    Van Zeeland, Geraldine P. (nee Gloudemans) formerly of 1019 Sanitorium R d. KaukaunaAge 86, died peacefully Sunday evening, March 24, 2002 at St. Joseph Resid ence, New London. She was born September 25, 1915 in Little Chute; daught er of Martin and Martha (Vandenberg) Gloudemans. She graduated from St. Jo hn High School and was employed by the Power Company in Appleton. She marr ied Alois Van Zeeland on September 5, 1942. He preceded her in death in 19 96. Together they owned and operated the Van Zeeland Nursery for 47 yea rs until their retirement in 1979. She was a lifelong member of St. John C atholic Church, Little Chute. She was a member of the St. John Choir, t he Altar Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She enjoyed spendi ng time at the cottage and fishing with Alois and other family members. S he liked crocheting, but she mostly enjoyed music, singing and playing t he piano. She and Alois celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1992.
    Survivors include four daughters: Karen (Floyd) De Bruin, New London; Ali ce (Bill) Ziehm, Waterford; Ellen (John) Southard, Shawnee, Kansas; Elai ne Van De Hey, New London; 12 grandchildren: Julie (Michael) Monfils, Bloo mington, Minnesota; Patricia (Michael) Kempinger, Rochester, Minnesota; St even (Agustina) De Bruin, Milton-Freewater, Oregon; Lisa (Todd) Wolfgra m, Seymour; Lori White, Appleton; Tracy (Gene) Wiesehuegel, Hartland; Will iam Ziehm Jr., Waterford; Andrea and Jamie Southard, Shawnee, Kansas; Jes se (Carrie) Lenz, Cecil; Kari Lenz, Shiocton; Robert Van De Hey, New Londo n; a sister, Elaine Doyle, LaHabre, California; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Gl oudemans, Little Chute; Julia Gloudemans, Appleton; Sister Cecilia Van Zee land, Lake Zurich, Illinois; Ann Schneider, Sherwood; Donata Wolfgram, Mil waukee; Ione Brecklin, Little Chute; Myra (Russell) Dercks, Little Chut e; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at S t. John Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Robert Vandenberg officiat ing. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Verku ilen Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 until 10:30 a. m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.The family would like to thank the caregivers at St. Joseph Residence f or their kindness and compassion they gave Geraldine for the past few year s.

"Oh, she's just gett ing older," we told ourselves, our long suit was denial. The haunted lo ok for what once was the searching, asking, pacing, the thief had all t he cards in hand, with time against Mom racing. Mom tried her best with wh at she had, and Lord knows we did too, but the thief just took control a nd stole each bit of her we knew.     Reginald J. Gloudemans, Town of MenashaAge 84, died on Saturday, January 6, 2001, at his home. Reginald was bo rn on November 4, 1916, in Little Chute, son of the late Martin and Mart ha (Vandenberg) Gloudemans. He married Julia Van Zeeland on July 21, 194 5, and they have enjoyed 55 years of marriage. He served in the United Sta tes Army during World War II from April 9, 1941, to September 25, 194 5. He was overseas with the 135th Medical Regiment for 34 months in the So uthwest Pacific Area. Reginald was employed as a plumbing inspector for t he City of Appleton for over 19 years, until his retirement in 1973, and w as a past president of the Wisconsin Society of Plumbing Inspectors. He w as also one of the founders of the East Central Wisconsin Plumbing Inspect ors Association. Reginald was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Chur ch in Appleton since 1953. He is a Life Member of Council 607 Knights of C olumbus, a member of American Legion Post 38, and a member of the 135th Me dical Regiment Association. Reginald is survived by his wife Julia; four c hildren, Paul (Donna) Gloudemans, Flanders, New Jersey; Louise (James) Zel ler, Appleton; Jeff (Jean) Gloudemans, Kokomo, Indiana; Eileen (Douglas) T homas, Appleton; two sisters, Geraldine Van Zeeland, Little Chute; Elai ne Doyle, La Habra, California; six grandchildren, Diana (Mark) Wolff, Lau ra Zeller, Chad and Ross Thomas, Kathryn and James Gloudemans; and five si sters-in-law, Dorothy Gloudemans, Sister Cecilia Van Zeeland, Ann Schneide r, Donata Wolfgram and Myra (Russell) Dercks. He is further survived by ma ny nieces and nephews. Reginald was preceded in death by a brother, Quinti n, and a sister, Evelyn. Reginald's Funeral Service will be held at 11 a. m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2001, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 Ea st Fremont Street, Appleton, with Father Robert Karuhn officiating. Entomb ment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the fu neral home on Tuesday, January 9, from 6 until 8 p.m., and again at the ch urch from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A Prayer Service will be he ld at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Marian June Pickett, 74, of Bemidji died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
