    Linda Fuerst, Kaukauna, age 63, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born on January 27, 1952 to Paul and Lucille (Winter) Vandenberg.
    After high school, Linda worked for 34 years at Riverside Paper in Kaukauna. She then went on to complete an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. Linda enjoyed spending her time outside watching the eagles at 1,000 Islands Environment Center, butterflies and dragonflies. She also enjoyed fishing, traveling, going to the casino, reading, music and movies. In recent years, Linda enjoyed spending time with her two granddaughters.
    Linda is survived by her son, Geoff (Jenny) Fuerst; mother, Lucille Vandenberg; significant other, Bob Merrill; grandchildren, Grace and Clara Fuerst; siblings, Jean Vandenberg, Mary (Dick) Huss, Janet (Rick) LePak, Nancy (Ron) Anderson, Gary (Betty) Vandenberg, Wayne (Rhonda) Ward Vandenberg, Paula (Hank) Garner; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Vandenberg and sister, Betty Vandenberg.
    Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at CHRIST THE ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH (W6254 U.S. 10-114, Menasha) from 1 pm to the time of funeral at 3 pm. The Rev. David Vande Hey will officiate. To sign the guestbook, please visit oconnellfh.com.

    Jean Vandenberg, age 62, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015. Jean was born on February 19, 1953, in Appleton, to Paul and Lucille (Winter) Vandenberg. She graduated from Xavier High School and attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Jean was devoted to her faith and belief in God our Father. She worked for many years in the restaurant business and always enjoyed serving and helping others. Jean loved to read, go for walks and chat on the phone with family and friends. One of her greatest joys was her cat, Missy Fluger.
    Survivors include her mother, Lucille Vandenberg; her siblings, Mary (Dick) Huss, Janet (Rick) LePak, Nancy (Ron) Anderson, Gary (Betty) Vandenberg, Wayne (Rhonda) Vandenberg, Ward Vandenberg and Paula (Hank) Garner; her brother-in-law, Bob Meyer; family friends Bob Merrill and Roland Schabach; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Vandenberg; and her sisters, Betty Meyer and Linda Fuerst.
    Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, with Pastor Joel Zeiner officiating.     A sudden heart attack took our beloved Shawn from us on Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2016, at the age of 37. Shawn was born in Appleton on December 18, 1978, the son of Robert Meyer and the late Betty (Vandenberg) Meyer. On June 20, 2008, he married April Roberts at a ceremony at the Medina Wedding Chapel. Shawn received a diploma from Appleton West High School and held several different jobs. Most recently, he was working as an Uber Driver - it was the perfect job for him and gave him great satisfaction. Everyone who knew Shawn knew how gentle he was with children and with pets. Often they would bypass their own families or owners to gather around him. He seemed to speak their language. One of his loves was his 17 year-old cat, Honey, who was pretty possessive of Shawn. He also enjoyed spending time with April outdoors, hiking, camping, and taking photographs. Many will know Shawn and April from their involvement in the ADI dart league in the area.
    Shawn is survived by his wife: April Meyer of Appleton; his father: Robert Meyer of Menasha; a brother: Shannon Meyer of Menasha; and his grandmother: Lucille (Rollie) Vandenberg of Greenville. April's parents are: Leo (Susan) Roberts of Manawa; a sister: Jessica (Randy) Beckendorf of Appleton; and her grandmother: Shirley Lorge of Manawa. Shawn was also a special "uncle" to Angelina Much, Tiffany Much, Emma Smith, Chad Gruenwald, and Mackenzi Gruenwald. There are also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss him. Shawn was preceded in death by his mother: Betty Meyer; his grandfather: Paul Vandenberg; grandparents: William and Patty Meyer; two aunts: Linda Fuerst and Jean Vandenberg; and an uncle: Dick Huss.
    Funeral services for Shawn will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha, with Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. A private burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
