    Al Schnese, 85, Indianapolis, was born in Kimberly, Wis. on Jul. 26, 1926. He was a graduate of Kimberly High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and Badger Boys State.
    Al left Madison to join the U.S. Army and served as a Staff Sergeant in the 11th Airborne Division in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
    Al returned to Wis. upon completion of his service and started Frasier Lumber Company. He then created Allied Supply Company in Appleton. Al moved into a sales position with Valley School Suppliers, Appleton, and finished his career in sales with Mainline Industrial Distributors in Appleton.
    Al was a member of the First Congregational Church, UCC in Appleton, and was an active member until the end at Geist Christian Church in Indianapolis. He was a member at Buttes des Morts Country Club, Waupaca Country Club, and Riverview Country Club in Wis.
    Al was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Schnese of Kimberly, Wis.; along with five brothers and sisters.
    He was also preceded in death by a wife, Rita Holzem Schnese; and is survived by their children, John (Nancy Bina) Schnese, Maple Grove, Minn.; Ellyn (Carl) Trinrud, Colbert, Ga.; Bill (Brenda Rassmusen) Schnese, Dublin, Ohio; Jim Schnese, Hendersonville, N.C.; and Bob (Lori Vaughan) Schnese, Chanhassen, Minn.
    He is also survived by wife, Jeri Schnese, Indianapolis, Ind.; and children Kim (Ed) Henz, Indianapolis, Ind., Robert (Sally Spence), Indianapolis, Ind., and Mike Schnese, Madison, Wis.
    He leaves behind 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    A true "Cheesehead," Al was an original season ticket-holder of the 13-time Champion Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. He was also a tremendous supporter of his beloved Wisconsin Badgers. A golf nut, Al recorded an "ace" on the 8th hole at Riverview Country Club in Appleton, Wis.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at Geist Christian Church, Indianapolis, Ind., with calling for one hour prior.
    In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations for the Centenary Christian Church Food Shelf of Indianapolis, Ind. via Geist Christian Church, 8550 Mud Creek Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46256.

    Schnese, Kenneth A ., Sr.Kenneth A. Schnese Sr. , Appleton, formerly of Kimberly, age 87, died at F ranciscan Care and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, April 8, 2006. He w as born in Appleton on May 10, 1918, son of the late Arthur and Anna (V an Dinter) Schnese. He was a native of Kimberly and graduated from Kimber ly High School. On May 10, 1941, he married his wife of 46 years, Alvi na H. Bretthauer, who preceded him in death on April 26, 1988.Ken served as a member of the United States Army, 101st Airborne. He was i nvolved in the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He receiv ed the Purple Heart in Holland and various other medals. Ken served as a m ember of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Americ an Veterans and the Catholic Order of Foresters.     In all the world we shall not find a heart so wonderfully kind. So soft a voice, so sweet a smile, an inspiration so worthwhile.
    Priscilla Margaret (Schnese) Vosters, age 95, of Kimberly, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 17, 1921, to the late Arthur and Anna (Van Dinter) Schnese. She married John J. Vosters on July 23, 1946 at Holy Name Church.
    Priscilla loved to help others. She was a volunteer for many years at St Elizabeth Hospital, along with her weekly visits to Colony Oaks Care Center, serving them coffee, cookies and her beautiful smile. She was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, chocolate lover and ice cream connoisseur. Priscilla always insisted on eating two desserts at every meal! She was our prayer warrior, always there for us, day or night. She sang in the church choir and often rode her bike to church. Priscilla taught her daughters to be strong, independent women. We are forever grateful to call her our Mother!
    She is survived by her six daughters, Sue (Gary) Van Nuland, Cindy Pynenberg, Sally (Jack) Driscoll, Diann (Jeff) Hietpas, Debbie (Dave) Austin-Johnson, and Mary (Dennis Besaw) Brennan; seventeen grandchildren, Steve Van Nuland, Jenifer (Randy) Huss, John (Kari) Pynenberg, Scott (Niki) Pynenberg, Mark (Becky) Pynenberg, Chad (Jodi) Pynenberg, Jill (Billy) Walker, Neal (Terra) Driscoll, Mathew (Lisa) Driscoll, Laura (Mike) Driscoll, Gene (Betsy) Hietpas, Dawn (Andy) Plumb, Alexandria (Jason) Reimer, Brooke (BJ) Miller, Calvin Sprangers, Brittany Sprangers and Jonathan Brennan.     In addition to her husband John and her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Alex Sprangers; son-in-law, Rick Pynenberg; her brothers, Ken (Alvina) Schnese, Marvin (Esther) Schnese, and Flavian Schnese; brothers-in-law, Wally (Ceil), Larry (Lorrie), Norb (Harriet), Louie (Josephine), Butch, Joseph and her sisters-in-law, Margaret (Ken) Kunstman, Dorothy (Paul) Schmidt and Catherine (Frank) Siedl.
    The Funeral Liturgy for Priscilla will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly, with the Msg. Jim Feely officiating.     Arline I. Lamers, Little Chute, age 97, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2014. Arline was born to Louis and Anna Schnese on June 8, 1917, in Shawano, Wisconsin. Arline is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jerry Lamers; her sister Dorothy Bray; and her brothers Louis Schnese and Frank Schnese.
    Arline was married to the late Jerome (Jerry) Lamers for over sixty years and she lived her entire adult life in Little Chute, Wisconsin. She worked as a clerk for 27 years at the Little Chute Variety Store. Arline and Jerry traveled all over the United States throughout their life together and especially enjoyed golfing. After retiring they would spend the winter months in Florida golfing and enjoying their many friends in Florida.
    While Arline and Jerry never had children of their own, Arline's nieces, Sharon Johannes and Mary Lehmann, were very special to her. With the love and attention given to Arline by her nieces, Arline was able to live in her own home until she was 93 years old. Arline moved to Parkside Care Center where she was cared for by the wonderful staff until her passing.

