She was born November 10, 1912 in Appleton, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kusbach) Blahnik. Katherine married Joseph Van Den Boogart on September 3, 1935 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. She worked at Karras's Restaurant for 16 years. Katherine enjoyed sewing, reading and watching football.Survivors include her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Dorothy (Joseph) Bartman, Neenah; Linda (David) Dilts, Des Moines, IA; three sons, James Van Den Boogart, Appleton; Raymond Van Den Boogart, Appleton; Thomas (Nancy) Van Den Boogart, Kaukauna; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tony Bartman; two daughters-in-la w, Susan and Helen Van Den Boogart; four sisters, Anna Moonen, Mary Bristol, Barbara Wenzlaff and Florence Bristol; and two brothers, Frank and John Blahnik.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. with Fr.     Vande Burgt, Beth, N1838 Coun ty Road CC, KaukaunaAge 64, passed away Monday, September 29, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Be th was born in West Allis on April 25, 1939, daughter of the late John a nd Mildred (Eiting) Blahnik. She was a 1957 graduate of the Kaukauna Hi gh School, and as a young woman worked at Home Mutual Insurance in Appleto n. On June 13, 1961 she married Jack Ver Voort who preceded her in dea th in 1979. After their children were grown, Beth worked as a cook in a va riety of area restaurants. On March 3, 1982, Beth married Virgil Vande Bur gt in Appleton; he survives. Later she owned and operated Beth's Corner C af in Little Chute, however ill health forced her retirement in 1993. Ma ny will remember Beth as an avid Green Bay Packer fan and an excellent coo k.Beth is survived by her husband: Virgil Vande Burgt of Kaukauna; four chil dren: Jean (Patrick) Schmidt of Kaukauna and their daughters Katie and Cla ire; Gail (Jeff) Vande Hey of Mountain and their daughter Tara; John (Chri s) Ver Voort of Hollandtown and their sons Dustin and Matt; Craig (Brend a) Ver Voort of Combined Locks and their son Cody; four sisters: Ellen (Bo b) Propson of Sherwood; Angela Duda of Kaukauna; Joan O'Malley of Germanto wn, MD; and Jean Blahnik of DePere; two brothers: Charles Blahnik of DePe re and Theodore (Kathy) Blahnik of Vancouver, WA.     Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Bartman of Neenah, age 72, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009, at Theda Clark Medical Center due to rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Born March 16, 1937, she was daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Blahnik) Van Den Boogart. Dottie married Joseph Bartman on April 27, 1957. Together they had five children, with family being the most important focus of Dottie's life. She excelled in the toughest job on Earth: being a mother. She was supportive in all of her families' endeavors; careful to "not tell them what to do," she instead helped them to learn to think for themselves.
    She was a great homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and always maintained a well stocked refrigerator/pantry to ensure all were nurtured and well fed during their frequent visits. She was lauded for her annual holiday creation of a family favorite: pfefferneuse (peppernut) cookies; and don't forget her special yummy potato salad. She also doted on and was amused by all of the furry creatures her children and grand-children brought along when visiting. Dottie also delighted in gardening and watching things grow, sewing, dancing and figuring out the plots of murder mysteries. She closely followed political activities at all levels of government and was both intrigued and dumbfounded by our representatives' interactions and the impact their (in)decisions and actions have on society and its future. She often wondered "why can't we all be kind and just get along with each other." The harshness of this world often troubled her sensitive soul.
    Dottie is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Vickie; three sons: Steven (partner, Diane Wene), Gary and Nicholas; grandchildren: Stephanie, Daniel (partner, Stephanie Heegeman), Tiffany Griffin, Amanda, Jacob, Matthew and Emily; great-grandchildren: Trista, Kaylee and Jada. Dottie is also survived by her siblings: brothers: Jim, Ray and Tom (Nancy) Van Den Boogart and sister, Linda (David) Dilts.
    She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Tony (1995), her parents in 2003 and 2004, and two sisters-in-law: Sue and Helen.
    As was her desire, only private family services will be held. Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah, is assisting the family. Online condolences:

    Obituary:
    Joana Driessen, age 80 of Combined Locks, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, June 21, 2017. Joana was born in Appleton on June 21, 1937, daughter of the late Arnold and Barbara (Blahnik) Wenzlaff. She was a graduate of Appleton High School, Appleton Business School, and Lakeland College. On November 24, 1960, she married Tom Driessen at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton.
    Joana was a woman of many talents and skills. She loved cooking, woodworking, painting, sewing, ceramics, cross-stitch, and meticulous gardening and landscaping. Many will remember her as the proprietor of Jo's Country Creations. She loved photography, and captured hundreds of images of every trip she took or every concert, program, or sporting event of her grandchildren. In their younger years, she was also the daily caregiver for three of her grandchildren, Keshia, Brandon, and Tipper. Joana was also a longtime member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and their bible study group.
    Joana is survived by her loving husband: Tom Driessen of Combined Locks; four children: Julie (Jay) Menting Edgerton of Appleton; Paul (LoriSue) Driessen of Cameron, NC; Andy (Sharon) Driessen of Foothill Ranch, CA; and Shari (Joey) Driessen LaCrosse of New Franken. There are also eleven grandchildren: Tyler (Maureen Malone) Menting, Samantha (Martin) Keberlein, Anna Driessen, Matthew Driessen, Daniel Driessen, Melanie Driessen, Kimberly Driessen, Ryan Driessen, Keshia (Eric Bloom) Driessen, Brandon (fiancée Michelle Brummond) Driessen, and Tipper (Allison Sanders) Driessen; four great-grandchildren: Michael, Claudia, Cora, and Brayden. Joana is also survived by Tom's siblings: Aggie Heiting, Mary Melinski, Kate (Tucker) Weyenberg, and Dennis (Pat) Driessen. There are also many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Joana was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law: Mike Menting; a grandson: Trav Driessen; and brothers-in-law Dennis Melinski and Richard Heiting.
    The funeral liturgy for Joana will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 Wallace Street in Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather directly at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the mass.
