    Obituary:
Dorothy M. Planner, age 92, died on the 9th of June at Brewster Village in Appleton, Wisconsin.
She was born September 30, 1920 in De Pere, Wisconsin to the late Peter and Rose Van De Hey. She was one of twelve children.
Dorothy was a member and active volunteer of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton, Wisconsin. In addition to her volunteer work along with her late husband, Thomas Planner, after retirement they enjoyed golfing and the company of friends at Riverview Country Club. An avid bridge player until her death, she also loved reading, knitting and a good political discussion.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Thomas H. Planner, her parents and eleven siblings.
She is survived by her children: Anne M. Planner of Sun City Center, FL; Margaret Planner (James Curtis) of Madison, WI; William J. Planner (Bonne) of Appleton, WI; three grandchildren: Allison Carroll (Andrew) of Chandler, AZ; Katie Butman (Rye) of Chicago, IL; Elizabeth Hardy (Jesse Nicita) of Los Angeles, CA; a step- granddaughter: Sarah Curtis (Jordan Fineberg) of Minneapolis, MN; and great grandchildren William and Henry Butman, and Alex and Erik Fineberg.
Her children will remember her as a woman who started her life with little yet achieved success. She was a fiercely independent and bright woman: a "women's libber" way before her time. We feel certain she already has God's legions playing bridge and discussing politics. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 312 South State Street, Appleton. Friends may visit directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Brewster Village Manor and the nurses from Theda Clark Hospice Care, especially Susie.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to St. Vincent DePaul and Hospice Theda Care.

    Obituary:
Klein, Dawn Patricia It is with great sadness and comfort that we share this news to you; on May 11, 2017, our Mother, Dawn Klein, went home to the Lord after she suffered a brain injury from a fall on ice in February. She died with grace and dignity at St. Paul Elder Home in Kaukauna at the age of 81.
She had many passions in life that we are so proud of her for: her family and her faith. Her art and flower gardens, and of course her beloved Arabian Horses.
With her creative soul and talent, she produced some of the most beautiful art work of ours and the Arabian Horse World. Dawn was a self-taught artist who worked in Bronze Sculpture, Copper Wire Sculpture, Oil Paintings and Pastels. Her first Bronze "Spirits Grace" was chosen to top the Richard LEadley (a most respected trainer of the Arabian Horse) perpetual Memorial Trophy. Her work is in private collections throughout the United States, South America, Poland, Germany and Egypt. This is something we, as a family, were truly proud of her for.
She created gorgeous flower gardens along the rock ledges of the family home and carried that creativity into the home as well.
Although Dawn was so very passionate about her art, faith and family always came first. Dawn and her husband, Jim, raised 5 children on their 21 acre farmette just north of Stockbridge. Only once the kids were old enough did she feel she had the time to pursue her art at a higher level. And when the time came where family needed her again, that's what she did: took care of family. When her husband, Jim, was diagnosed with Huntington's disease, she cared for him for many years until he went to the Lord. And when her sons, Brett & Jeff, were also diagnosed with the same awful disease, she took care of them until she reached an age where she physically couldn't.
Her faith in God was so important to her; it helped carry her through such horrific tragedies in life that her faith only grew stronger. Her love for the Lord was never ending.
Dawn is survived by her children: Dan (Sherry) Klein of Stockbridge, Mike (Debbie) Klein of Chilton, Shari (Doug) Daun of Chilton; 7 grandchildren: Brooke, Heather, Michael, Brittany, Adam, Whitney & Eric; 4 great grandchildren: Kennedie, Audrina, Nolan & Emma; and her siblings: Dave (Gretchyn) Weisgerber, Dan (Judy) Weisgerber, Sally Weisgerber, Mary (Tim) Van Harpen & Linda Weisberber. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jim; her sons: Jeffrey & Brett; and a brother: Richard Weisgerber.
Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017.

Hello My Name is Patricia Myers. I am a daughter of Gladys and Lawrence Verhagen...both deceased.
I don't know if this will go thru or not....but am going to try. My mother, Gladys Bries Vandehey., died about 3and 1/2 years ago. She had Alzheimers pretty bad....and
evidently did not understand your letter. My sister and I found your letter later...and put it away, with other things of hers...
I found it again, recently.....and don't know if things are as they were when you sent it or not... Your date on it is March 31, 2003.
Don't know if you are still interested in the family groups, etc. or not. But.....if you are still into these things, would be happy to help in any way.. Seems as we get older,
    our heritage becomes more facinating.
    My email address is:
    Patricia.myers@worldnet.att.net
We live in Neenah, Wisconsin, and my husband and I are retired. Thank you for working on these genealogy records....
We appreciate it. Sincerely, Patricia Myers
