    Evers, Josephine M.Josephine M. Evers, age 100, died on Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Francisc an Care Center, Appleton. Josephine was born on May 1, 1904, in the Litt le Chute to the late Arnold and Lena (William-son) Van Handel. She marri ed Frank H. Evers, on November 25, 1926; he preceded her in death. Josephi ne was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was employed at Applet on Woolen Mills (Voith) for over 45 years as a splicer of paper machine fe lts. Josephine was also a homemaker and seamstress who made many wedding g owns, communion dresses and all kinds of alterations.Survivors include her daughter, Isabelle (Kenneth E.) Kopiske, Sr., Applet on; her five grandchildren, Timothy (Shirley) Kopiske, Sr.; Maureen (Donal d) Reinert; Thomas (Linda) Kopiske; Michael (Tina) Kopiske; and Kenneth (T ammy) Kopiske, Jr; eight great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildr en and their families; many nieces and nephews. She is further surviv ed by her brothers, Theodore and John Frances; her sisters, Gertrude Verku ilen and Margaret Phillips; sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Ed) and Geraldine (H enry).Josephine was preceded in death by her sons, Gerald and Robert; her brothe rs, Henry, Martin, Joseph A. and Edward and Henry P.     Obituary:
    Gertrude Verkuilen, of Neenah, formerly of Appleton, age 102, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. She was born on March 17, 1907, daughter of the late Arnold and Helena (Williamsen) Van Handel. She was united in marriage to Jacob Verkuilen on February 9, 1925, at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute, WI. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage until Jacob's death on February 23, 1991. Gertrude was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church for 77 years. She was also a member of St. Therese Christian Mothers Society. Gert worked at Lawrence University as a housekeeper in Phi Delta Fraternity house for 10 years. She was a loving, caring mother to her family and any person that needed her.
    Gertrude will be missed by her six loving children: Daughters: Martha (Marge) Pasholk, Neenah, Sharon Rammer, Appleton; Sons: Donald Verkuilen, Appleton, Marvin (Maureen) Verkuilen, Mount Arlington, N.J., Vernon (Yvonne "Eve") Verkuilen, Bloomer, WI and Thomas Verkuilen, Appleton.
    Grandchildren: Karen (Robert) Shadduck, Kevin (Suzanne) Parman, Michael (Georgia) Verkuilen, Mark (Renee) Verkuilen, Margaret (Thomas) Mollahan, Mary Jo (James) Sharick, Matthew (Joanne) Verkuilen, Henry (Laura) Verkuilen, Sara (John) Caron, Ginny (Dean) Marquardt, Polly (Allan) Jacobson, Amy (Michael) Tisol-Retzinger, Kimberly Verkuilen, Douglas (Camille) Rammer and Beth (Holger) Raeder.

    She is survived by her sister Margaret Phillips, Weyauwega, WI, and sisters-in-law: Lorraine Van Handel, Ella Verkuilen, Anna Verkuilen and brother-in-law, George (Marie) Verkuilen. Gertrude is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Agnes Verkuilen; sons-in-law: Kenneth Parman, Bernard Pasholk and Robert W. Rammer; a very special ex-daughter-in-law, Judith Trowbridge; grandchildren: Keith Parman, Mary Verkuilen and Mitsue Verkuilen; her sisters: Mary (Joseph) Van Handel and Josephine (Frank) Evers, brothers: Joseph (Harriet) Van Handel, Theodore (Elizabeth) Van Handel, John (Mary) Van Handel, Henry (Lee) Van Handel and Edward Van Handel; and brother-in-law, Sylvester Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, brothers and in-laws of her husband's family.
    The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton, with Fr. William Hoffman officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
    We would like to thank our sister, Marge, for the wonderful care she provided our mother for the past nine years.
    The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Cherry Meadow Hospice and Theda Care at Home for their excellent, compassionate care of our mother. We appreciate all they did for her.

