    John G. Jungwirth, age 85, of Appleton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, following a brief illness. John was born in Oshkosh on December 12, 1928 to the late John and Olga (Hoffman) Jungwirth. John was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel Lutheran Church in 1954. On April 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Helen M. Fritz.
    John proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1951 thru 1956, spending several years in Germany. Before and after his military service, he worked at Jungwirth Brothers gas station in Greenville. He then went on to work for William Tiede and Sons and Fox Valley Lutheran High School. John also operated his own businesses, Mudjacking Specialist and a janitorial service.
    John was a long-time member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Appleton. John loved watching the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work, bird watching, and shopping.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Helen, of Appleton; son Kenneth (Rebecca) Jungwirth, and their children Andrew and Matthew Jungwirth; daughter Susan Jungwirth; 3 brothers: William (Yvonne) Jungwirth, Larry (Sandy) Jungwirth, and Edward (Boni) Jungwirth; 2 sisters-in-law: Lucille Fritz and Maxine Lathrop; and 2 brothers-in-law: Raymond (Ingeborg) Fritz and Robert (Lorraine) Fritz. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, brother George Jungwirth, infant brother Robert Jungwirth, sister-in-law Karen Jungwirth, 2 brothers-in-law: Burton Lathrop and Donald Fritz, grandson Peter Jungwirth, and nephew Gregory Fritz.
    A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 129 S. Mason St., Appleton, with Rev. Thomas Mielke officiating. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel, 606 N. Oneida St., Appleton, and directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. The family has established a memorial fund in John's name.

    Menasha - William J. Jungwirth, age 87, of Menasha, WI passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 29, 2018.
    William was born in Oshkosh, WI to John and Olga (Hoffman) Jungwirth on June 20, 1930. He married Yvonne Roebke on November 1, 1958 in Oshkosh, WI. He was a factory worker at Foremost Dairies for over 30 years. He served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Menasha. He loved baseball and especially liked watching Milwaukee Brewers.
    William was preceded in death by his parents, John and Olga Jungwirth; brothers, John, George and Robert Jungwirth. Sister-in-laws, Helen and Karen.
    William is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Yvonne Jungwirth; children, Pamela Podjaski (James vonSagun), Garry Jungwirth; brothers, Lawrence, (Sandra) Jungwirth, Edward (Boni) Jungwirth; grandchildren, Joshua (Abby) Podjaski, Athena (Josiah) DeHusson, Trevor Jungwirth, Jeremy Jungwirth, and Evan Jungwirth; great-grandchildren, Emilye, Owen and Beau; along with many nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at The Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St, Appleton, WI. Pastor Phil Hunter of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, will be officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the chapel.

    George D. Jungwirth, age 78, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Appleton Health Care Center. George was born on July 25, 1932, in Appleton, son of the late John and Olga (Hoffman) Jungwirth. On September 22, 1974, he was united in marriage to Karen Schiefelbein in Greenville. George loved hunting, fishing, and baseball. He formerly owned and operated Greenville's first gas and mini mart, Jungwirth's Brothers Gas. He retired from Badger Highway in 1997. George also did snowplowing in the Greenville Community. He served his country in the US Army.
    He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters, Jenny Catlin, significant other, Gary Vanevenhoven, Greenville and Kari (Todd) Dombrowski, Freedom; sons, Steve Simon, Appleton and Don (Angie) Jungwirth, Hortonville. Four brothers: John (Helen) Jungwirth, Appleton; Bill (Yvonne) Jungwirth, Menasha; Larry (Sandy) Jungwirth, Medina and Ed (Bonnie) Jungwirth, Appleton. Grandchildren: Matt (Tricia) Catlin; Ryan (Nicole) Catlin; Nick Babino; Kalie Catlin; Hunter, Brooke and Miranda Dombrowski; Nathan, Chelsea and Chloe Jungwirth; one great-grandchild, Carleigh Catlin. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    His parents and an infant brother Robert preceded him in death.
    Funeral services for George will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Greenville with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home, Hortonville. Visitation will also be held at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
    The family would like to thank the Greenville First Responders, Appleton Medical Center and Appleton Health Care Center for all their care and concern of George.
