    Edward H. Welhouse, "Eddie", Kaukauna, age 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 7, 2008, surrounded by his family. Eddie was the youngest of five children born to the late Henry and Anna (Mader) Welhouse of Kaukauna on February 15, 1927. Eddie served his country in the Korean Conflict. In 1947, Eddie married the late Ursula Vosters at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. Together, they had four children. Ursula preceded him in death on August 31, 1977, after sharing 30 years together. In 1978, Eddie married Ardene DeJong Geurts and together they enjoyed 30 years of marriage. Eddie lived in Kaukauna for his entire life. Eddie enjoyed working with his family, friends and neighbors on their farms and also worked in construction for Art Nimmer and was proud of all the area churches and schools he helped build. He also worked for Kaukauna Utilities for 25 years, retiring in 1992. Eddie enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing sheepshead and polka dancing. He also enjoyed spending time with family at his son's cottage in Pickerel, Wis. Eddie will be remembered for his genuine love of his family and willingness to help out with whatever task was at hand. The work ethic Eddie was known for will be hard to live up to but will serve as a model for his family. Eddie was an active member of St. Katharine Drexal Church in Kaukauna and shared a deep faith in his Lord, which sustained him as he struggled with his declining health. For the past two years Eddie lived at Kindred Hearts of Kaukauna.
    Eddie is survived by his wife, Ardene, Kaukauna and four children: Dennis Welhouse and special friend, Nancy and their children, Chad (Libby) Welhouse and Sheri (Ben) Vosters, Kaukauna; Dan (Linda) Welhouse and their children, Kari (Phil) Rabideau, Nathan (Molly) Welhouse, Brad (Jenny) Welhouse, Eric (Fiancee Leah Lamers) Welhouse, Kaukauna; Darrel (Karen) Welhouse and their children, Tara (Ryan) Micke, Erin Welhouse, Lynn Welhouse, Amy (Fiance Mark Tinkham) Welhouse; Lisa (Dave) Hartjes and their children, Joey, Danielle and Graysin Hartjes, Kaukauna; four step-daughters: Debbie (Andy) DeCoster and their children, Marty (Jackie) DeCoster, Mike (Becki) DeCoster, and Amos DeCoster, Kaukauna; Doris (John) VanHeuklon and their children, Shawn (Nicole) VanHeuklon and Sarah VanHeuklon, Kaukauna; Vicki (Jim) Zollpriester and their children, Rachel and Jordon, Wausau; Kim (Jim) Fassbender and their children, Fred and Kelsey, New London. Eddie was great grandfather to Griffen and Niah Welhouse, Colton and Cash Vosters, Brielle and Raivyn Rabideau, Stella Welhouse, Kaylee and Nolan Micke and Chloe DeCoster, a brother, Elmer Welhouse, Union Grove, a sister, LaVerne Jonen, Appleton; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bob (Lillian) Tennessen, Roger (Delores) Reimer, Jerry (Joan) Ambrosius, Ken (Rose) Romenesko, Betty Hietpas, Frank (Joyce) DeJong, and Betty DeJong. Eddie is further survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and a very special friend and lifelong neighbor, Bud Kohne.
    Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ursula; three siblings: George Welhouse, Luanna Schwalenberg, Laona Gerhartz; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ray Schwalenberg, Claude Gerhartz, Arlene Welhouse, Art Jonen, Doris Welhouse, Richard and Ruth Vosters, Jerome Vosters, Corneal DeJong, Don Hietpas, Byron Meulemans, Urban Vosters, Evelyn Vosters, Rita Vosters, Geraldine Vosters, Gordon Vosters, and Urban Vosters Jr.
    Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, which was evident in the memories shared by the family during Eddie's last days with us.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. ALOYSIUS SITE, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, TONIGHT at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. concluding the evening. Friends may again call on Wednesday directly at Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Complete Military Rites will be conducted by Post 3319 immediately following services at church. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in memory of Dad for the support of St. Vincent Society. 920-766-2099.
    The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Kindred Hearts of Kaukauna and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate and genuine care of our Dad. We would also like to extend our appreciation to family and friends who stopped in to visit with dad through the years.
    We love you dad and will treasure the time we had together.

    Obituary:
    Chad E. Welhouse, age 38, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous five year battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. He was born on January 15, 1975, to Dennis and Nancy Welhouse and resided in Hollandtown. Chad graduated from UW- Oshkosh in 1997 and worked for fifteen years as a facility manager at RR Donnely (Banta). He loved baseball his entire life and greatly enjoyed coaching his children's T-ball and Little League teams. Chad also loved snowmobiling with family and friends, and spending time cheering for the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. He spent countless hours playing baseball and softball with close friends and teammates. No matter what he did, Chad worked and played hard and never gave up. What he loved doing most of all was spending time with his family. Chad touched so many lives in so many ways, and he will be truly missed.
    Chad is survived by his wife, Libby Welhouse; children, Griffen and Niah Welhouse; parents, Dennis and Nancy Welhouse; sister, Sheri (Ben) Vosters; parents-in-law, Robert and Mary Dillenburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Anne Kamke, Sarah (Keith) Kohls, Margie (Scott) Pieper, Joe Dillenburg, Bobby (Kate) Dillenburg, Jenny Dillenburg, Kathy (Brian) O'Connell, and Andy Dillenburg; nieces and nephews, Colton and Cash Vosters, Caroline Kamke, Timothy, Alex, Rachel, and Ryan Kohls, and Evan and Cora Pieper. He is further survived many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Chad was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Jean Hoffmann; paternal grandparents, Ed (Ardene) and Ursula Welhouse; uncle, William Hoffmann; nephew, Nicholas Kohls; and niece, Emma O'Connell.
    Funeral liturgy for Chad will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at ST. KATHERINE DREXEL / ST. FRANCIS CHURCH, 433 County CE, Hollandtown, with Fr. Willard Van De Loo officiating. A time of visitation will be held at church on Friday, October 11, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with at prayer service at 8:00 p.m. An additional time of visitation will be held at church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chad's loving memory are appreciated.
    Special thanks to Dr. Gunther and the nurses at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology and Thedacare Hospice for all of their compassionate care.
