    Obituary:
    Alvin P. Konrath, born August 17, 1928, to Paul and Clara Konrath in Appleton, WI and passed from this life on October 6, 2015. He served as a member of the United States Air Force from January 1948 to December 1968 and retired with 20 years, 11 months and 18 days of service as a Staff Sergeant. He was stationed in Germany as a member of the American Expeditionary Forces, where he met and married his wife, Marianne, in Wiesbaden, Germany on May 29, 1954. After tours of duty at Scott AFB in Illinois, and Bitburg AFB in Germany, he moved his growing family to Lincoln AFB NE, where he served with the 90th Bombardment Wing during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In November 1965, he moved to Tinker AFB OK where, after a year tour of duty in Vietnam, he finished his USAF career. He was an active member of the VFW Post 9969, American Legion Post 170, 40/8 Voiture 1540, charter lifetime member Catholic War Veterans post 168 veterans' organizations, holding several state and national offices, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St Paul Apostle Catholic Church, Hartsdel Neighborhood Watch program and participated in the Meals on Wheels program in Del City. He was an avid bowler in his younger days and a die-hard fan of the Green Bay Packers.
    He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marianne Konrath of the home and 6 children, son, Robert Konrath and his wife, Glenda of Moore, son, Paul Konrath and his wife, Dana of Blanchard, daughter, Monica and husband, Billy Hogue of Del City, son, Kurt Konrath and wife, Kathy of Del City, daughter, Mary and her husband, John Brese of Harrah, daughter, Patricia and her husband, Stan White of Jones, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, (Eleanor Konrath, Geneva Cieslewicz, and Mary Claire VanDyck) and a brother, (Marvin Konrath and wife Elaine) and numerous nieces and nephews of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Konrath, mother, Clara (Bohler) Konrath and a sister, Sister Bernard Clare (Monica). He will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Del City, OK, with internment in Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the J.D. McCarty Cerebral Palsy Center, 2002 E. Robinson, Norman, OK 73071. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