    The family of Marian Pickett mourns her passing and will celebrate her life with a mass of Christian burial on Saturday, November 12, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji, Minnesota. Visitation will be4 - 7 pm Friday, prayer service and the sharing of memories will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday, November 11 at the Cease Family Funeral Home, 2807 Irvine Avenue, in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
    In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Bemidji Food Shelf or the St. Philip's Clothing Depot.
    Marian was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Pickett, brother Robert Vandenberg, and sister Jean Leitermann. Her memory and legacy are carried on by her daughter Carolyn (Darren) Olson and two granddaughters, Ainsley and Kaitlyn Olson, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; her brother, Roy Vandenberg, of Little Chute, Wisconsin as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Marian was born to Barbara and Sylvestor Vandenberg in Little Chute, Wisconsin on June 11, 1937 where she was raised. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dominican College in Racine, Wisconsin. Marian taught high school English in Medford and Brown Deer, Wisconsin for five years, and then attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin, where she received a Masters of Arts degree in English. While there she was a Head House Fellow for the student residential facilities. After graduating, she became the Associate Dean of Students at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, where she cherished the opportunity to coordinate activities, mentor students, and collaborate with faculty members.
    While at Gustavus Adolphus, Marian met her future husband, Robert Pickett. They were married on August 15, 1972. Together, they lived in St. Peter, Minnesota; Rolla, Missouri; and Little Rock, Arkansas before moving to Bemidji where they lived happily for 35 years.
    "Aunt Merts" and "Granmere", as she was lovingly called, found delight in many activities, but her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughters, Ainsley, and Kaitlyn. Her favorite pastimes included golfing, reading, and swimming. In her younger years she enjoyed cross-country skiing in the beautiful North Country winters. And always, Marian was a keeper of stories, sharing tales with friends and family that will be remembered and cherished always. Marian also particularly enjoyed travelling. She recalled numerous memorable trips, including a college adventure to Europe, leading a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, honeymooning in the Maritime Provinces in Canada, and many trips across the United States visiting friends and relatives.
    Marian rediscovered her teaching career by leading confirmation classes at St. Philip's for many years. She enjoyed leading the young parishioners of St. Philip's to a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the Catholic faith. Marian also devoted many years to volunteering at the St. Philip's Clothing Depot were she developed many dear friendships.
    Marian was an intelligent, strong, compassionate woman, whose caring nature will be greatly missed by her family, friends and those in the community that benefited from her passion. Marian will also be missed and lovingly remembered by those whom she touched in the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) community; Marian was very proud of her 32 years of sobriety. She loved going to AA meetings and being a strong presence to other recovering alcoholics, as well as finding strength from those who were on the journey with her. Her legacy also lives on in the Alano Building, for which she played an integral part in the development and construction.
    Active casketbearers will be Greg Vandenberg, Doug Vandenberg, Mike Leitermann, Katie Leitermann, Peter Leitermann, Rebecca Speares, John Bailey and Kurt Junger. Honorary casketbearer will Jo Friedman.

