Obituary:
Gordon M. Durkee, 72, of 311 Sarah Street, Kaukauna, died Wednesday morning, December 26, after a brief illness at the Kaukauna Community Hospital.
He was born February 4, 1912 in Chilton. He resided in Kaukauna most of his life and was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company for over 34 years. He operated an upholstery shop in Kaukauna for many years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kaukauna, and belonged to the Kaukauna Masonic Lodge NO 233 F&AM.
Survivors are his wife, Alice (Mews) Durkee; a daughter nd son-in-law; Bonnie and Isaac Yarmak, Los Angeles, California; a son and daughter-in-law; Eugene and Twyla Durkee, Green Bay; a sister, Mrs. Marian Priebe, New London; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
The funeral was Friday at the United Methodist Church, Kaukauna with the Rev. William Janusch officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park.