    Joseph A. Van HandelAge 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, at his home with loved on es by his side. Joe was born on November 5, 1908, in the Town of Vandenbro ok, Wisconsin; the son of Arnold and Lena Van Handel. On September 26, 193 3, Joe married Harriet Hietpas, sharing 67 happy, loving years.Joe worked as many occupations prior to owning his own dairy farm in the T own of Grand Chute, where he farmed until 1966. He went into semi-retireme nt in a home he and Harriet built in Greenville. He resided there until h is death. During this time, he enjoyed helping his son, Glenn, on his far m. He was an active member of the Greenville Civics Club serving six yea rs as president. Joe was always an active member of the community. He serv ed as a volunteer fire chief in the Town of Harrison and as town constable .Faith was an important part of his life. He was an active member of St. Ed ward's Mackville and then St. Bernard Parish, Appleton. Family was alwa ys important to Joe. His most treasured times were those spend with fami ly gathered around him.Joe is survived by his wife, Harriet, and children: Robert (Millie), Leo ne (Bill) Benner, Sr. Jolene OP, Jerome (Phyllis), Judy, Bev (Jerry) Gartz ke, and Glenn (Mary).     Theodore A. Van Handel, age 98, of Kimberly, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2008. He was born March 19, 1910, to the late Arnold and Helena (Williamsen) Van Handel, in the town of Vandenbroek and prior to moving to Kimberly in 1960 he was a resident of Appleton. Ted had been employed by the Chicago Northwestern Rail Road for over 30 years in track maintenance. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly.
    Ted is survived by his son, Eugene (Geraldine) Van Handel, Appleton; two grandsons: Dean (Dawna) Van Handel, Appleton; Darin (Valerie) Van Handel, Little Chute; four great grandchildren: Rayna, Dustin, Logan and Brodie; two sisters: Gertrude Verkuilen, Neenah; Margaret Phillips, Weyauwega.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth in 1976 and 10 brothers and sisters.
    The funeral liturgy for Theodore will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Holy Spirit Parish, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Father David Beaudry officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.

J ohn was born August 30, 1912, in the Town of Vandenbroek, Outagamie Count y, the son of the late Arnold and Lena (Williamson) Van Handel. He had res ided in the Appleton area all of his life until moving to Garden Grove fol lowing the death of his wife. On February 8, 1941, he was united in marria ge Mary Otte, sharing 62 years together before her death in 2003. John w as employed by Hoffman Construction Company for 25 years, retiring in 19 77 and was a veteran of WWII serving as an ambulance driver with the U. S. Army in Europe. He lived in the Fox Cities all of his life, residing in Appleto n, since 1949. He played semi-pro football for 3 years with the Little Chu te Flying Dutchmen, Appleton Reds and the Kaukauna Electric City. He w as to try out for the Packers with Curly Lambeau, but was called to ser ve in World War II with the United States Marine Corp. He went overse as to the Pacific. He worked for Neenah Foundry Company for 45 years, work ing his way up to Plant 2 Superintendent for 13 years. He enjoyed traveli ng to New Zealand, Australia, St. Barts, FWI, and Alaska, with his wife Le ora.He was past Commander of the Appleton VFW, involved in their Boy Scout pro gram. He was the "Onion Man" at the Chili Suppers and still active volunte ering at the VFW. He was a lifelong member of St. Therese Catholic Church.He is preceded in death by the mothers of his children: Arlene West and Ir ene Lofholm. Leora Witthuhn, to whom he was married for 49 years, preced ed him in 1998.     90, Appleton. Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. He was born to the late Joseph and Mary (Van Handel) Van Handel on August 10, 1926 in Freedom. Arnie married Geraldine (Kohl) Van Handel on August 21, 1948 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. Arnie proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of both the VFW and American Legion of Appleton. Arnie was involved with Boy Scout Troop 67 for 35 years. He and Geri enjoyed spending time with the Old Time Car Club and the many picnics and parades. Upon his masonry retirement, Arnie and Geri enjoyed many trips with the Farmers on the Bum bus trips. Arnie's greatest treasure in life was his family. He was also a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton.
    Arnie is survived by 3 sons: Michael (Judy) Van Handel, their children: Joe (Cari) Van Handel and Jessica (Brett) Zitzelsberger; John "Jack" (Ann) Van Handel and their children: Michael (Lisa) Van Handel, Amy (Ryan) Hanson, Dan (Jeminah) Van Handel, Joanna (John) Richter and Mark Van Handel; Thomas "Tom" (Jody) Van Handel and their children: Eric (Lindsey) Van Handel and Allison (Matthew) Reid and 18 great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Julia Priesler, Irene Schneidewend, Rosie (Bob) Weiland, Delores (Ron) Nussbaum, Dorothy Plutz, Norbert Van Handel, Margaret Liebergen (special friend Darwin Schwartz), Marvin Van Handel (special friend, Pat Barker) and Anthony (Kathy) Van Handel; sister-in-law Romae Van Handel; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard and Marylyn Kohl, Ellen Kohl and Lorraine Kohl as well as many nieces and nephews.

