Joyce H. Wenzel, age 86, of Kaukauna, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015, at St. Paul Home. Joyce was born on February 21, 1928, in Kaukauna, to the late Leonard and Martha (Welhouse) McCabe. Joyce married James Wenzel in May of 1974: he preceded her in death on June 2, 2005.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, needlepoint, raising plants, solving puzzles and especially Country music.
Survivors include her sons, Len (Mary) Milton, Darboy, and Kenneth (Shannon) Wenzel; Cincinnati; her grandchildren, Jenny (Jason) Chevalier; Laurie (Pete) Ritger; Kenneth (Cassandra) Wenzel, Kayla (Craig) Neal, and Austin Fischer; her great grandchildren, Marley, Will and Luke Chevalier; Nathan and Elizabeth Ritger; Jackson, Calleigh and Benjamin Wenzel; and Chloe Darrow; and her sister Patricia (Michael) Milton, Darboy. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Daniel; her grandson Benjamin; her sisters, Iris Arnoldson and Shirley Hietpas; and her "brother" Ed Sullivan.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 E. Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to the time of services. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
