    See Image Melvin J. Biese, 204 N. Wilson St., KimberlyAge 76, died peacefully Thursday, April 5, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Hospit al with his family by his side. He was born June 28, 1924 in Hollandtow n, son of the late Henry and Matilda (Van Vreede) Biese. On May 19, 1949 M el married the former Dorothy Meulemans at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Wri ghtstown. The couple resided in the home Mel built in Kimberly their enti re married lives. He was employed for 40 years at Hofkens Building and Sup ply. Mel was a World War II Army veteran and had served in the European Th eatre. He was a carpenter and craftsman and took great pride in the many h omes he built for people in Kimberly. He enjoyed boating, fishing, puzzle s, and playing sheepshead. He was very proud of his family. Mel was a memb er of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, was past President of the Catho lic War Vets, and was a member of the William Verhagen Post 60 of the Amer ican Legion in Kimberly. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Doroth y, Kimberly; four sons and three daughters-in-law: Dale Biese, Dan Bies e, Dewey (Cathy) Biese, all of Kimberly; Dave (Pat) Biese, Kaukauna; Debb ie Biese, Darboy; two daughters and sons-in-law: Carol (Tony) Cappaert, Ho llandtown; Cathy (John) Barnes, De Pere; 10 grandchildren: Justin (fianc ee Jessica) and Lucas Biese; Jeremy, Christy, Caitlin, and Rylie Biese; An dy and Melissa (fiancee Ed) Cappaert, Matthew and Kristy Barnes; a broth er and sister-in-law, Bob (Gretchen) Biese, Combined Locks; a sister and b rother-in-law, Grace ("Buzz") Garvey, Freedom. He is further survived by h is wife's family: Ken (Pearl) Meulemans, Denver, Colorado; Arlyn (Pat) Meu lemans, Fond du Lac; Gerald (Doris) Meulemans, West Bend; Roy (Bonnie) Meu lemans, Oshkosh; Rosemary Meulemans, Wrightstown; numerous nieces and neph ews, godchildren: Lee Garvey, June VanAsten, Judy Vosters, Mark Meuleman s, and Kris Engstrom. Mel was preceded in death by three sisters and two b rothers-in-law: Beatrice VanEpern, Therese (Eugene) VanDeurzen, Rosemary ( Jack) Mulry; two brothers-in-law: Vince Meulemans and Donald Meulemans. Fu neral services will be held at noon Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Churc h, Kimberly, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken and Fr. Carl Meulemans concelebrat ing. Complete military rites will be conducted by the William Verhagen Po st 60 of the American Legion immediately following services at church. Bur ial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Boettcher Fami ly Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4-8 p.m. Friday (TODA Y) and again after 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until the corte ge leaves for the church. William Verhagen Post 60 will meet at 7 p.m. Fri day and the evening will conclude with a parish prayer service at 8 p. m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.We will miss our loving, caring, and patient husband, father, and grandfat her.

    David W. Biese, Kaukauna, age 53, died peacefully on Friday May 31, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born August 8, 1959 in Appleton son of Melvin and Dorothy (Meulemans) Biese. Dave graduated from Kimberly High School and worked for 30 years for the Kimberly Mill (Repap). On August 9, 1996 Dave married Pat Van Eperen at the Calumet County Park in Hilbert. He loved taking road trips, golfing, camping, going to the casino and being with friends and family. Dave loved woodworking, he made furniture for family and friends - he was exceptional at it. He was also a big Packer fan, and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church - Holy Name, Kimberly.
    Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Pat, Kaukauna; 3 stepchildren: Michael (Angelene) Van Eperen, Colorado, Louis Nettekoven, Green Bay and Tohnja (Dave) Roepcke, Chilton; 9 step-grandchildren; 1 great step- grandchild, that all loved to call him grandpa; his mother, Dorothy Biese, Kimberly; 2 sisters: Carol (Tony) Cappaert, Kaukauna and Cathy (John) Barnes, DePere; 3 brothers: Dale Biese, Dan (Terri) Biese, and Dewey Biese, all of Kimberly. He is further survived by his wife's family: Gary (JoAnn) Van Eperen, Kaukauna, Sharon Sherman, Florida, Barb (Al) De Coster, Kaukauna, Laura (Robert) Jansen, Sheboygan, James "Epe" (Kim) Van Eperen, Little Chute; numerous nieces and nephews.
    Dave was preceded in death by his father, Melvin. He is further preceded in death by his wife's family, her father, Roger Van Eperen, her mother, Dolores Van Eperen and her step-mother, Norma Van Eperen.
    Funeral Service for Dave will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Carl Meulemans officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
    The family wishes to thank, Dr. Al Cherkasky and everyone at Aurora, Dr. Bellg from Encircle Health and the staff at Appleton Medical Center for their compassionate care of Dave.