    Marian was born to Sylvester "Fuzzy" and Barbara [Peeters] Vandenberg in Little Chute on June 11, 1937. She graduated from St. John's High School in 1955. She received a B.A. degree at Dominican College in Racine and a M.A. degree in English at the U.W. Madison. She became Associate Dean of Students at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Mn. While at Gustavus Adolphus, she met her husband Robert Pickett, and they were married August 15, 1972.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Pickett, brother Robert Vandenberg, sister Jean Leitermann, and her parents.
    She is survived by her daughter Caroline [Darren] Olson, and two granddaughters Ainsley and Kaitlyn of Grand Rapids, Mn. She is also survived by her brother Roy [Sharee] Vandenberg, Little Chute, and sister-in-law Yvonne Vandenberg, Appleton, and brother-in-law Norbert Leitermann, St. Paul's Home, Kaukauna.     Patricia Louise Flanagan Baisch, age 85, Kaukauna, passed peacefully on August 2, 2010 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. She was born in Appleton on June 22, 1925, the daughter of Matthias and Anna (Vandenberg) Schaefer. Patricia graduated from Appleton West High School. She worked for Wisconsin Telephone Company as a service representative prior to marrying David J. Flanagan on August 28, 1948. They enjoyed twenty-four years of marriage, until his sudden death in 1972.
    In addition to caring for her six children, Patricia worked for the Kaukauna Community Hospital as a Medical Records Librarian for twenty-four years, after receiving certification from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Nineteen years after David's death, Patricia married Stephen J. Baisch on February 10, 1990 and enjoyed twenty years of marriage together.
    Patricia is survived by her husband: Stephen Baisch, Kaukauna; five children: Michael (Vivian) Flanagan, Wrightstown; Kathy (Tom) Kilmartin, Newburgh, Indiana; Patty (Joe) Berghuis, Kaukauna; Dennis (Stephanie) Flanagan, Farmington, Maine and Dan Flanagan, Eagle River; eight grandchildren: Garret Flanagan; Matt, Mark and Katie Berghuis; Molly, Abigail and Ryan Flanagan; and Max Flanagan; two step-children: Jim (Karen) Baisch and Dr. Tim (Liz) Baisch; eight step-grandchildren: Rachel, Stephanie, Ryan, Joe, Stephen and Stephen Michael, Eric and Alicia; five step-great grandchildren and a half-sister: Colleen Rumble, Hanahan, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law: Betty Flanagan and Tess (Tom)Roberts.     The funeral liturgy for Patricia will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Father Tom Pomeroy and Father Jack Mullarkey will be officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the mass at the parish cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 8:30 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
    Over this past year we have been surrounded by the love and support of so many. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Home Instead, especially Phyllis, Nancy and Melissa; to the staff at Appleton Health Care Center, especially Autumn, Paula, Sandy and Suzette.     Nancy Rollo, Little Chute, 66, passed on to the loving arms of our Lord on August 13, 2017 after a long, brave fight with cancer, surrounded by the people she loved. Nancy was born on September 7, 1950 at St. Elizabeth Hospital to the late Quintin and Dorothy (Kerkhof) Gloudemans.
    She was known for her tremendous positive attitude, and her loving and caring personality. She had a selfless nature and fought valiantly through her final years with cancer for her family and friends, whom she cherished. She positively impacted the lives of many people as a long-time manager at Thrivent Financial and Thrivent Federal Credit Union, where she retired in 2012. Nancy was also known for her phenomenal cooking and love of reading and music. Nancy and family were lifelong members of St. John Parish in Little Chute, WI.
    Nancy is survived by her husband Gary Rollo, whom she married on July 10, 1970 and with whom she recently celebrated their 47th anniversary of wedded love. She is also survived by her children Cory Rollo of Little Chute, Katie (Jeff) Bishop of Pulaski, and Kelly Rollo of Combined Locks; along with her step-grandchildren, Bryce and Brooklyn Bishop.