    A Funeral Mass to Celebrate Arnie's life will be held at 11 AM, Friday August 4, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 312 S State St, Appleton with Rev. William Swichtenberg officiating. Friends may visit the family on Friday directly at church from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will take place at St Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established.
    The family wishes to thank the Brewster Village staff and nurses who cared for Arnie. Arnie was a joy to be around. Mike, Jack and Tom send a big Thank You to the staff and nurses for caring for their dad.
    Dad, thinking of all the times we worked together, you taught me the masonry trade; I enjoyed all the jobs you, I & Joe worked together in the state of Wisconsin and in Montana. Judy and I enjoyed all the trips with you and Mom. Thanks for being you, I couldn't ask for a better dad. I will miss the fish fries on Friday nights. Your devoted son, Mike

    Alois "Al" Sylvester Van Handel, 74, of Freedom, Wisconsin, passed away in the loving hands of his family Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Brewster Village Nursing Home in Appleton. He was born on May 6, 1940, the ninth of twelve children of the late Joseph and Mary Van Handel of Freedom. Al loved to garden, square dance, and spend time playing cards with his many friends and large family.
    Al graduated from Freedom High School in 1958, and always worked at least two jobs. He worked for American Can Company (later James River and Graphic Packaging) for 50 years until his retirement in 2011, while also working for Gonnering Farms, and later owning a family dairy farm. Al always had a large vegetable garden, and was known for sharing his harvest with many in the community.
    Al married Romae Antoinette Liebergen, his wife of 50 years, on April 4, 1964 at St. Patrick's Church in Greenleaf. Al is survived by his wife Romae, and their seven children: Roxanne (Tim) Lutgen, Renee (Mark) Uitenbroek, Rochelle (William) Oskey, Rebecca Van Handel (special friend Terry Seidl), Rosanne Trepanier (fiancé William Smith), Alois Jr. (Melissa) Van Handel, and Robin (Erich) Vanstrom. Al and Romae have 19 grandchildren: Siobhan (Zeb) Allen, Ray and Declan O'Connell, Ben (Kassy), Nyssa, and Hannah Lutgen, Anthony and Jaymie Holtz, Jerome "Romy" Oskey, Monica and Wayne Trepanier, Taniesha, Tahvia, Tabraea, and Tavyn Vanstrom, Gregory, Erin, Christine, and Joseph Uitenbroek. Lastly, Al and Romae have 2 great grandchildren, Lyla Lutgen and Colton Allen.

