    Willis "Bick" Scharf, age 84, of 256 Grand Avenue, Brillion, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family.
    Bick was born on July 31, 1928 in Green Bay, son of the late Arno and Edna (Peter) Scharf. He graduated from Brillion High School with the class of 1946 and the University of Wisconsin- Madison with the class of 1956. Bick served our country in the United States Army from 1951 - 1953 during the Korean War. On December 21, 1964, he married Karen Krueger. Bick worked at the Brillion Iron Works as the Credit Manager until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Brillion Athletic Association, the Brillion Lions Club, and the American Legion Post 126 of Brillion. He also was the Justice of the Peace in Brillion for several years and was involved with Curisillo and marriage encounter, the Brillion Parks and Recreation Board, and other community causes. Bick was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, racquetball, and bowling, was a semi-pro bowler, and coached little league baseball. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, as well as spending time with them. Bick and Karen also spent time traveling and enjoyed their winters in Florida.
    Bick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen of Brillion; their children: Melissa (Jeff) Weber of Freedom, Steve (RuthAnn) of Lakewood, IL, Becky (Mark) Van Elsen of Greenleaf and Mike (Kary) of Brillion; grandchildren: Joshua, Tyler and Meghan Weber, Zack and Zoe Scharf, Lindsay Van Elsen, and Mykela and Maxwell Scharf; one sister and brother-in-law: Arnita (Lyle) Bruss of Sister Bay; two brothers-in-law: James Williams of Brillion and Scott (Peggy) Krueger of Lady Lake, FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    Bick was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Henry and Harriett Krueger , his sister-in-law: Linda Williams, and other relatives.
    Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt. Burial will take place in Holy Family Parish Cemetery, Brillion. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 126 of Brillion.
    Friends may call at the church on Tuesday evening, July 16, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will conclude the visitation. The visitation will continue on Wednesday morning, also at church, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
