    James E. Boylan, 88, of Greenleaf died peacefully Monday, December 24th, 2012 at home with his loving family at his side. He was born to the late Edward and Prudence (Browne) Boylan March 3rd, 1924 in Greenleaf. He married Bernice Benzschawel of Greenleaf on October 20th, 1949 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenleaf. Jim farmed most of his life. He was also a milk truck driver, town assessor, and school bus driver. He recently retired from the Town Planning Commission.
    Jim was one-of-a-kind. He especially enjoyed spending time with family & friends and was proud of his Irish heritage. Jim touched the lives of many people in the community. Through it all he kept his "quick wit" and sense of humor. He will truly be missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
    Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bernice; their children, Tom (Rose) Boylan, son-in-law Dick Kocian, Jerry (Linda) Boylan, Shirley (Dan) Petersen, Dennis Boylan, Donna (Mike) Larson, Ken (Paula) Boylan, Michael Boylan, Janet (Jim) Blauert, Kevin (Maureen) Boylan, and Lisa (Bob) Falck; 28 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Du Prey Oshkosh; a sister-in-law Ruth Kabat; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    Jim was preceded in death by his parents Edward & Prudence; son Roger; daughter Charlene Kocian; infant sister Anna; sisters Mary Kennedy and Florence VandeHey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: William Kennedy, Robert Du Prey, Mark Vande Hey, Cy and Marge Huss, Robert and Florence Benzschawel, Richard and Ella Mae Benzschawel and Lan Kabat.
    Friends may call at St. Clare Catholic Church-St. Paul site, 437 Main Street, Wrightstown on Thursday, December 27th from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a closing prayer service. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken, Fr. Robert Kabat, and Deacon Ken Kabat concelebrating. Jim will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Greenleaf.

Florence was born to t he late Edward and Prudence (Browne) Boylan in Greenleaf, Wis., on Aug. 2 5, 1925. She graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1943. Florence cont inued her education by attending Outagamie Rural Normal School and earn ed a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshko sh in 1965. Florence married Mark R. Vande Hey at St. John Catholic Chur ch on Aug. 28, 1948, in Morrison, Wis. Retiring in 1977, Florence spe nt 33 years teaching elementary school at Conrad School from 1944 to 195 6, Askeaton Elementary School from 1956 to 1963 and Wrightstown Elementa ry School from 1963 until her retirement. Education and traveling were imp ortant parts of Florence’s life.Florence is survived by her husband, Mark R.     Jakl, Cheryl A.Cheryl A. Jakl, Kaukauna, age 54, passed away Sunday at her home, surround ed by her loving family and dear friends. Cheryl was born August 16, 19 51 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Mark and Florence (Boylan) Vande He y. A 1969 graduate of Kaukauna High School, she also attended the Outagam ie County Teacher's College. On August 6, 1971 she married Tom Jakl in She rwood. Cheryl received her Bachelor's Degree in elementary education fr om the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1975. She taught at Freedom Elem entary School for ten years and then chose to take some time off to rai se her family. During this time, she took evening courses to obtain her Re ading Certification. In 1995 she returned to Freedom Elementary as a Tit le I reading teacher. Her many students and their parents can attest to h er love for children and her devotion to and enthusiasm for teaching.Cheryl was a very talented woman who enjoyed sewing and crafting of all ki nds. Her family and her many friends have all received countless hand-ma de gifts over the years. She also enjoyed traveling, and her favorite dest ination was Disney World. Those who knew Cheryl knew her to be the authori ty of all things Disney. As if this were not enough, Cheryl was also a won derful homemaker, cook, and gardener. Cheryl was proud of her Irish ancest ry and heritage. She was an expert on her family tree, and just simply lov ed "being Irish."Cheryl is survived by her husband of 34 years, Tom Jakl of Kaukauna; her t wo loving children: Seth Jakl and Leigh Jakl; five brothers and sisters-in -law: Ronald (Sonja) Jakl of Utah; Ed (Cathy) Jakl of Kaukauna; Patricia D iny of De Pere; Carol (LeRoy) DeValk of Combined Locks; and Jerry Ja kl of California.