    Marge Parman-Pasholk, age 82, Neenah, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 18, 2009. She was born in Kaukauna on January 30, 1927, the daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude (Van Handel) Verkuilen. She was proud to graduate from Appleton High School. On September 27, 1946, she married Kenneth Parman who preceded her in death on November 4, 1967. On June 21, 1969, she married the love of her life, Bernard "Barney" Pasholk. He preceded her in death in October, 2000. Marge belonged to the Daughters of Ruth while she lived in Bancroft, WI. At St. Therese, she belonged to the Ladies of St. Therese and the Catholic Daughters. Marge was very active in her church. She was very caring, understanding, and proud of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Marge is survived by her children: Karen (Robert C.) Shadduck of Neenah and Kevin (Susanne) Parman of Neenah; step-children: Elaine Pasholk of Neenah and George (Jennifer) Pasholk of Waupaca; grandchildren: Tina (Don) Spaeth, Robert (Kelly) Shadduck, and Michael (Kylene) Parman; step-grandchildren: Erin Ashenbrenner and Jonathan Pasholk and special friend, Cassie Johnson; great-grandchildren: Sierra Shadduck, Braden Parman, Makayla Parman, and Donald and Tina's daughter on the way; step-great-grandchildren: Rachael and Rebekah Ashenbrenner; brothers: Donald Verkuilen, Marvin (Maureen) Verkuilen, Vernon (Yvonne) Verkuilen and Thomas Verkuilen; and sister, Sharon Rammer; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Parman; second husband, Bernard "Barney" Pasholk; son, Keith Parman in 1979; parents, Jacob and Gertrude (Van Handel) Verkuilen; grandparents, Arnold and Helena Van Handel; mother and father-in-law, Ernest and Louise Parman; sister-in-law, Agnes Verkuilen; and brother-in-law, Robert Rammer.
    The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton, with Fr. William Hoffman officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. Burial will be in St. Margaret and Mary Cemetery, Neenah.
    The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Ann and Joe, for the loving care they gave to our mother.
    A memorial fund is being established in Marge's name.

    Passed away on December 29, 2017 in Appleton, Wisconsin at the age of 89. Don was born on September 19, 1928 to Jacob and Gertrude Verkuilen in Appleton, Wisconsin. Don served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Don was joined in marriage to Agnes Kuba Kobs on November 11, 1960. Don was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church of Mackville, Wisconsin for nearly 50 years. He was employed at Riverside Paper Corporation for over 30 years. Don enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, dancing with Agnes, camping, fishing traveling, cutting his grass after retirement and "putzing around" with anything he could.
    Don is survived by his son Joseph "Mike" (Brenda) Kobs, grandchildren LeaAnne Kobs Johnson, Christopher Kobs, and Jennifer (Jeremy) Van Camp, and great grandchildren Kaytelyn and McKenzie Johnson and Lauren, Lindsey, and Lexie Van Camp.     Marvin Cyril "Marv" Verkuilen, 81, of Mt. Arlington, N.J. (formally of Rockaway), the loving husband of Maureen, died on April 4, 2012.
    A son of the late Jacob and Gertrude Verkuilen, Marv was born in Appleton, WI. After graduating from Appleton High School, where he was a five-sport athlete, he and five of his buddies joined the Marine Corps. Marv was sent off to fight in Korea (the "Forgotten War") where he was one of the "Chosin Few" who survived one of the hardest fought battles in the history of war at the battle of Chosin Reservoir. After his discharge, he went to work for Wisconsin Bell and transferred to New Jersey Bell where he worked for 38 years.
    His life revolved around his children's activities where he was very involved in all levels from volunteer to coach for his sons and daughters football, baseball and basketball and swimming. Always a proud Marine, he was a past-Post Commander of VFW # 2519 in Denville, active in the Marine Corps League and, most important to him, the Chosin Few Organization. With always one of his many golden retrievers by his side, you would see him on his four mile walk on the boulevard on a daily basis.
    He was predeceased by his beloved daughter-in-law Mitsue and sister Marge Pasholk and is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Maureen (nee Kapp) and his five children, Michael (Georgia), Mark (Renee), Margaret Micki Mollahan (Tom), Mary Jo Sharick (Jim) and Matthew (Joanne) and his 16 grandchildren Michael, Nick, Alexa Verkuilen; Dan (Jennie), Tom Verkuilen; Madeline, Meghan, Caitlin and Kelly Mollahan; Jake, Nick, and Jenna Sharick; Jacqueline and Abigail Verkuilen and 1 great granddaughter Maliyah Mitsue Verkuilen. Also surviving are three brothers Donald, Vernon and Thomas and sister Sharon Rammer and brother-in-law John Kapp (Mary Ellen), along with many nieces and nephews, and cousins. He leaves behind his best friend Jim Molloy and all of his Appleton buddies.
    All are invited to attend a celebration of Marv's life in Appleton on Saturday, April 14th from 11AM-

