    Lindow, Lorna D.Lorna D. Lindow, age 89, of Clintonville, passed away Saturday, November 2 6, 2005, at the Angelus Retirement Community, Clintonville. Lorna was bo rn on November 28, 1915, in the Township of Pella, Shawano County, the dau ghter of the late Louis and Clara (Utech) Westphal. She was united in marr iage to Ora Lindow on November 7, 1934, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Churc h, Township of Pella. The couple lived in various communities in the Shawa no and Waupaca County, later residing in Clintonville. Lorna had work ed at Weilands Restaurant, Clintonville, and later worked as a dietiti an at the Clintonville Community Hospital. Ora preceded his wife in dea th on April 19, 1980. Lorna was a very devoted mother and grandmother w ho enjoyed making crafts, especially with angels and birds. She served a v olunteer, working at the LCFS Thrift Store, Shawano. She was a member of t he St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where she belonged to the Lad ies Aid and the Busy Twelve. Her friends, family and especially her grandc hildren will sadly miss her.Survivors include six sons, Lester Lindow (special friend, Mary), Hemet, C alif.; James (Darlene) Lindow, Clintonville; Jerry (Mina) Lindow, Neena h; Kenneth (Carol) Lindow, Horicon; Roger (Sandy) Lindow, New London; Robe rt (Barb) Lindow, Fort Smith, Ariz.; her daughter-in-law, Patti Lindow, Be nton, Ark.13 Grandchildren. 17 Great-Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ora; her sister, Ed naBartz; three brothers, John, Clarence and Harry Westphal and her son, Or ie, Jr. on January 19, 2000.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at t he St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. David Last offic iating and interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eberhardt-Stevens on Funeral Home, Clintonville and after 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chur ch until the time of the service.     Westphal, Herbert C.Herbert C. Westphal, 78 of Shawano, died Wednesday January 20, 2016 at Pine Manor Health Care Center, Clintonville. He was born August 19, 1937 in Shawano, son of the late Clarence and Anne (Ainsworth) Westphal. Herb married Marlene Wendt on May 11, 1963.Herb graduated from Shawano High School in 1954 and worked for BJ Mares in Bear Creek before serving his country in the U.S. Army. After finishing his service, he worked at Appleton Papers, retiring in 1999. Herb was a former member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton, and a current member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Cecil. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Herb and Marlene enjoyed traveling together and spending their winters in Florida. Herb was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He enjoyed entertaining his friends and family at their home on Shawano Lake. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always took great pride watching his grandchildren's sporting events.Herb is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene; his four children, Cheryl (Timothy) McVey, Dawn (Mark) Mahn, Cindy (Curt) Johannes, and Timothy (Jennifer) Westphal; nine grandchildren, Eric (Lauren) Forseth, Jessica Forseth, Jason (Sandy) Parmer, Maggie McVey, Samantha Mahn, Emily and Alysa Johannes, Reid and Walker Westphal; five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Brynlee, Christy, Stacy, and Jason II; two sisters, Jean Siebold, and Carol (Jim) Dillenburg; a brother Orville (Judy) Westphal; and three sisters in-law, Denie Westphal, Carol (Glenn) Westphal, and Judie Wendt. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and good friends. Herb was further preceded in death by two brothers Donnie, and Robert; two infant brothers, Allen and Harvey; sister, Mary; father and mother- in-law, Peter and Gertrude Wendt; two brothers -in-law, Richard Siebold and Lawrence Wendt; and a step-grandson, Joseph Matthew Parmer.Mass of Christian burial for H! erb will be 11:30 AM on Monday January 25, 2016 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W Marquette St, Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J Farrell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Monday morning beginning at 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Full military honors will follow; Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Herb's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Pine Manor, for all of their care and compassion this past year.
