united in marriage to Carol Aerts at Holy Cross Catholic Church. He worked at Brillion Iron Works for over 42 years until his retirement. Melvin enjoyed fishing, playing cards, going out to eat and gambling. He also enjoyed going up north with his family and in his later years spending time with his dog Sadie. Melvin was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
    Melvin is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol, 3 children; Kim (Marvin) Winkler, Brian (Amy) Liebergen, and Jamie Liebergen, four grandchildren; Payton and Preston Winkler and Jakob and Owen Liebergen, siblings; Gordy (Bonnie) Liebergen, Theresa (Ray) Rozmarenoski, and Anna Schmidt, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws; Ben Rottier, Jane (Ron) Smith, Norma Aerts, Rose (Don) Coenen, Dennis (Mary) Aerts, Leo (Mary) Aerts, Bonnie Aerts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary Jane Rottier, and brothers-in-law Earl Schmidt, Ron Aerts and Jerry Aerts, a niece, Nicki Verbeten, and a nephew Bob Schmidt.
    The funeral liturgy for Melvin will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 4:00 PM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul Cemetery in Wrightstown. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.

    Robert A. Schmidt, Kaukauna, age 30, died Thursday November 24, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Appleton on August 11, 1981, to Earl and Ann (Liebergen) Schmidt. Bob married Jennifer Dyer on November 4, 2011, in Kiel, WI. He enjoyed fishing, racing and disk golf. Bob loved to spend time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was currently employed at Leicht Transfer.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Jennifer; mother, Ann; siblings, Kristine (David) Tadych and Greg (Amy) Schmidt; father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Kathryn Dyer Jr.; brothers-in-law, Scott (Lori), Tim, Joe (Karena), Mike (Kim) and Jason Dyer; and nieces and nephews, David, Crystal and Amanda Tadych, Sydney, Hayden and Samantha Schmidt, Ethan , Allison and Mason Dyer. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
    Bob was preceded in death by his father, Earl.