    Judy Van Handel, 62, peacefully went to meet her Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2009, surrounded by her immediate family. Judy was born on July 30, 1946, in rural Appleton, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Harriet (Hietpas) Van Handel.
    Judy was diagnosed with polio on July 29, 1955. Though handicapped and respiratory impaired, she spent the rest of her life showing all those with whom she came in contact how to live life to the fullest.
    Judy's loves in life were her family, especially the children, her parish community and the gifts of God's beautiful nature. Her flower beds were her pride and joy.
    Judy loved music and enjoyed singing with the Spirit Singers Choir at St. Bernard Parish where she was a long time member and volunteer coordinator. She especially enjoyed coordinating Vacation Bible School each summer and was a religious education teacher for the second grade program for many years.
    Judy was also a long time member of the Disability Awareness Group in the area and enjoyed doing presentations for them in the area schools and for other organizations.
    Survivors include her brothers and sisters: Bob (Millie) Van Handel, Keshena, Jerome (Phyllis) Van Handel, Neenah, Glenn (Mary) Van Handel, Shiocton, Leone (Bill) Benner, Appleton, Sr. Jolene Van Handel O.P., Detroit, and Bev (Jerry) Gartzke, Menasha; and Judy's special friend Donald Torgerson, Pearson.

    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Judy's long term care providers - Elaine, Yvonne, Becky and Julie and to the doctors and the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, especially the ICU nursing staff who cared for Judy so lovingly during her stay.
    God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be, He closed His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me". In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away. Our hearts were almost broken you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain, we could not wish you back to suffer so again. So keep your arms around her Lord, and give her special care. Make up for all she suffered and all that seemed unfair.

    VanHandel, Charles B. “Chuck ”, Little ChuteCharles B. Van Handel, age 47, was given the gift that God promises to a ll of us, “eternal life” on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004. He passed away unexpect edly - doing what he loved to do - snowmobiling. He died as he lived - wi th joy in his heart and a love for the outdoors. He was born on July 17, 1 956, to Edward W. & Lorraine (Otte) Van Handel. He married his high scho ol sweetheart, Sue Hietpas, and this past October they celebrated 25 yea rs of marriage. Chuck was known to all those who loved him as the person w ho could fix anything, sometimes being called the “sheeny”. His love of fa mily was always evident in all that he did. His children Tyler, Ted, and A nna have broken hearts — they will miss their dad whose gentle spirit h as guided them to be the people they are becoming. God gives many grac es — their Dad’s unconditional love for them was a wonderful gift. Chuck ’s quiet faith has been an example to all of us. Chuck was a faithful a nd well-respected employee of Don Hietpas & Sons Construction for the pa st 30 years. He loved his employers and they loved him.He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; his children Tyler, Ted and Ann a; his mother, Lorraine Van Handel; brothers Ed (Kathy) Van Handel, Jer ry Van Handel and Danny Van Handel.     Preisler, Richard N. Age 64, of Green Bay, formerly of Hortonville, passed away at his residence on Sunday May 17, 2015 following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in New London, WI, on August 29, 1950, the son of Stephen & Julia (Van Handel) Preisler and raised on the family farm in Hortonville. He graduated from Hortonville High School and FVTC. Richard was united in marriage to Vonnie Hertensteiner in 1987 until she preceded him in death in 1996. He was a devoted worker at Kimberly-Clark, working as a machinist for over 30 years. He then drove school bus for Lamers until his illness. Richard enjoyed fishing, boating, and also watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. He is survived by his mother, Julia Preisler, Hortonville. Two daughters, Sheila (Sandy) Schmidt, Shiocton, Annjie (Mark) Nowak, Green Bay. Three sons, Michael Preisler, Appleton, Robert Preisler, Colorado, Nick (Amanda) Preisler, Minnesota. Three brothers, Stephen Preisler, Green Bay, Frank Preisler, Hortonville, Frederick (Tina) Preisler, Hortonville. Two sisters, Rosemary (James) Nighorn, Green Bay and Anne-Marie Driessen, Michigan. Ten grandchildren, Emma, Erika, Luke, Izabel, Emily, Michael, Allison, Ashley, Haley, Sandy Jr., and his beloved grand dogs Zoe & Mya. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Vonnie and his father Stephen. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.     She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her father, Philip; her sister Dora; mother and father-in-law, Sidney and Marcella Hoffman; and brothers-in-law, Paul Visocky and Bill Hoffman.
    The Mass of Christian Burial for Linda will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Stephensville, with Fr. John Kastenholz and Sister Pauline Feiner officiating. Family and friends may call at CHURCH Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again at church on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
    Linda was a loving and devoted mother. She always had a friendly smile and a good word to everyone. She had many friends and was liked by all who knew her.

