    Obituary:
    Edward Jansen, 42, died Saturday morning at Appleton after an illness of several months. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Celia. Gladys and Alvina and two sons, Norbert and Ralph. His mother, Mrs. Albert Jansen also survives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at nine o'clock at St. John church with the Rev. John J. Sprangers in charge. Burial will take place in the Catholic cemetery.

    Alvina "Cookie" Neller, nee Jansen, age 87, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008. Cookie was born in Little Chute on April 2, 1920, the daughter of Edward and Elsie Jansen, and lived most of her life in Appleton. She was one of the original curlers at the Appleton Curling Club.
    She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Michael) Linder, of Grayslake, IL. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Lisa (Michael) Zimmer, Gregory (Mary) Johnson, Sara (Brent) Kimbel and William Schroeder; and three great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband George (Red) Siebers, second husband ventriloquist Robert Neller, her son George Siebers Jr. and daughter Carol (Charles) Schroeder. Also preceding her in death were sisters: Gladys Marsh, twin sister Eleanor, Ceil Kneizic, and two brothers: Ralph Jansen and Norbert Jansen.
    The memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, with Father Gerald Falk as celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of mass.

    Gary P. Jansen, 61, of De Pere, passed away on Saturday October 11, 2014 at a local hospital. The son of the late Norbert and Marie (Kempen) Jansen was born March 17, 1953 in Green Bay. He was a graduate of Abbot Pennings High School and Fox Valley Vocational School. He married the former Mary Ann Mennen in De Pere on April 15, 1978.
    Gary loved the outdoors, fishing, snowmobiling, and his time at the family cottage on the Bay. Gary considered nature as his Cathedral. He and Mary Ann loved to travel and he especially loved his time vacationing in the Rocky Mountains. He loved to "putter" and wanted to spend his time "puttering in the shed". Gary was employed at Stock Lumber and was currently employed at Wood Port Doors. Gary had a deep love of music and shared that interest with many.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, siblings Ron Jansen, Marilyn (Tom) Knuth, Dave Jansen, Jeanne (John) Valentine, Jeff (Dee) Jansen and Carol Mindermann, brothers-in-law, Peter (Angie) Mennen and Paul Mennen, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Marie (Kempen) Jansen and his brother, Peter Jansen.
    Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday October 15, 2014. Betty was born in Appleton on May 9, 1952, d aughter of the late Joel and Gladys (Jansen) Marsh, Sr. She graduated fr om Little Chute High School, and received training in surgical technolo gy from Fox Valley Technical College. For over twenty years, she work ed in that capacity at the Appleton Medical Center. On May 2, 1987, Bet ty married David Linskens at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna; he s urvives. For the past few months, she had been employed at the College Ave nue Piggly Wiggly in the deli department - a job she truly loved. Betty w as a faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna, and wi ll be remembered by all for her love of gardening, singing with her famil y, and appreciating Lindsay play the piano.

    Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and sister who put t he needs of others above those of her own. Even on the day of her death, h er family lovingly arranged for Betty's organs to be donated to share t he gift of life with others whose lives were in danger of being lost.
    Betty remembered everyone and kept in touch with her family and friends re gularly - she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
