    Our Dearest Mother
Just in case we forgot to say,
"Thank you for all you taught."
It started when we were little,
    When you taught us
    how to walk.
    Soon we were able
    to tie our shoes,
    Someone taught us,
    and we know who.
    As we grew older
    and went to school
    There were many things
    that we already knew.
    Someone taught us,
    and it was you.
    We learned how to cook
    and even sew.
You taught us to clean and
    put things where they go.
To say, "Please and Thank you",
and don't talk out of turn.
    Just some of the things
    we have learned.
    You taught us respect,
    to honor and obey.
    You taught us about God
    and how to pray.
    There are so many things
    that we couldn't do,
    If you didn't teach us
    the things you knew.
    You taught us to drive,
    plant a garden and
    work in the yard,
And if you want things in life,
    you gotta work hard.
    They give golden apples
    to teachers,
    you should get the tree.
    Full of golden apples,
from each of us, and me.
    There is one thing
    that we still can't do,
    We will never be able
    to sing like you.
    But the most important
thing that we can think of,
Is you taught us the meaning
    of Family, and
    what is to be loved.
    We love you more than
    you will ever know.
Thank you for being our MOM!
