Obituary:
Patrick D. "Paddy" Murphy, 75, Allouez, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, following a lengthy battle with heart disease. He was born Sept. 25, 1935, in Green Bay, to Patrick and Marietta (Maloney) Murphy. Paddy was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1954. On Feb. 9, 1959, Paddy married Margaret Williams at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Green Bay, and have enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Paddy drove truck for 34 years for Olson Transportation later known as C.W. Transport. In 1987, he started Aristocratic Coach Limousine Service, and retired 16 years later due to ill health. He was very proud of his Irish Heritage and he loved to celebrate it. He enjoyed golfing, traveling in his motor home with his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and going to Packer games until he was no longer able.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three daughters and one son and their spouses, Colleen and Clay Logan, Granbury, Texas; Maureen and Dan Raisleger, Green Bay; Kelly and Michael Cox, Chicago, Ill.; Kevin Murphy, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan and Rachael Raisleger, Kayla, Sean, Casey and Michael Murphy; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike and Lonnie Murphy, Georgia; Terry Murphy, Green Bay; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Gary Brozek, Green Bay; Kathleen Murphy, Green Bay; two brothers-in-law, Dan Williams and his wife, Sue, Green Bay; Deacon Nick Williams, Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louis and Susan Williams; and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Murphy.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew Street, from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Paddy's name to benefit Unity Hospice.
