    Obituary:
Eileen E. Long (Weyenberg), 87, Neenah, passed away peacefully Friday, September 21, 2012, at her home from cancer. Eileen was born December 19, 1924, in Appleton, daughter of James and Agatha (West) Weyenberg. On January 19, 1943, she married Dennis J. Long Sr. who preceded her in death January 30, 1982. She assisted in their family business, Long's Milk Service, for many years, while raising their five children. Eileen loved to cook and bake, making homemade pies for her family and later in life extended her love of baking by working at local bakeries so others could enjoy her wonderful pies. Her children and grandchildren were a source of great pride to her and she especially loved spending time with them and sharing in all of their accomplishments. She kept a meticulously manicured lawn and flowers and did a wonderful job at it until prohibited by her health. Eileen was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah, for over 60 years, and also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Eileen is survived by her five children: Judith (Thomas) Schoepel, Greendale, WI; Carol (Michael) Bogan, Neenah; Joann Stratton, Neenah; Dennis (Patti) Long, Oshkosh; and Timothy (Sarah) Long, Bergland, MI; 18 grandchildren: Scott (Jennifer), Patrick (Elizabeth), and Kevin (Paige) Schoepel, Christine (Curt) Gerald, David, Michael, and Mark (Jessica) Bogan, James and Curt Stratton, Jeffrey Long, Allison (Justin) Pease, Daniel, Andrew, and Patrick Long, Whitney (Derek) Fisher, and Kelvin, Courtney, and MaKenzie Long; 19 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Wallace, Combined Locks; a brother, Arnold (Barbara) Derks Jr., Appleton; and many nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eileen was further preceded in death by her stepfather, Arnold Derks Sr.; a very special granddaughter, Kathy Bogan; and three brothers: Robert (Leona), Everett (Wanda), and infant James Weyenberg; and a sister, Dorothy (Arthur) Jahnke.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established for St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Eileen's family wishes to express a sincere thank you to all of the caregivers with ThedaCare Hospice, HomeInstead Senior Care, Dr. John Swanson, and Kessler Funeral Home for all of their help and support.
Mom, we will love you forever but find peace in knowing that you are in Heaven with Dad and Kathy.
    An Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
