    Mrs. Peter Henke
    Funeral services and a requiem Mass for Mrs. Peter Henke (Cora Vanderloop) were held at St. Anne's Catholic Church at Stanley on Wednesday, June 5, 1957 at 9:30 a.m., with Father Edmund Cramer officiating. Burial took place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Stanley.
    Mrs. Henke passed away suddenly at her home in the town of Worden on Sunday, June 2nd at 4:45 p.m. She was born at Holland, Wisconsin, on July 13, 1893 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vanderloop and when very young came to make her home in the Stanley country where her parents located in farming.
    She attended High School at Stanley and was engaged as a rural school teacher for a few years. On January 7, 1920 she was united in marriage to Peter Henke at St. Anne's Catholic Church at Stanley, who with 4 children survive her: Lucy (Mrs. Bernard Haas) of Cadott, Evelyn (Mrs. Melvin Haas) of Thorp, Phyllis (Mrs. Marlin Johnson) od Stanley and Donald at home. A daughter, Geraldine, passed away in 1941.
    She is survived also by her mother, Mrs. Vanderloop and five sisters: Minnie (Mrs. John Capaul) of Cornell, Agnes (Mrs. Arthur Jacques) of Thorp, Tillie (Mrs. Ray Brown) of Cedarburg, Henrietta (Mrs. Herbert Bossler) of Port Washington, Rose (Mrs. Henry Frese) of Thorp; and two brothers, Sylvester of Stanley and Wilfred of Fredonia, Wis., and 10 grandchildren.
    Six nephews served as pallbearers: Bernard Hoks of Menasha, Raymond Capaul and Harold Capaul of Cornell, Duane Jacques of Milwaukee, Robert Capaul of Minneapolis and Roger Frese of Thorp.
    Out of town relatives attending were: Henry Hoks, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hoks, Menasha; Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Vanderloop, Fredonia; Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bossler, Port Washington; Ray Brown, Cedarbug; Mr. and Mrs. John Capaul and daughter, Mary Jane, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Capual, Harold Capaul and Mrs. Eldon Johnson, all of Cornell; Mr. and Mrs. Wm.     EAU CLAIRE - Lucy A. Haas, 91, of Cadott died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
    She was born Oct. 18, 1920 in rural Stanley to Peter and Cora (nee Vanderloop) Henke where she attended Garfield and St. Ann's grade schools before graduation from Stanley High School in 1938. For several years Lucy was employed at Blue Moon Cheese Co. in Thorp.
    On June 26, 1947, she married Bernard J. Haas in Stanley and they made their home in Cadott. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1975.
    She had a great love for her family and enjoyed reading, crocheting and keeping up-to-date scrapbooks and records of family genealogy.
    Lucy is survived by: her four sons, Vernon (Corinne) of Cadott, Earl (Lisa) of Harrisburg, Pa., Delbert (Debra) of Elkhart Lake, and Norbert (Sheila) of Iron Mountain, Mich; five grandchildren, Karen (Chad) Rindy of Colfax, Dr. Angela (Jeff) Bojar of Buena Vista, Colo., Faye Haas of Harrisburg, Pa., Kate (Gregg) Nelson of Cranford, N.J., and Melissa (Corey) Munger of Sheboygan; two great-grandsons, Zachary Rindy and Colby Munger; a sister, Phyllis Johnson of Stanley; a sister-in-law, Mary Henke of Stanley; two step-grandchildren, Anthony (Natalie) Rossi and their children Ella Grace and Samuel of Felch, Mich., and Jennifer (Jason) Axley and their children Noah, Dominic and Seth of Pembine; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Donald Henke; two sisters, Evelyn Haas and Geraldine Henke; two brothers-in-law, Marlin Johnson and Melvin Haas; and one grandson, Mark Haas. Her family would like to acknowledge and thank the numerous caregivers who were involved in her life over the many years. Lucy will always be remembered for her love of life, her gentle nature and her inquisitive mind. She enjoyed being with and interacting with people of all ages and her smile will be missed.
    Private family services will be held at a later date and interment will be in Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, is serving the family. Condolences may be made at www.cremationsociety-wi.com.

    Evelyn Haas, 79, 100 N. Wilson, Thorp, Clark County, WI., died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, 1:00 a.m. at Oakbrook Health and Rehab Center, Thorp.
    Evelyn was born Dec. 12, 1921 at Stanley, WI to Peter and Cora (Vanderloop) Henke. She graduated from Stanley High School in 1940. Evelyn married Melvin Haas June 12, 1946 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Stanley. She had worked at Blue Moon Cheese in Thorp for about 6 years, also was employed at Dr. Connolly's office for 6 years. She lived and farmed in the Town of Worden for 30 years and in 1977 they became residents of Thorp. She was a member of St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp. Surviving are her husband Melvin Haas of Thorp; three sons: Ronald (Janis), Larry (Bonnie), Marvin (Ann); two daughters: Arlene (Dale) Paul, Joan (Norm) Maier, all the children are of Thorp, 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Lucy (Bernard) Haas of Cadott and Phyllis (Gene) Johnson of Stanley. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 great-grandson, 1 brother Don Henke and 1 sister Geraldine Henke.
    Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp, with Rev. John Puerner officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 25 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Thorp Funeral Home, with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary Service.

    Donald H. Henke passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 1998 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wis.
    He was born in the town of Worden, Clark County on June 7, 1923, the son of Peter and Cora (Vanderloop) Henke. He grew up in the area and attended Garfield School. He graduated from Stanley High School in 1940. He was united in marriage to Mary Von Haden on June 7, 1958 in Augusta, Wis. They lived and farmed in the town of Worden until 1986 when they retires and moved to Stanley, Wis.
    He was a town of Worden supervisor for six years and served on the Stanley City Council for the past nine years. He belonged to Holy Family Church and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. Don was a great source of historical information and knew how to tell a great story.
    Don and Mary recently returned from a Bahamas cruise celebrating their 40 years together.
    He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Stanley; five sons. Bill (Brenda) of Thorp, Bob (Paula) of Stanley, Tom of Chippewa Falls, Gary (Paulette) of Thorp, and Like of Stanley; one daughter, Patricia (Mrs. Ron) Potaczek of Thorp; his grandchildren, Kevin, Amanda, and Chad Henke, Ashley, Keith and Lynn Henke, Cora, Carlene, Catherine, Cindy, Carissa and Adam Potaczek; three sisters, Lucy Haas of Cadott, Phyllis (Gene) Johnson of Stanley, and Evelyn (Melvin) Haas of Thorp.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Geraldine; a brother-in-law, Bernard Haas; and grandchildren Melissa and Craig Henke.
    Nephews serving as pallbearers include Vernon Haas, Dennis Johnson, Dale Johnson, Dean Johnson, Ron Haas and Larry Haas.
    Funeral services for Donald Henke will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stanley, with Rev. Robert Nelson and Rev. John Puerner officiating.
    Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, with a parish rosary recited at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Henke, Geraldine (8 MAR 1930 - 13 JUL 1941)
    Geraldine Henke, the eleven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Henke of the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield on July 13, 1941, after a three week's illness.
    She was born in the town of Worden on March 8, 1930, and attended the Garfield School where she will be sadly missed by her schoolmates.
    Besides her parents she is survived by one brother, Donald; three sisters, Lucy, Evelyn and Phyllis Mae and her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Vanderloop.
    The funeral services were held at St. Ann's Church at Stanley on July 16th at nine o'clock with Rev. Paul
    Pitzenberger officiating and interment following in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Murnie Anderson, Neilus Larson, Norman Martlock, Edward Micke, Bernard Haas and Clement Gruba.
