Age 80, passed away on Monday, March 17, 1975, in New London, WI., after a short illness. He was born on January 9, 1895, in Shiocton, WI., and lived in the area all his life.
He is survived by two stepsons, Leo (Gillian) Shepherd of Shiocton, WI. and Lyle (Donna) Shepherd of Phoenix, Arizona; a foster son, Kenneth (Helen) Wingate of Shiocton, WI.; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Brown of Appleton, WI.; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 1973, and a step-granddaughter, Brenda Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 1975, at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Shiocton with the Rev. Gerald Hinz officiating. Friends may call at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 1975, until noon Thursday and then at the church until the time of the services.