    Jerome H. Schnese passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Jerome was born on April 12, 1936 in the Appleton home of his parents Howard and Irene (Urban) Schnese. He was a 1955 graduate of Appleton High School. On September 28, 1957, he married Susan McDonnell at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Menasha. As a young man "Schnez" worked days as a service station mechanic at Verrier-Schmit Sinclair. He worked nights at the Pizza Palace, starting in 1955 when Frank Pierri first opened "the joint". In 1965 Jerome went to work at Miller Electric. He spent 32 years there, retiring in 1997. From the 50's on, "Schnez" had a reputation as a speed mechanic. Doc was involved in stock car racing, starting at Apple Creek Speedway with cars driven by J.J.Smith. He progressed to late model stocks at WIR, building and maintaining cars for Al Piette and Gene Wheeler including the Camaro which Jim Sauter drove to a track championship in 1981.
    Upon his retirement from Miller Electric, "Doc" became the neighborhood fix-it man. From leaf blowers to mortar mixers, if it had an engine, "Doc" could make it purr. He was also a green thumb gardener and awesome woodworker, crafting many pieces of fine furniture.
    Jerome is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Susan; his sons, Jerry, Menasha, and Michael (Julia), Menasha; a granddaughter, Dylan; sister, Patricia Moler, of Springfield WV; niece, Tamy (Rick) De Leon, Waimanalo, HI; two nephews; Terry (Kelly) Schnese, and Tad (Judy) Schnese, both of Anchorage, AK. He is further survived by sister-in-law, Pat (Bill) Kernen, of Neenah; two brothers-in-law, Bob (Becky) Mc Donnell, Laguna Beach, CA and Jake (Camilla) McDonnell, Fullerton, CA; as well as other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his older brother Cal; Cal's wife Rosie; and a niece, Karen.
    A celebration of Jerome's life will be held on Monday November 4, 2013 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, from 3:00 until 5:00 PM
    Jerry will be greatly missed by his many friends. He would ask that they raise a glass in memory of "Schnez" and the good times. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
    A special Thank You to Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice for the TLC they provided Jerry during his final days, especially his nurses, Phil, Kristen and Gina.

On April 4, 1981 she was united in marriage to Alfred Paltzer. Sandy worked at Tuttle Press then in retail at Hebergers and Good'n Natural. She found her passion working at the YMCA as a reflexologist and Jin Shin Jyutsu (the art of gentle touch) practitioner. Sandy enjoyed cooking, and the holistic lifestyle. She also liked motorcycle touring with Al, playing cards with friends, reading and writing poetry. Sandy was a member of St. Thomas More and sang in the church choir.

    Mary Pat Vande Hey, 55, Freedom, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 26, 2 005, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 31, 195 0, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Her family moved to Tomah, Wis ., a couple years later, where she grew up and spent her childhood. At t he age of 27, she moved to Freedom to start her own family. She was a carr ier for The Post-Crescent. A job she truly enjoyed, delivering the daily n ews to residents of Freedom for 15 years. Mary Pat loved music and dancin g, camping and the outdoors and, of course, her Green Bay Packers. She w as creative beyond words, whether it be interior design, building or the f abulous Halloween costumes made to celebrate her husband's birthday.
