    Carl Lewis Wolfinger, Sr., age 92, died peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his home. Carl was born on January 26, 1921 in Darboy, Wisconsin son of the late John and Ida (Juckem) Wolfinger. He served his country during WWII with the United States Coast Guard from December 12, 1942 until October 19, 1945. On October 27, 1978 he was united in marriage to Janet Zastrow. They shared 35 wonderful years together. Carl was a member of St. Patrick's Parish of Stephensville. He was formerly employed with Thilmany Paper Company as a mill-worker for over 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and was a member of the American Legion Post 2930 in Portage, Wisconsin.
    Carl is survived by his wife, Janet and his children, Carl (Marilyn) Wolfinger, Jr., Weyauwega; Betty Ann Van Dyke, Green Bay; Rosie Klauber, Shirley Wolfinger, Robert Wolfinger, all of Appleton; and Janet's children, Cheryl (Ervin) Fischer, Larsen; Patty (Herman) Griesbach, Kathy (Jack) Balke, Rick (Julie) Derks, all of Appleton; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, a sister, Doris Mae Boehlein, Appleton; and by a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law, two brothers, five sisters, and his first wife, Betty.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM on Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. Patrick's Parish, N 3686 State Road 76 in Stephensville with Rev. Joseph Nsereko officiating. He will be entombed at the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Appleton, with Military Honors. Carl's Family will receive relatives and friends at Valley Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-8PM and again on Monday at the church from 9:00AM until 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Carl's name.
    Carl's family would like to thank the Staff of ThedaCare@Home Hospice for the care and compassion given unto Carl and his family and to Father Joseph and Deacon Ken for their visits at his home and when Carl was in the hospital.

    Elmer P. Wolfinger, Darboy, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007, at home after a short period of Lou Gehrig's disease at the age of 84. He was born December 29, 1922, to the late John and Ida (Juckem) in Darboy. He married the former Claire Van Thiel on 7/11/46 at St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute, they celebrated 61 years of marriage on 7/11/07. Elmer was a hardworking husband and father and never wanted to quit. He loved the construction of homes and the people he built for of which there were many to be proud of in his 56 years in business. He enjoyed working with his two sons John and Jeff. Elmer also enjoyed the cottage since 1964, taking the family skiing and on rides on the pontoon. There was also fishing and snowmobiling for the winter. He made sure there was a good fire in the fireplace (like toast). Elmer enjoyed many activities, volleyball and badminton, couples bowling, golf, horse shoes, square dancing, dice games and sheephead. Trips to Jamaica, the Bahamas, Mexico and a few cruises were also enjoyed over the years. Elmer was proud and good to his family, and truly loved his children and grandchildren and the activities they enjoyed, especially basketball. His pride also showed in his garden and rose bushes and he always made sure the birds had enough seed. Elmer was an avid Packers Fan, especially when they were winning. His winning smile would always be there.
    He is survived by his wife, Claire, his five children: Darlene (Gary) Emmers and their children, Lance (Cheri) Emmers and Brian Emmers; John (Pam-Fiancee) Wolfinger and their children, Stacey (Bill) Butler, and their children, Jenessa and Mikayla, Robin (Bob) Mayfield, and their children, Kyle and Lauren, Jon (Collette) and their children, Devon and Aubree; Kathy Loiselle and children, Jennifer (Josh) Hietpas, Kristy (John) Reider and their son, Elijah, Kerri Leigh Loiselle; Judy (Michael Francis) Wolfinger and their children, Tyler, Ashley, and Mitchell DeBruin, Lauren and Adam Francis; Jeff (Lori Richardson) Wolfinger and Jasmine (Grandpas favorite 4 legged furry friend); his brother, Carl (Jan) Wolfinger, his sister, Doris Boehnlein, brother-in-law, Clarence Bongers, sisters-in-law, Ann Stoffel, Theresa Kelly, and Frances Van Thiel, his godchildren: Tom Bongers, Jean Miskoviak and Thomas Kelly, and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Edward Wolfinger, sisters, Amelia (Howard) Dobberke, Angeline (Louis) Mueller, Loretta (Earl) Maxwell, Theresa (Lawrence) Madson, and Jeanette Cumber, godchild, Diane Dobberke.
    He was further preceded in death by his wife's family, mother and father-in-law, Leonard (Petronella Vanden Boogard) Van Thiel, brothers-in-law: Elroy Boehnlein, John Van Thiel, Edward (Joanne) Van Thiel, Joe Stoffel, and Dale Kelly; sisters-in-law: Delia (Merlin) Procknow, Maire Bongers, and infant Leona Van Thiel.
    Elmer's Mass of Christian Burial will be 4 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Jim Hablewitz officiating. Friends will be received on SUNDAY at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, from 4 p.m. until the Parish Prayer service at 7 p.m. and again on MONDAY at Church from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly. A memorial fund has been established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.

He p receded her in death in 1991. Theresa grew up at the family farm in Darbo y. Her interests included fishing, gardening and especially jigsaw puzzle s. She enjoyed spending time at her lakefront cottage with her family ne ar Crivitz.Theresa is survived by her children: William (Gloria) Madson of Kenosha, S haron (Jim) Hoots of Daggett, MI, Ken (Jyl) Madson of Kaukauna, and Gar ry (Tina) Madson of Green Bay; grandchildren: Jason, Jeremiah, Christin a, David, Theresa, Megan, Brian, Garrett and Gabrielle: great-grandchildre n: Tyler, Kendra, Anthony, Isabelle, Landon, and one due very soon; siste r: Doris Mae; brothers: Elmer (Clara) and Carl (Jan) Wolfinger.     Robert E. Wolfinger, age 50, of Appleton, passed away on December 31, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center, following a long battle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Rob was born on May 10, 1964, in Appleton, to the late Carl, Sr. and Elizabeth (Van Heeswyk) Wolfinger.
    Rob was a gentle and loving soul, an inspiration to everyone he met. He was well-known for his optimism, his perseverance and strength, his genuinely kind heart, and his ability to see the good in any situation. Many have been blessed to have known Rob.
    Survivors include his brother and sisters, Carl (Marilyn) Wolfinger; Betty Ann Van Dyke (special friend, Del Delcore); Rosemary Wolfinger Klauber; and Shirley Wolfinger; and his step-mother, Janet Wolfinger and her family. Rob is further survived by an uncle and aunts, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    Abiding by Rob's request, there will be no formal funeral services. A memorial has been established in Rob's name. The family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Medical Center and Parkside Care Center for their compassionate care. Thank you, Shirley, for your love and devotion to Rob. Also, Aunt Pat and Justin are thanked for their friendship. The Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, is serving the family.