    John A. Van Handel, 42 of Omro, died Tuesday May 29, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Appleton September 18, 1969, son of Norbert and the late Betty (Fuhrmann) Van Handel. John married Brenda Ziemer on June 7, 1997.
    John enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, and fishing, he loved to travel with his family in Wisconsin and around the country, visiting many family favorite destinations. He had a love for his dogs, especially Jetta, who was with John Tuesday morning, and died shortly after because of injuries sustained.
    John is survived by his wife of 14 years, Brenda; daughter, Cherise (fiancé William Golder); father, Norbert, Winchester; three brothers, Gerald Van Handel (fiancée Susan Dorton), Appleton, James Van Handel, Clayton, and Joseph (Margaret) Van Handel, Hortonville; five nieces and nephews, Michael, Amanda, Adam, Emily, and Annie; and a great niece, Juevia. He was preceded in death by his mother; son, Curtis, and a brother, Jeffrey.
    Funeral service for John will be 7:00 PM on Tuesday June 5, 2012 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Mike Huff of Crossroads Foursquare Church, Menasha officiating.     Amanda Marie Van Wychen, 32, Kaukauna, passed away on July 27, 2014. Amanda was born on June 9, 1982 to Tom Vanden Langenberg and Lisa Van Handel. She was a graduate of Kimberly High School. On May 22, 2006 she married Mark Van Wychen in Appleton Wisconsin. Amanda was a loving mother to her children and loved time with her family more than anything. She also enjoyed listening to music and watching movies.
    Amanda will be sadly missed by her husband Mark, children: Alex, Brady and Mariah, her parents: Tom Vanden Langenberg and Lisa Van Handel, grandparents: LaRose Vanden Langenberg and Clarence and Mary Van Handel as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her sister Michaela Vanden Langenberg and her paternal grandfather Bernard Vanden Langenberg.
    Funeral Services for Amanda will be at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 E. Wallace Street in Combined Locks on Friday August 1, 2014 at 6:00 pm with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday at the church from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Seymour.     Shawn Lee Young, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 10, 2017, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on August 17, 1984.     He is survived by his son Blake Young; father Darwin Young; mother Diana (Wayne) Van Straten; siblings Vanessa Young and Jackson Van Straten; niece, Rose Young; significant other, Sammi Suprise and her daughter, Kailee Suprise; maternal grandparents, Robert (Rosie) Weiland; and God-parents, Christine (Richard) Lautenschlager. He is further survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
    Shawn was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Abraham (Ester) Young and step-grandparents, Gerald (Arlene) Van Straten.
    Mass of Christian Burial for Shawn will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Church, Mackville with Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17th from 4-8 p.m. at the Borchardt Moder Funeral Home, Shiocton and also at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Town of Bovina.
    The family would like to thank the Ellington Fire Department and First Responders.
    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established