    She is further survived by her five brothers and sisters: Lynn Scanlan, Neil (Margaret) Gloudemans, Daniel (Linda) Gloudemans, Mary Gloudemans M.D., and Michael (Denise) Gloudemans; along with her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Margaret (Carl) Vosters, Mary (Lee) Hietpas, Richard Rollo, Rose Rollo and Sister Marguerite Rollo; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she all considered family.
    Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Quintin and Dorothy Gloudemans; her father- and mother-in-law, Louis and Minnie Rollo; brother-in-law, Leo Rollo; and sister-in-law, Anna Mae Rollo.
    Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.     APPLETON - The family of an Appleton woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in New Jersey this week is devastated.
    Lori Coenen, 46, was found by police on a Glassboro, N.J., roadway at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. She suffered fatal injuries after she was struck by her boyfriend's pickup truck. Police have not said if Coenen was walking on the roadway when she was killed or if she died trying to get out of the pickup truck.
    Lisa Wolfgram, Coenen's sister, said family members are struggling to cope with her sudden loss. Coenen leaves behind three children: Kurtis White, 27; Stephanie Meulemans, 20; and Keyarra Meulemans, 7.
    "This is just an awful, awful, cruel way to lose her," Wolfgram said.
    Coenen was in New Jersey visiting her boyfriend, 46-year-old Scott Jahnel of Pickerel, Wis., who travels the country working for a commercial construction company and was working in New Jersey at the time of the crash. Wolfgram said Coenen took long weekend trips to visit Jahnel whenever she could.
    Coenen was a certified nursing assistant and was taking classes through Rasmussen College to become a registered nurse. She was employed at Willow Lane Assisted Living in Appleton.
    "She was on the dean's list every semester, which she was very proud of," Wolfgram said.
    One of Coenen's favorite pastimes was riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Wolfgram said her sister loved The Grateful Dead, and visited the site of Woodstock in White Lake, New York, the day before she died.

    "She was just a very free-spirited girl. She would give her heart, her sleeve, anything to anybody to help them," Wolfgram said. "She was always there for many of us.
    "The biggest thing we are going to hang onto is her laugh - she had a very contagious laugh."
    Family and friends started a GoFundMe page Thursday to raise money for funeral expenses. Coenen did not have life insurance.

    Funeral services for Coenen have not been scheduled.
    Glassboro police are investigating the crash.
    According to a statement released by the Glassboro Police Department, Jahnel left the scene of the crash, but returned a short time later. He told police Coenen jumped from his pickup truck and was struck.
    Jahnel has been charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a fatal crash and endangering an injured victim. He is in custody at the Salem County Jail. His bail was set at $100,000.

    Lori Coenen, from Appleton, WI, died unexpectedly on July 8, 2015 at the age of 46.
    Lori is survived by her parents, LeRoy Coenen (Sandy Vandenberg), and Alice and William Ziehm; her children, Kurtis White (Vanessa Harrier), Stephanie Meulemans (Steve Tessen) and Keyarra Meulemans (father Robbie); her siblings, Lisa Wolfgram, Tracy Wiesehuegel (Gene), and William Ziehm Jr.; her niece and nephews, Whitney Wolfgram, Wyatt Wolfgram, Andrew Wiesehuegel and Austin Wiesehuegel; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and too many friends too mention.
    Lori was a devoted mother of three beautiful children. She enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and touring on her Harley which she called Black Betty. She was going to Nursing School and working at Willow Lane Assisted Living. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
    A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, July 18th at St. Therese Parish in Appleton, WI. 213 E. Wisconsin Ave. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. with Visitation following from 11 a.m. -3 p.m.

    Leitermann, Anna M.Anna M. Leitermann, of Appleton, age 17, died unexpectedly Friday, July 1 6, 2004 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born the daught er of David and Mary (Jansky) Leitermann on June 25, 1987 in Appleton.Anna was a fun-filled young woman with a zest for life. She had a smile f or everyone and touched many with her kindness, at home, school, and wor k. Her sunny personality would brighten any room.
