    Mr. and Mrs. John Juckem and daughter, Priscilla, and Mrs. Anna Greuel, left Sunday for Bristol., S. D. to attend the funeral of Mrs. Greuel's brother. Alfred Wattier. They expect to visit relatives and friends in Dakota and Minnesota before returning home.

    Obituary:
    John A. Juckem Jr., 75, a Chilton farmer, died suddenly early Saturday afternoon at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Appleton, after a short illiness. he had been admitted to the hospital for surgery Friday. A native of Brown County, he was born May 20, 1880 at Hollandtown, Wis., and moved to Chilton in 1887 with his parents, the late Mr. and mrs. John M. Juckem Sr. On Nov. 20, 1907, he was married to Miss Sylvia Greuel at Holy Trinity Church at Jericho. Since their marriage, the couple operated a farm on the north edge of Chilton, Mr. Juckem was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church. Surviviors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Gervase (Evelyn) Graney of Neenah, Mrs. Lionel (priscilla Roach of Town Chilton, and Mrs. Fred (Vivian) Roesch of Milwaukee; a son, LeRoy, at home, and six grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and Peter, of Town Chilton, and six sisters, Mrs. Mary Hartzheim and Miss Emma Juckem of Chilton, mrs. John Kolbe of Town Charlestown, Mrs. John Wolsinger of Darboy and Miss Clara Juckem and Mrs. Jacob Rammer, Sheboygan. One son and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Chilton, with the Rev. Joseph Bartelme, pastor, the celebrant of the requiem mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the hour of services. A parish vigil will be held there at 8 o'clock tonight.

    Priscilla M. Roach, age 97, of Chilton, died on July 31, 2009, at Plymouth Care Center in Plymouth where she had lived for the last 8 months. She was born April 29, 1912, in Chilton, daughter of the late John and Sylvia (Greuel) Juckem. She married Lionel Roach on November 14, 1942, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1996. They had farmed together on the family homestead in the Town of Chilton until retiring in 1973. Priscilla enjoyed playing cards, traveling and gardening, and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton.
    She is survived by her sister, Vivian Roesch, Brookfield; nieces and nephews, Jane (Anthony) Woelfel, Sheboygan Falls, WI; James (Marilyn) Juckem, Chilton, WI; Julie (Ronald) Schwartz, Sheboygan, WI; John (Liz) Roesch, Pickens, SC; Thomas (Cheryl) Roesch, Waukesha, WI; Gary Roesch, Morrison, CO; Greg (Jane) Roesch, Hartford, WI, and Linda (Ted) Honeck, Pewaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel; a sister, Evelyn Meehl; a brother, LeRoy Juckem; brothers-in-law, Gervase Graney, Urban Meehl, and Fred Roesch; and sister-in-law, Frances Juckem.
    Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, when family prayers will be held. Wieting Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
    The family would like to thank the staff of the Plymouth Care Center and Dr. James Kuplic for all of the loving care they provided to Priscilla.

    LeRoy, the ten-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Juckem of Plymouth is a patient at St. Nicholas hospital, where he underwent an operation for relief from appendicitis.

    Obituary:
    Age 59, passed away at Calumet Memorial Hospital Thursday at 4:10 a.m. after a short illness. He was born at Chilton, February 20, 1916 the son of the late John and Sylvia Greuel Juckem. He attended St. Mary Parochial School, Chilton High School and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Mr. Juckem lived and farmed in the Chilton area all of his life. He was a member of the Holy NameSociety of St.Mary Church in Chilton. He married Frances Binsfeld September 25, 1940 at St. John the Baptist Church in St. John, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Jane Marie) Woelfel of Sheboygan Falls, Miss Juliette of Chilton; a son, James of Chilton; 1 grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Urban (Evelyn) Meehl of Appleton, Mrs. Lionel (Percilla Roach of Route 1, Chilton, Mrs. Fred (Vivian) Roesch of Brookfield Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home in Chilton and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton with Rev. James Vennix officiating Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. A rosary will be said at 8 P.m. Friday evening.
