    Mrs. Caroline Williams Succumbs in New London
    The death of Mrs. Caroline Williams, 86, who has been ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Krause for some time, occurred at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Krause home, death being due to old age. The body was taken at once to the home of her son, Norman Williams at Shiocton. Deceased is survived by three sons, Norman, Wesley and Earl all of Shiocton, and Mrs. Maude Krause of this city.

    New London Residents at Shiocton Funeral
    Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Williams, 82, who died in this city at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Krause, Monday afternoon, Jan. 31, were held at 1:30 Friday afternoon at the home of her son Norman Krause (mistake - this was Norman Williams) at Shiocton. The Rev. N.W. Conkle of the Shiocton Congregational church conducted the services. Pallbearers included N.O. Towne, A. Barnes, E.A. Darling, R.D. Fisher, A. Lonkey and H. Palmer. Burial was made in the Shiocton cemetery. Those attending the funeral from this city included Mr. and Mrs. Art Sweeney, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sterns, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Krause, Mrs. C.J. Krause and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wildfang of Waupaca.

    Williams Funeral
    The funeral of Mrs. Caroline D. Williams, Shiocton, who died Feb. 1 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.C. Krause, New London, was held Friday afternoon at the Norman G. Williams residence, Shiocton, with the Rev. N.W. Conkle in charge. Interment was in Bovina Cemetery.
    She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Tyler, pioneer residents of the town of Bovina, and was born in Hancock, N.Y., Oct. 28, 1843. She came to Wisconsin with her parents in 1859, locating in Eureka. She married Wesley B. Williams July 4, 1864, and the couple lived at Eureka until 1860, then moving to the town of Bovina. They lived on the Williams Stock and Fruit farm until the death of Mr. Williams in 1913. Since then, Mrs. Williams lived with her children.
    Four Children survive. They are Wesley of Bovina, Earl of Green Bay, Norman of Shiocton and Mrs. Maude E. Krause of New London. Three children preceded her in death.

Krause of New London, and Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Stern of New London. Mrs. Amelia Washburn was a New London caller Wednesday.

    Wesley B. Williams, 85, 1223 W. Summer Street, died about 11:45 Friday night at his home after a lingering illness. He was born June 16, 1869, in the town of Bovina, farmed in the Shiocton area for several years, and lived in Appleton the last 16 years.
    Funeral services will be at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Wichmann Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl H. Wiese in charge. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call after 7 o'clock Sunday evening.
    Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lyle Caldie, Appleton, Mrs. Lester Thayer, New London, and Mrs. Wilma Komatz, Wisconsin Rapids; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

    Mrs. Andrew Komatz, 70, died at 2:05 a.m. today at Family Heritage Nursing Home where she had been a patient for two months. Death followed a year's illness. She formerly lived at 2941 E. Chestnut St. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church; the Rt. Rev. Msgr. C.W. Gille officiating, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
    Mrs. Komatz, the former Wilma B. Williams, was born at Shiocton July 14, 1896, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Wesley Williams. She was married to Andrew Komatz at Black Creek February 24, 1919. They came to Wisconsin Rapids 45 years ago. Her husband died February 4, 1945.
    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lester Thayer, New London, and Mrs. Gordon Griffin, Wisconsin Rapids, and eight sons, Clarence, Shiocton, James, Babcock; David, Ventura, California, Frederick, Weathersford, Texas, Herbert, Edward, Roy and RAymond, all of Wisconsin Rapids.
    There are 31 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home beginning Wednesday noon. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

    Michael Allen Caldie died on June 11, 2014, after a short illness. He was born on February 2, 1943, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of Roger H. Caldie and Virginia Jahnke Caldie. Michael attended Appleton public schools and graduated from Appleton HS (West) in 1961.
    After graduation, Michael enlisted in the United States Air Force. After military discharge, he began full time employment as a hair stylist in Appleton. He moved to Milwaukee, WI, where he continued with his career and passion - helping to make ordinary women happier with their outward appearance. He moved to Fort Myers, FL, in 1996, where he lived until his passing. He had a long list of happy and satisfied clients mainly because he forever had a kind word to say and was at his best when he worked his craft & art. He loved music and always had his stereo tuned in to listen to a wide variety of music.
    Michael is survived by his brother, Scott T. Caldie of Bluffton, SC; nieces, Laura (Chris) Richardson of Oakland, CA; and Kristen (Michael) of Odenton, MD; and a nephew, Andrew Brock of Santa Monica, CA; and his "favorite" aunt, Jeanie Caldie Ford (and Noel) of Appleton, WI. His best friend and good "buddy" DeLieu McDonough of Fort Myers, FL will miss him dearly as will his neighbors in the Sandalwood community, especially, Gene and Peggy. He is also survived by cousins who loved to hear the stories of "Uncle Mike" but whom never got to enjoy knowing him as well as others as Michael was a "home body" and did not take to travel.
    Michael was preceded in death by his father in 1992, his beloved and kindred spirit sister, Kay L. Brock, in 1993, his partner in life, Ronald Thomson in 2008, his mother in 2011 and Scott's wife, Jeanne, who died in April of 2011 - whom he loved to talk to endlessly about life, fun and family. Michael was a good man; a good friend; a good brother and a good son. RIP
    Cremation has taken place and his remains are entombed at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
